Great location. Near the airport. There is a free shuttle from the airport to the hotel. From the hotel to the airport you can book a place in Chatel and pay. Very close by there is a tram that can be reached to the airport. Line 10 and 12. Arrive long enough to buy tickets from the machine. The hotel staff is friendly. The breakfast is varied. In the evening you can order a meal at the restaurant for an extra fee. The room was clean

We arrived at hotel at 9:30pm only to found that the restaurant is already closed. $20 for a burger at the bar was not an option so instead of taking the risk we decided to skip the dinner. Be prepared to carry your own luggage to room. Not a big deal, we really just wanted a quiet sleepover until traveling further next day. At the booking time we requested a non-smoking room, repeated the same request at check in. The polite staff reassured us that ALL rooms are non smoking and that there is a penalty for smoking in hotel. The moment we open the room door we were hit with distinctively unpleasant odour . My bed linen was stained. There was a black hair in the bathroom; no tiles on the bathroom floor, just a plastic floor cover. Room carpet and especially common area carpet is old, tired and smelly. I am not an overly fussed guest, and I can put up with a lot, but this was bit too much even for a quick overnight stay. Novotel Airport is not business travelers quick and smart retreat, but rather a backpackers solution. The fair price for such accommodation should be $99 per night, not twice that much; but again, I would not mind the price if we could have a clean, odour free room and at least late meal, as advertised.

I would imagine that guests from Asia, Russia, Australia. Middle east and probably most North Americans spoiled with choices and expecting value for money service would be terribly disappointed with Novotel Zurich Airport. The star rating is unrealistic and dare I say deceiving. The whole "Swiss" brand experience was nowhere to be found, and quite frankly, in the future, we intend to avoid Zurich altogether. Luckily, we had a great stay in Geneva and Neuchatel.

Once and never again - horror, inexcusable, if in the middle of the night a stranger in the hotel room is, because the room was twice awarded. That must not happen, certainly not if you have 4 stars.

1) The wait on curtesy bus was terrible I had to split with my wife in order to get to hotel because of a very small bus
2) I had a clogged sink that they promised to repair only after I leave
3) I was told the room has 265 sq ft, you could write 700 sq ft but I know the different this has maybe 190 sq ft
4) Receptionist was inattentive, I called the front desk to report the problem with sink, I called for more then 15 minutes I had to go down to lobby to get their attention
5) no body to help you with luggage

Good and clean hotel with helpful staff but for the money they ask I would say it's a bit excessive based on value for money.
For the covered parking I was asked for 90 a night.
The hotel is 7 km from the center of Zurich

Staff very welcoming and pleasant, but rude and disrespectful customers, lack of staff and equipment (no cups ...) at the breakfast buffet (still costing 10 ) left dirty by previous guests, mattress with uncomfortable springs, poorly insulated rooms ... very disappointing from Novotel, usually very clean, welcoming and satisfying.

Good place to stay in Zurich. The hotel is far from the center, but just outside the hotel is the tram stop. Just take the 10 and in 30 minutes you arrive in the center. Zurich transports are really efficient. As far as the hotel is concerned, I felt good. Abundant and international breakfast, good services, restaurant ok. Room clean and all in all spacious, maybe the bathtub to be reviewed (mold in the seals, but those who travel know that it is a hotel classic), but overall a great experience.

Vacuum cleaner in the room in the evening, coca perimetre in the minibar, I asked 3 times to have a capsule to make tea, there was supposedly more! room not finished being cleaned, internet for 3 days while we stayed 4, ambrouilles in reservations (3 rooms) .... we stay 2 times a year in this hotel but it's getting worse and worse, we Let's change for the next time, too expensive for a deplorable service.

The hotel is very conveniently located, the airport pick up and drop shuttle was very convenient indeed ! The tram station for going downtown was just opposite the hotel main door and we were able to reach downtown within 30 minutes.
The downside was the room amenities. In particular, the TV was not working at all and the hotel staff claimed that they could do nothing about it for the next two days as it was a weekend. We were offered a change of room late at night, which was obviously not an option.
It appears that there were certain rooms where the TV was working and certain rooms where it was not. We suggest that the amenities in a room be checked before it is allocated to a guest.

Very very very bad service about the shuttle bus, ...

Very very very bad service about the shuttle bus, we paid full fees for 10 persons, first shuttle bus was delay and no spece for all..., second shuttle bus had same situations..., third shuttle bus was not for us..., forth shuttle bus was unenough space and driver wanted us hold all kids in the car, it was very unreasonable and excessive requirements. After our reaction, fifth shuttle bus was coming, 6 perons and luggages rode forth shuttle bus and 4 persons rode fifth shuttle bus... In the fact, we wasted over 40 mins for this situation, very exaggerating...
Finally, it's the fault of the other party that Novotel hotel and the shuttle bus company blame each other... It's a very bad experience for us!

Hotel is close to the airport and provides free shuttle service to the airport every 30 minutes. We stayed our stay overall. The front desk staff was very welcoming and courteous. Good price for a hotel in Zurich.
The only negative is the bed was not very comfortable.

Very bad..especially with house keeping and recept...

Very bad..especially with house keeping and reception and maintenance ..washroom sink wasn t working well wasn t draining .reported on the very first day ..no one fixed it second day reported again someone came and took the sink clog out
Then it started to leak from the Bottom.,not even offered to either repair it or to give us another room
We stayed there only for 3 nights from 2am-10 am only
Don t recommend anyone this hotel ..been to Italy stayed in 3 different hotels with 3 star was way way better than this 4 star hotel

Exceptional service, very fast check-in and very clear and effective instructions. Nice and cozy rooms with decent facilities, very good breakfast. They also have a shuttle service to the Zurich airport (chargeble, 4 CHF only). Trams are also available from just outside the hotel. Highly recommend for families, business, couples etc.

I put 1 star per obligation otherwise I would have put 0. We did not stay at the hotel but used their parking service on Park. At the beginning ill-mannered driver, during the heat wave we take a little water in the mini bus, the driver tells us no food no drink! Ok, it's just water, I will not do any stains. Then back, we were the first to wait for the mini bus that passes every hour but we could not climb because about fifteen Hindus had reserved rooms at their hotel so they went before us, with a driver in stress, who spoke to us as the M ... After 24 hours of travel, it is very unpleasant especially that we had also paid a benefit. So do not choose one of the Park Novotel because if you have not booked rooms at home you will have to wait for the next shuttle.

We stayed in this hotel the night before our flight out of Zurich. It is conveniently located across the street from the street car which takes you to both the train station (about 30 minutes) and the airport. The check in experience was pleasant except for a few unexpected fees and the room seemed nice, but a little warm and a lot of noise from the road. We took showers, which soaked the entire bathroom due to only having half a shower door, and turned the thermostat down a bit and went to grab some dinner. When we returned the room was warmer than we had left it and super humid from the showers. I turned the thermostat all the way down and it felt like it was getting a little cooler and went to bed.
Both of us got a terrible night's sleep due to the road noise, and the fact that the room never cooled down and fluctuated between slightly warm to unbelievably warm. I would never stay here again

As soon as my family arrived Zurich Novotel hotel ...

As soon as my family arrived Zurich Novotel hotel near airport, we found that the water in the sink was not going down.

My husband asked the staff, check it. The staff came and she said she would send technician. But there were no respons until evening.
We asked another staff again. She came and she would ask manager and call our room right away.
We waited until 1 am. There were no call or any response.

The next day when we check out hotel, the same staff who promised call back, she didn't mention or explain it to my family.

My family are so surprised her attitude.
My husband asked her, "Did you talk your manager?."
She just said," Yes"
She did not say any explanation or sorry.
I am so angry and said, " last night you said you will call back our room. So we wait until 1am"

I and my family will not go back Novotel hotel again.
The hotel is mess for the service and the guests.
Because of the hotel my family's last day of vacation ruined and the image of swiss people became bad.

A standard Novotel, only the public areas are freshly opened. Rooms are OK but unspectacular, some seems a bit shabby. Convenient location right on the tram. Sometimes the breakfast room is a bit crowded, nice staff ...

We had a pleasant stay at the Novotel Zurich Airport Messe. It was convenient to and from the airport and the early morning shuttle service was much appreciated. It was prompt and on time. Our room was clean and comfortable. Very quiet overnight. Our lunch at the restaurant patio was very nice after a long drive.

We have stayed there on 17th May. The location is good, the rooms were great. Facilities are awful though. There was no space in cloakroom. There were no match box for customer. The worst experience was the restaurant there. Part of our group ordered samosas, they gave 4 pieces per plate. They also provided tap water as per request. Later that day, all of our group ordered samosas again and they provided 3 samosas per plate. So we have asked them to serve 4 as per earlier order. The person said they usually provide only 3 and earlier they made mistake. Also they can not provide tapwater. So to verify we asked to bring the member who has served us 4 samosas. The person said that guy is on break. So we asked him to bring the in charge of the restaurant, he said the person in charge is not available and he was not the in charge. We have asked him there has to be an in charge, he said no, there is nobody in charge at the moment. So one of our member said "There has to be a person in charge" and he replied, "Sir, this is not India, it doesn't work the way you want. This is Switzerland, if you don't know the rules, you should not argue. You don't know how things works in foreign country." We were so shocked by this kind of racial abuse. We straight away left the place". The person who has racially abused us, his name is Vikram. We are contacting the embassy, the Accor management to fire this employee.

Also, to add one more thing, they made us wait for about 45 minutes to provide rooms even though we reached at 1:45pm.

All problems can be tolerated accept racial abuse. Racial abuse is strictly not acceptable.

Please stay away from this racist place.

Very conveniently located (directly at the tram stop), seven minutes from the airport. Reception very friendly, as well as the barman late at the inlet beer. The rooms very nice, comfortable, functional and clean. We felt very comfortable. The only thing that did not fit was the price for the breakfast. If it is already so expensive, then I would also like to find a place in the breakfast room and not have to queue in rows of two at the buffet. The breakfast restaurant is unfortunately much too small for this hotel. The food quality is okay.

TV was apparently spoiled as soon as I entered the room, hence I dialed 888 for numerous times but no one answered. For whatever's sake though, why providing 3x220v electric sockets if they are super close to another, logically speaking, they are basically pointless knowing adaptors tend to have width dimension that collides. My first night was therefore a bit of nightmare, even worse they put me at the corner way too far from the lift. This is beyond comprehension over hospitality matter indeed.

There is part of me wish to cringe more about this place as a first timer tourist like the bathtub is too high to either step in or out especially for old people, the bathroom door which to allegedly open and close by itself unless you smash it, the tower hanger is nevertheless unreasonable to be at concerning that you will be taking a bath with it and by the nature as you are holding on to it, the water will, without a doubt, have the towel washed. Last but not least it lies on the leaking shower hose.

However, despite all those unfortunate circumstances, I do appreciate some points such as delicate food and well-mannered servers as well as the cleanliness on every areas.
