Best people who are genuine and authentic with convenient location. I would say I have been a long term tester and frequent guest category after staying for business trips on a weekly basis for nearly 6 months. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Restaurant has lovely fresh dishes.

My room was extremely noisy - could hear heaps of sound in the lane ways This impacted my sleep greatly

Location is very convenient as it is in the city especially for people travelling for work. One of the downsides was that when i was trying to order food for in room dining, i called 3 times and no one picked up and got no calls back. I had to call the reception to place my order.

Had a fantastic time at Novotel on collins! Staff were brilliant, the room was clean and well appointed, and the food was some of the best motel food I've ever had! We loved our weekend in Melbourne. Thanks for making it such a relaxing time.

A great apartment with an awesome location in Melbourne city. The only problem was the amount of lighting that was in the hotel room. Apart from this slight problem, breakfast was good and there was also a gym and pool/spa.
Overall, the stay in this hotel was great.

We had a great stay, we knew we would when we were met by the fantastic concierge staff and the wonderful Suzie at check in.

As usual we feel welcomed and everything was pleasant.

We had a mix up with our booking accommodation in the area. I saw the Novotel from I distance and so glad we did. This Hotel was brilliant from the security guard to the cleaners. Thank you to the reception desk for being understanding to myself and my wife we we're so tired from travelling. Food in the dining room 10 out of 10 but the pale ale was far to expensive. Will recommend

Great location, great food and service, staff were always ready to assist and the rooms were to the standard I expect from Novotel. The disappointing thing was that we had a noise that I can only explain like an aeroplane when it hits the runway, like a screeching sound that was coming from under the floor in our room. The first night it screeched every 5 minutes between 1am and 2am, then randomly screeched every 30mins -hour each night after that. I don't know if it was the air conditioning or what but it was so loud it scared myself and my daughter awake all through the night each night and the disappointing thing is the staff at the front counter didn't action our complaint. We will stay again next year an hope by then the problem is fixed.

I felt like a highly valued customer at the Novotel. All the staff were highly attentive and I never felt like an imposition for wanting or needing anything.

I have been staying overnight, on a weekly basis for work. It's a no fuss stay - met all my requirements of clean, quiet room and amenities included.

The air con wasn t fixed for whole day, had to make million phone calls to get someone to help us. The staff just told us do not stay at the room, that is the service we get, considering we paid 500 dollars for two nights!

Our stay at The Novotel Collins Street was very pleasant and enjoyable. We liked the location very much. The staff everywhere were very nice and polite. We liked the breakfast very much. The pool and gym facilities were just what we needed. We all had a great night sleep.

My stay was pleasant and the staff were great. I got a room on the 11th floor so there was not too much outside noise and my room was near the lift which was exactly what I wanted as I have had to take the ridiculously long journey to the other side of the building from the lift before and would not like to do that again. The passages leading to my room were dirty as was the was the walls in the passage ways. My room itself was nice with plenty of space and was clean. My only quibble would be the big chips of plaster taken out of the walls in the room.
But overall the location far outlays my minor complaints and I will be back.

Location was fine, same as other hotels in area.
Air con was useless, it wasn't hot, but it just didn't do anything to the room, leaving that stuffy "wake up every hour" sort of temp. The room itself was dated too. I've stayed in 8 hotels in three weeks and by far this is most old school.
Best yet, four days later and the $100 cover charge hasn't been refunded, so my Monday will be spent arguing with someone about the that too.
If you get an interior room you'll overlook a food court, not great and really felt isolated from the outside, a box of you will.
Overall, just not a nice place to stay when there are nicer hotels within walking distance.

Novotel is a nice place to stay its right in the heart of Melbourne city center.
Easy walk to Flinders st station and all the shopping areas.
It has a nice restaurant with good quality food and wine. The wauter service is also nice.
Room service is good thought the prices were a bit expensive though the size if the big breakfast is big .

I've stayed here a lot. Good hotel, great city location. Rooms are big, free upgrades happen quite a bit if you check in fairly late.

A good hotel at a fantastic location. At times there may be a slight difficulty to dropping my car for valet parking due to the limited parking space on a very busy street. But in general, the valet parking people are attentive and available within a minute.

The room is big and nice. However, the room was a big dusty and the pillows and sheets were not comfortable.

The valet parking people were nice and friendly. But the reception people were cold and tired.

We had a lovely two night stay. We had dinner in the restaurant both evenings and it was a superb dining experience. The new menu was enjoyable and the chocolate brulee was absolutely the best I have ever eaten. The staff were so accommodating and helpful, we highly recommend the Novotel on Collins, we had a great stay with a comfortable bed, thank you.

I have stayed at the Novotel on several occasions over the last 4 years. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff are great. The location is awesome. I've never been disappointed.

Fantastic location. Some bathrooms are a little tired but it's still a great base to explore Melbourne from. Parking out the front for drop off can be difficult during busy times

It was nothing special but not a problem with anything either.

Excellent location allows easy access to a number of laneway eateries. The impressive atrium is stunning at night. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed.

We love all about the location but for an upmarket hotel in the city having to have a cold shower is not on. #novotel fail. Last stay here, the toilet was putrid... How hard can it be to get the bathroom right, in 2017?

very average hotel, the reception areas/lobby are lovely looking onto the shopping centre but the rooms are quite depressing. long corridors to get to the room made me feel like I was in a hostel ! nice staff but wont be back

Nice place to stay in the heart of the City. Close to everything. Obliging staff.

Our stay was simply outstanding. From the moment we arrived until we left. Our check in was seamless and our suite was ready at 11am. We were celebrating our anniversary and were pleasantly surprised by the extras, the personal card, wine and breakfast voucher. A lovely touch. Our suite was outstanding. We always stay at the Novotel when in Melbourne and every stay just gets better. Your staff are outstanding and deserve to be celebrated. Until next visit - THANK YOU

For Restaurant only - food and service was excellent. Large portions and everything cooked perfectly. Highly recommend. Only negative in my opinion is the uncomfortable chairs ... those standard round seat Cafe style chairs with the edge lip that digs into your leg. Solved by grabbing a cushion from another unused table. If no cushion available 4 stars.

Check in was easy, room was very clean and Hotel very convenient to tram stops. The price was great too.
Pillows were incredibly hard, however I ordered 2 from the pillow menu and had a great night sleep.
Breakfast was phenomenal and the three of us were thrilled. Staff were super efficient and it was a delight to see how accommodating they were (actually they were guns!!). Will stay again.

Very friendly staff. Courteous and helpful even to passers by in the rain, not just nice to people when they are a paying guest. Shows they are genuinely nice.

As uasual, the hotel was very good & in an excellent position for a Melbourne stay.
The restaurant was very ordinary, a very basic menu & nothing particularly interesting.
I felt the food we ordered was quite tasty although I had to ask for my meal to be heated.
The atmosphere was cold as there were not many eating there at 7 pm Saturday &
we chose not to eat there again.
This was a let down for the standard of the hotel unfortunately.

Wonderful location, above the mall fully renovated, rooms are perfect as well as the facilities. The people are absolutely wonderful. I always stay at Novotel on Collins.

We booked primarily for our child to use the pool. On arrival we were informed that the pool was under renovation, poor form by the hotel
