Novotel Zürich Airport Review

Like all Novotels, the room is not big but comfortable enough for a short stay. This one is no different, except for the bathroom which was a bit sub par. This hotel is located 10 minutes away from the airport with a free shuttle every 30/60 minutes. The staff was nice. The executive rooms includes a mini bar where the consumption of non alcoholic drinks is already included. Breakfast was really nice but the restaurant can get very crowded. The weakest point of this hotel goes to the gym. Probably the worst I've seen in any Novotel.

Hotel is not worth the money rooms are very small nd they don't give you basic things like morning kits shaving kits etc

Didn't expect the rooms to be so small, reception area is very small as well. When I arrived, there was a large tour group arrived before me and the hotel corridor/reception area coupd barely fit us. Had to wait for at least 20 min to check in. When finally we got to our room, we realised that someone else was already settled down in there... Which was shocking. I spent a night worrying that someone else might walk in the room. I will definitely avoid this hotel in future, no matter what offers they bring in.

Excellent location - easy access to the airport and the center, great value for money. WARNING - deposit required!

Friendly staff, but obviously has its best years long behind. Not the "Novotel standard" I'm used to from other such houses!

I often visit Zurich on business and never look any further than the Novotel in Glattpark to stay. Friendly and attentive staff always make it welcoming and pleasant, and now with some "special" rooms it has become more interesting.

Good place to stay. Neat and clean right opposite tram Station. There is pick and drop from the airport.

Near to Airport and good value for money with good area for charged parking 20 swiss francs

Take to long to get you room, just saw a family of 4. 2 years old kid coming from long flight from dubai 1130am and they told then be back at 330pm. Not Nice

get there by taking the trolly train from the airport (#10 or #12). the stop is just outside the door of the hotel

We booked this hotel due to its proximity to the airport as we arrived late in the evening. There was a free shuttle from the airport to the hotel. This was really convenient. We stayed for one night. The room was a bit worn out, but everything worked. The breakfast buffet was quite good, with a good variety to choose from. There is also a corner in the lobby where children can play with games and toys. A tram stop is just outside.

It's a good hotel. The breakfast spread was good. And a little friendly to the Indian taste buds. But be really careful with giving your credit card details for the security deposit. You don't want to be wrongfully charged whereby the reversal of the charges becomes really difficult. Use cash as far as possible. On the positive it's really near to the airport by tram and the hotel gives a shuttle service too.

It's in airport zone only. If we want to go out, tram station is just in front of this Novatel. Good ambience. Breakfast is good with lot of varieties

Very good hotel and breakfast is excellent. The restaurants around are expensive.

Location ok. Rooms require improvement. The fan in the bathroom keeps going, you can hardly feed a laptop with the thicker feeder.

The room we received was not adapted for the disabled. Since we were transferred there because of a flight delay, we did not insist. The room itself provides. It has a coffee maker, free wifi TV

The possibility of keeping the room until 5pm on Sunday is fantastic.
Helpful staff ... the only flaw the parking costs 20.- CHF (outside) ... a bit exaggerated since there are few parking possibilities in the area

The common areas need remodeling, a good size room, a covered sink, the TV did not make it sound. Reception never answered the phone. Bus ok. I was only a few hours

The airport shuttle bus is provided and the breakfast is satisfactory. Rooms are a little old.

Overall, a cozy place to stay. The hallways were stinking though.

Hotel is ok. An insolence is the additional 29.- for parking must be paid as a hotel guest. Should be free if you have already stayed.

Everywhere long black hair from its predecessor, toilet in the room was not clean, in the toilet next to the seminar rooms the whole day no paper towels. Breakfast buffet rather below average. Everything of a 4 star hotel unworthy. The staff nice and helpful!

Very comfortable hotel, only a few tram stops from the airport. A great location for a business trip.

Our stay was quite an experience with good and bad experiences.
Negatives are: the bar is closed or far too early, when we arrived at the hotel the weather was warm and we were thirsty, the bar was closed at 9 pm and the drink in the room fridge was also warm, there was no store nearby to buy liquor.
A plug for electricity was available at the reception and cost us 10 euros to use 3 days (this is ridiculously expensive)
Breakfast at 30 euros per person is just a bridge too far for us, again little alternative.

Staff very friendly and responsive. However, certain things do not even happen at all:
Room 411 stinks pitiful !!!! I was sick right away!
Mold in the bathroom and the carpet is filthy! (See photos)
That is not how it works!
If you take groups (also Asians), you have to ventilate the rooms always well and clean. For us Europeans, a room stinks like that!
The flight crew was extremely loud in the lobby!
I'm actually used to better from the Novotels.

There is a bathtub in the bathroom, and the speed of WiFi is relatively stable and fast compared to other European hotels.

A really big bunker. Good soundproofing. Nice rooms. Friendly staff

Great location if your flying out the next day. An easy train ride to and from the airport. The hotel shuttle and train are both 4.00. The breakfast is not included, but looked tasty with a lot of options. Room was a normal size hotel room, not the typical smaller rooms. Staff was super friendly.

Fring very clean, same as the building is very old we were overprotective for the cleanliness, the superb breakfast varied, the staff very friendly.
To be ready from the airport was not so noisy, public transport all ready, it was superb the minifoot table.

The hotel was very clean and pleasant, and we appreciated their shuttle service to and from the airport nearby(it was not free, we had to pay extra). I was disappointed that they really didn't have much variety in restaurants in the vicinity. We finally were able to find an American style food eatery where we enjoyed bbq ribs, chicken wings, and nachos. Being that it was Sunday though, the town was so dead, it was like walking through a ghost town! A bit strange...

Very modestly, the rooms have a period of glory behind them. Breakfast for 3+. Ok for 1 night on a business trip, but definitely not for a weekend with a girl.

It is a budget hotel for Zurich standards, so my expectations were not very high on the comfort is offered. But there is one point that is essential: unfortunately, there were deficits in the cleanliness. Travelers had to change rooms because of unpleasant odors, surfaces were not cleaned carefully, that these rooms were given free is a mystery to me.

Infrastructure is rather ok. The personell not that friendly
