Irish atmosphere A full pub.

Irish atmosphere A full pub.
A wide variety of beer.
The food menu is cheap for this place.
A store where you can feel free to come in and relax.

A great welcome at O'Hara's after visiting the 9/11 memorial. This place was left standing after the attacks and closed for 7 months. Great beers, loud, dark, noisy, funny. Classic NY bar. Ask to see the memorial book.

Food was good and the atmosphere was better. It was amazing to see all of the patches from 1st responders from around the world on the walls. We ate here after we visited the 911 Memorial Museum. This place rounded out the experience.

Small selection of beers on tap that were more expensive than I felt the selection was worth. The food was decent, just your average bar food that didn't stand out from the crowd, but it was quite expensive for what you got.

We went here because they had so many stars on Google. The space was very tough. Unfortunately, I have gluten intolerance and need some extra service when eating out. So I asked the waitress if they had gluten free food. I was told that they had only 1 chicken dish that was gluten free and that one could order burger without bread. I chose the burger.
When this was served I got bread. As I told the waitress I couldn't have. Because it lay on top of burger breads.
When it was returned to the kitchen, the waitress comes back and asks if I can be sweetened, since they are deep-fried with things that have gluten in them. This is fine for me. I don't often react to fried potatoes.
When I say this she gets angry and asks why I can't have the burger when it's been on the bread. It will be difficult for me to explain. But breadcrumbs are much more dangerous to me than fried foods. The situation becomes very unpleasant. But they take and make me a new burger. Then comes a new burger and everything looks okay. The waitress is sour. And go back to another waiter. I can both see and hear the conversation they have. She takes and throws on cutlery while she cleans another drill and is angry.
When I start eating at the burger I notice it's raw. It is completely red on the inside. But then the situation is already unpleasant and I really just want to go from there. I choose not to say anything more, I eat the edge and the accessories. I give this place 2 stars. Sad to have to be the one who pulls down the cut. But this was my experience with O'Hara's.

Very nice pub in the heart of New York. Very popular with firefighters and women. The whole pub is full of badges. Paul, the boss of the pub, is a really full guy. Let 'the Book' show you. It shows September 11th and the time after in the street.

Good place! Went on short notice for a 5pm happy hour with the office. Great location in the Financial District and I love the Irish accents from a lot of the servers. Good mix of local craft beers. Had a handful of apps and they were good.

Service was slow and disorganised. Tried to get a second glass of wine and was told to sit down had to wait for the slow waiters to assist. As for the Guinness it had no head and tasted off. Will not be recommending this place to friends. As for the food very very dry - over cooked

We stumbled on this place as my boyfriend was so distressed after the 9/11 museum that he needed a beer ! It was heaving but we managed to get a seat. We met another couple who were from US and ended up having many many drinks! Anyway we stayed so long that we didn t make our romantic valentines dinner and went to the curry house next door :-) There are rescue worker badges all over this bar which are fascinating to look at. The staff here work really hard and are super friendly. I would definitely drink here again

I understand in full the history of this place, but going back in last week for the first time in a few years?? The staff didn't really care if you wanted a drink and you don't want to order the food.. It's become uneatable. Go in for one drink and move on to other places in the city. This place used to be respectable.

Excellent food and service. It's a must do for the out of town tourist to see the Police and fire dept patches and pics from 9/11. I've been there twice now. Very friendly staff.... Very helpful assisting us with subway and train directions for yankees vs Mets venue. Thank you Shawn !! The LIRR was a perfect fit for our needs and was way more comfortable than the subway.

Some of the rudest bar staff I've ever encountered, which is a shame as it's a great bar in the Irish Tavern style, with lots of history.
I'd have to say avoid. There are a number of other Irish pubs in the Financial District

Great bar located just outside freedom Tower, some really interesting memorabilia inside from all the fire departments from across the globe showing respect to those last in the 9/11 tragedy. Great beer, great atmosphere and a real feel of NYC

A nice place to escape the city. Great service at the bar, comes immediately into the conversation. Sharp wings enjoyed, beer to every taste. Story Book the bar in relation to 9/11 looked at. Dozens of badges from different authorities hang on the walls and elsewhere.

Amazing place - the food is great, but the atmosphere and staff are on another level!

We had a vegetarian in our group, and they went out of their way to accommodate her, including bringing to the table the original packaging of some ingredients to make sure they were vegetarian! Phenomenal service.

Highly recommended!!

We went here after visiting the 9/11 Memorial and it was the perfect counter point. Every wall and much of the ceiling is covered in first responders patches. The food is classic pub fare, the service is great a bit sassy and very fun. Another example of resilience.

I just love this place! Well worth a visit when coming to the WTC! It is the local hangout for all of the First Responders in the area and it was one of the few establishments left standing after 9/11. When you visit, ask to see their 9/11 scrapbook. Very moving experience looking thru the book. When we were last there, the place was packed with fireman who had been to a funeral for one of their own and one of the 9/11 First Responders surprised us with a visit to our table! I felt so honored to meet such a kind and humble hero. God's speed Tim D.!!

Classic Irish bar and restaurant. We stopped in for dinner after visiting the 9/11 memorial. The place is covered with badges from fire companies and police forces from across the company. Whoever poured the Guiness knew exactly what they were doing. Atmosphere was fantastic.

Systemically important to the WTC area. A must for thirsty first responder types. Yes, it may seem touristy at first glance - but it is genuine/authentic. Awesome place to get a Guinness on a Tuesday.

Stopped in here before going into the September 11 museum. Great people, good ambience, and a great local feel. It was great seeing the fire department patches on the wall as well. Overall a great atmosphere and good experience!
