As far as Irish pubs go, this one exceeds expectations. With TWO bars and a friendly bar staff, this place will make you feel at home no matter who you are. Right next to the world trade center, this pub seems like it was a place for firefighters and police to pay tribute to the New York first responders. The walls are lined with patches of fire and police precincts from across the country. This is a local bar that carries it's own history, like it is just waiting to be filmed.

Great traditionally style east coast American bar. Reminded a little of the bars in Boston. Good bears and ambiance. Food is good, but nothing special for the price though. Good location for a drink in the Downtown area and near Battery Park.

It's location makes it a 'place', but the reality is that this is a classic NYC Irish bar. Cold beer. Quality drinks. Great burger, crispy steak fries and a great bar staff. The real deal.

My food was ok. I got the grilled cheese and bacon with sweet potato fries. The cheese was barely melted and the bread was too hard with no type of butter taste. The place was packed though and the bartenders were very busy. I've had better food on other visits.

The atmosphere was so cool. Ask for the 9/11 photo book! Food was okay, but we only got sandwiches so we can't judge!
If you're a emergency responder, police officer, military etc... bring a unit patch!

A couple of us visited this pub because it was conveniently located next door to our hotel. I guess we shouldn't have been so lazy that night. This place has a lot of what I will call character but that's all I will say about that. It looks like something straight off a tv show. A bit divey. I'm sure the locals love it but as someone visiting I was underwhelmed. Ok getting past all of this as mentioned in other reviews there is the fact that its located across the street from the World Trade Towers. A lot of history here.

Unfortunately I wish the food lived up to the character of the bar. I know this is a bar but if you are going to serve food please make it a little attractive. We all ordered burgers. They were a nice size but the flavor was nill. I also had a Long Island Iced Tea which was good but after we ate we dipped out of the place.

Even if you're not a regular here, they treat you like one of the regulars. I've come to this bar a few times over the last couple of years. This bar is synonymous with being open after the 9/11 attacks serving beer to first responders. If you are ever near the World trade Center, make sure you stop by this neighborhood institution, you won't be disappointed!

What a place, beautiful .. typical English pub you can say, chock full of law enforcement patches from any country in the world. Find yourself next to the fire station adjacent to great zero, it only makes you go in for that. delicious sandwiches also friendliness and super top service..super recommended

Awesome bar! The location is perfect if you are visiting the World Trade Center and the 9/11 Memorial. I highly suggest the buffalo chicken tenders and any of their burgers. Also, the book with pictures of the bar around 9/11 is something you have to see. Definitely my favorite bar in NYC.

We enjoy this place. Almost every time we go to Manhattan we stop in O'Hara's. Good beer list, really good food and the prices are much better than most restaurants in the city.

Ordered a burger medium rare. They brought me a burger that was so raw that it was just goo on the inside. It was literally falling apart. The waiter insisted that what I got was medium rare, but agreed to have it remade. They brought me a hockey puck, which I ate half of because I needed food, but I couldn't finish it because it was so dry. I won't be going back.

Great experience, very fast service. Had more than one server for all customers, one for drinks, one to take food order, and one serve. Food was cooked to order and served hot. Hade a decent selection of pub food at reasonable prices.

Before (three times) visit this time is disappointing. All tables reserved so we only took beers at the bar counter. A bad day for the bartender. Said and later spilled beer on us. Appeared in the tip.

Phenomenal place. Staff are very friendly and provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere. They have a great knowledge of the city and can direct. Food is good and a great selection of drinks. Ask to see there scrap book for a bit of history.

Amazing place!

Amazing place!
The staff is friendly, the interior is full of stripes/chevrons from all over the world, the outside view is beautiful. Love it!

This place should be preserved as a historical site thanks to that whole staff and Paul, millions leave ground zero with an uplifting feeling....I have brought military veterans [USAF TACPs] here and will be bringing patches, thanks for the memories Paul.

I first experienced the O'Haras atmosphere when doing a memorial 9/11 event in NYC. The bar is located right at Ground Zero, and was directly affected by that days tragedies. Regardless, as a gathering place for many police and fire personnel and their families, there is a ton of history here. Warm and welcoming, the employees make the bar. This is a must visit on any trip to NYC.

If you visit the 9/11 museum, you must go here too (it's literally over the road). I don't want to give away too much, but it's kind of a museum in itself. Great staff, excellent choice of drinks.

They accommodated our large group for lunch quickly, even though we did not have a reservation. The falafel was delish and I love the wine flight to accompany it. The band performing that night was loading in during our lunch and we were able to watch the magic happen. Large venue with great wine list and yummy food offerings. Glad we came upon this place during our travels.

Very close to the memory of 11S, typical Irish Tavern that we find all over the world, but it has a uniqueness, the decoration on all the walls are patches of police, firefighters and emergency services that participated in the rescue of the fateful attack, they have also added from all parts of the world, you can see the Spanish National Police, Firefighters of Aragon ...

To eat, we decided on two hamburgers, two different to try, both around 12 dollars and to drink a delicious craft beer from the area for 7 dollars, they are not the best hamburgers we ate in New York, but they are good, the Service is normal, therefore the experience is good.
