From the get go the team were extremely accommodating and made our stay special with a bottle of wine and a thank you for staying with us note. They also provided a Easter egg hunt which was a nice personal touch.

From the cleaning lady who was exceptionally nice and enjoyed a laugh with us to the staff at the front desk who gave us the car passes, everyone was so well mannered and professional. The buffet breakfast was a star with all the breakfast options you could think of as well as a barista and juice bar. The food at Pepes was also great with my personal favourite the jerk chicken.

We sat down stairs one night at the lobby bar and enjoyed the live entertainment as well as having a sneaky play on the pokies.

All in all mate this was truly the best Easter getaway we have had as a family and I can t thank you enough. Please pass on my thanks and sincere gratuity to the whole Novotel team who made this stay special!

Our stay was great, we loved the rooms and hotel location, price was good value also.
Unfortunately dinner was a big let down, not due to the fantastic food but more of a let down for the complete lack of service. It started when I tried to show my silver membership card and the front desk just wasn't interested (resulted in over charging that was corrected on check out). None of the wait staff approached my partner and I to ask if we'd like a drink or how everything was. Not even once!
They started setting tables for breakfast from around 7.30pm rather than serving the guests enjoying dinner. Unfortunately the complete lack of service made the lovely food less enjoyable.

Rustic hotel. Icon of Wollongong South coast. Nestled right on the heart of Wollongongs North beach offering picturesque views. Within walking distance of the kiosk and other famous drinking locations such as Pepe's.

Great hotel by the beach. Great view from the ocean view room/floor.
Service was reasonable and rooms were tidy.
Good shower as well.
Nice restaurant down stairs with option of seafood buffet which is a bargain if you are accor plus member.
No charge for accor members re: carpark which is another plus

Modern updated rooms are well presented. Beds are tend sag in the middle. Staff are very helpful, friendly and efficient.

Buffet meals are extensive, and pricey. The food is fresh and tasty. Paid parking is tight and awkward to manoeuvre in, especially larger vehicles.

Overall a very good experience were number of issues that I regard is not up to standard of a four star establishment the rooms not being ready on time and then electronic key not working basically due to communication between housekeeping no milk for coffee or tea and oversight from housekeeping the hotel has done a major renovation and looks very good but the the design of the bathroom allows too much water to run into the bathroom floor which can be a safety hazard for elderly people the shower itself is like a fire hose I've never had a shower head that puts out such pressure with their water and it's very hard to adjust to get the right pressure and temperature from the shower has Pleasant views nephew local wildlife giving you a visit on the balcony staff were friendly and helpful but I would say that reception needs a bit of work

Had a great couple nights. Elevator broke down in the morning and we were stuck in it for about 30minutes. Had to delay a meeting with friends. Was offered to come back in the afternoon and there would be something waiting for us. Reception didn't know anything and believed we were making it up. Got 2 free drinks which was hardly worth all the hassle.

An excellent buffet in a very pleasant setting. The service was friendly and efficient. When the restaurant filled up it became quite noisy, but the "rush hour" came and went over about 45 minutes and since we lingered over out anniversary lunch for about two hours, we outlasted the crowd and thoroughly enjoyed the day.

This hotel is under MAJOR renovation and we were not warned before hand. It has a cold and deserted feel to it - not at all a holiday destination. The "pop up" restaurant was just that and the food only ok. VERY disappointed we were not told of the renovation as I planned this long awaited trip for a friend who was in need of a special get away. VERY disappointing experience!

Fantastic place for family and beach goer's loving north Wollongong Beaches. Enjoy a stay with novotel they might impress u with a great seafood buffet and a great room discount if you hold an Accor membership. Easter long weekend kids easter hunt in the room so that was fun for them. Only lost a star rating because they faced a double booking and u unfortunately they booked at another location 10 mins away. So I am not sure what happened there. But rest of it was great. Could do with a little extra bonus for member stays like late check out or extra. Chocolate Lol.

Had breakfast at Windjammers. Overall great visit. I do feel they could of had at least another staff nember as we arrived at apptox 9.30am and it was quite busy, the staff were overworked clearing tables, topping up and accomodating guests. They really need to be commended for their work on this day.

Having to move rooms three times ion three days was not relaxing and being woken with a drill early on the first morning not knowing that that would be the case was very disappointing.

I was also looking forward to swimming each day and a spa however neither were working for the duration of my stay. I also found a hair in the bake beans at breakfast to which the staff were very apologetic and sent a bottle of wine to my room to say sorry.
My trip was for complete quiet and relaxation which unfortunately wasn't what happened.

Location is great, right next to the beach with a good view of the lighthouse. Hotel was modern and clean, beds were comfortable and the aircon worked like a charm. Not too far of a walk from some of the local clubs either which makes it a great place to stay overnight.

I rang Novotel Wollongong the day the Elton John tickets came out for sale, that was money ha ago now.
I booked a studio suite with a balcony and a bath tub.
Apon checking in today, 15mins ago, I am appalled to find out we have a studio room with NO balcony and NO bath tub.
We rang reception, but to no avail to them honouring the room I booked months ago.
I am so furious and will NEVER book with ANY of the ACCOR group of hotels again, considering they can t and won t honour the room we actually booked.

The novotel is a medium sized building (as far as hotels go) with restaurant and three or four smaller cafes, an upmarket dress shop, conference and function rooms and a nice lobby bar. It has a small pokies room with a bar into which I don't normally go. The rooms are good with a four star standard, although I have noted as of late that rennovations occurring in the building are reaching to a higher standard. There is a great morning buffet which now includes espresso cart with complentary coffee and a brillant little juice bar where you juice your own from baskets of fresh apple carrot celery ang ginger. There is also a night buffet with concurrent alacart menu but I am uncertain if the night buffet runs every night. I wonder whether the ownership has changed hands for this is the first we have seen of quite significant changes in the twenty years of intermittent visits. You can expect a good time with good service but need to bear in mind that the parking lot under the building is very close tolerance spaces and if you elect to park on the street you will need to expect that there is competition for spaces. The second thing is that when the restaurant fills up the noise can start to hinder conversation in suazeable groups of people. If the weather cooperates you can overcome this part by getting a table outside on the balcony. During the morning wear sunscreen and take your hat; in the the evening as long as the seabreeze is tolerable it can be brilliant time where you can listen to the waves on the beach across the street.

The rooms were very nicely decorated and the view was stunning. All staff we encountered genuinely seemed to enjoy working at the hotel. The food in the restaurant (seafood buffet & breakfast buffet) was very good.

Very nice looking restaurant with great views. Staff was very professional and friendly, but not a huge range of choices on the menu and food did take a while to arrive. Bar is very nice as well, great relaxed atmosphere
