Very friendly staff on check in. Loved the all night room service (I get in late from Perth). Again, the room set up is perfect for the way I work and having the complementary interwebs service as part of the Accor membership is just icing on the cake. I choose to stay at this hotel when visiting Melbourne (admittedly my travel has been curtailed of late).
In reference to the question below "If you were not a Le Club Accorhotels member, would you have booked this hotel?" I would not have discovered this hotel if not for the Accor membership but I will do so regardless going forward.

The waitress is ALWAYS so friendly we don't know her name but she has pig tails and is always so welcoming and genuine. Couldn't ask for a better staff member looking after us in the restaurant!!
Not bad at all, pretty spacious, nice services... just that the sofa bed not that good and our room that time the pressure of the tap water in the sink bit small...
Great conference spaces. Very limited accessible toilets ...made harder ehrn people without disabilities use them. One level 3. One on level 7. For Disability conference.
As usual the staff are very helpful, a bit disappointed that the spa was not working and the clock radio in our room was also faulty. Breakfast was yummy!!
I attended an event in one of the small function rooms. The entrance to the hotel is quite small, but once you take the lift up, you enter a nice sitting area with a bar. The place looks well maintained.
Stayed for 2 nights on 3 different weeks. All good except that the TV remote is difficult to us. Which gets even more annoying when you are trying to change the channel from your bed at the other end of the room. It's time they allow customers to stream from their devices
Only one small issue. I asked for a 2pm checkout which was granted (Gold Accor privileges). However, house keeping knocked on my door, then rang my room phone before 12pm. Obviously there was no communication between front office and house keeping. Not big deal unless you worked till 6am like I had. Apart from that, awesome!
A venue that has grown into it's position in the city. Central, yet with proximity to the laneways and great eats the city boasts. Worth a few nights stay at least.
Great hotel! Service is great, the amenities are great, the look and feel of the hotel is beautiful, rooms are clean and the location is right in the middle of the city. Not too expensive either! Would definitely recommend.
Great hotel and good location right in the middle of the cbd. The staff are always very friendly and the rooms are modern and clean. The menu is also great regardless of whether your having room service or eating in the restaurant. Highly recommend this place!
This is always my go-to hotel whenever I stay in Melbourne. It is clean and tidy and the staff are always friendly and helpful. The breakfast choice is also very plentiful. It is located in a perfect spot which allows you to walk around the city easily.
Lights didn t work when I got to my room. No one answered my call to sort the problem. Had to go back to reception to get help. After all that the TV didn t work. Called reception and still waiting for help 15 mins later.
Hotel is located in the centre of Melbourne CBD, easy walking distance to many of Melbourne's attractions. Our room was lovely and comfortable with a very comfortable King size bed, view over the Atrium. Friendly service, smiling faces all round. Thank you very much to all Novotel Melbourne on Collins staff. I will be back.
Pleasantly surprised, most Novotels I've stayed in were motel grade, and Melbourne was pretty good. Couldn't get the WiFi going which was annoying, but everything else worked well, and check in and check out were particularly good - fast and efficient.
The staff were lovely although there were no lights in the room and it got very frustrating. I was lying in bed and I lifted up the blankets with my feet and saw the most disgusting thing ever. There were brown stain and looked like but hadn t been washed for years.
Conveniently located in the cbd! Can t be better than that! Surrounded by many many laneways and restaurants... the famous glass tube foyer makes this place special as well! While attending our day event here, we find their Nespresso coffee machine handy. Lunch was relatively healthy compared to some places. Satisfied and not overwhelmed
After great warm and welcomed service at reception the tv is to small for such a large room and the tv setup is from 1999; A no- name brand remote for a Panasonic tv that you can t see from The bed as it s not big enough.
We then awoke at 7am to consistent banging; I don t know what work is going on In the hotel but it would have been nice to be told. At check in we did receive w complimentary upgrade and change of rooms, however I don t feel this worked out better for us. Maybe things will change this morning. Matt
A very ordinary stay. Not made to feel very special as a loyal Gold Accor Plus member. Breakfast area was a bit of a zoo but the food was ok. Having good coffee, fresh juice and nice sour dough bread is a big improvement. The bar was well serviced and enjoyable. The rooms need upgrading.
Thank you to Novotel on Collins for a lovely stay. Check in and out was easy, our King room was large, our paper was delivered daily, free bottled water on arrival. Everything met our expectations. A big thank you to the breakfast staff. Your service in clearing tables and seating customers in a timely manner is very commendable. That is something that does not happen in all hotels. See you next time.
I had a great experience recently where all staff were very friendly and helpful in all interactions. The room was clean and tidy and refreshed everyday to my standards. The gym was small, but adequate. Tough with the space you have but as it wasn't busy i was able to make do with equipment available. Pool and Spa were definitely utilized during my stay, and clean and relaxing.
The room was and staff were lovely, my one disappointment was that a welcome letter and drinks voucher arrived in the evening, far too late for us to use the vouchers and considering we checked in at lunchtime I thought it was very unprofessional. I have been an Accor member for quite a few years and never had this happen before.
Our stay at the Novotel Melbourne on Collins was outstanding. The location was great and afforded easy access to the exciting city of Melbourne. The staff was courteous and helpful, and the dining area was outstanding.
Horrible. The front counter staff member (lady on the priority desk) was incredibly rude when I asked if I could check in early. She not only insinuated that I couldn't possibly be a Gold Member (I have recently just hit platinum with Accor) but also that checking in early wasn't part of the Gold Member priorities. Knowing full well that it in fact was, and that most other Accor Hotels I visit allow early check in, she did nothing to help. Asking why Novotel on Collins was any different to anywhere else, she stated "we are busier than most other hotels". She sprouted more nonsense than I hear from children! When my room was ready (close to midday), I did not receive my welcome pack, nor my complimentary bottle of water (minor, but it's the little things that make a stay that little bit better, especially when it's your 5th hotel in 6 days). This is the 3rd time in a row at this very hotel. When arriving back at the hotel after work commitments (close to 11pm) when the bar was closed, I notice my welcome pack and bottle of water were delivered to my room. Both completely useless as the bar was closed and I was checking out prior to the cafe opening in the morning, and I had also purchased a bottle of water. The room wasn't clean, there was black long hair on the bed. Shower was still wet and the entire room had an odor I can only describe as stinky feet. The one positive, the Valet Parking was exceptional. They are very well organised and had the car down swiftly when I required it. Very polite and have great conversational skills. If I could rate them only, it would be a 9 out of 10...but the experience at the Hotel would be a zero or minus marks due to the staff and room. Also, I attended the gym, good facilities but there were kids jumping out of the pool and straight onto machinery that I wanted to use, but didn't due to it being soaking wet. Really frustrating!
Our room had no outside window or airflow other than an airconditioner making it feel stuffy. If you like to see outside then you would need to ask specifically for a room that overlooks the street. Also we had an unwanted surprise family member turn up to our private family getaway who had obviously inquired & been put on the same floor as us without staff alerting us! They knew which rooms we were in. We were horrified & this almost ruined our once in a lifetime special family celebration which was gatecrashed by this person.
A lovely hotel centrally located and adjacent to an excellent food court. Nice fitness area, pool and hot tub. Absolutely the best breakfast buffet I have ever had.
