This place is great! Modern, clean rooms. Buffet breakfast is a must-do. Really helpful staff. Location is awesome, right in the centre of Melbourne. Right above a mall, great if you want to go shopping. The green tube art installation is really cool. There's an indoor pool and gym, but it's far from the lifts. My only complaint is that you can hear everything next door, especially if they have screaming kids. Rooms have a view of either the mall below, or the street (often obstructed by signs, roofs etc.). Otherwise I would absolutely stay here again!

The front door is small. The reception is on the 3rd floor. The sign is pretty big though..

Room is OK and located at city area. However room service is not OK. Toiletries was not change while i was using half of it, only change after i request to counter. There was some dust at room corner area.

It's great Hotel but there are not so flexible the itinerary changes. I would rate it 5 stars if they were flexible enough to accommodate last minute changes in my itinerary. The staff is polite and humble also the food and drinks are of great quality! The location of the hotel is awesome everything is within walking distance.

Views were wonderful.

After checking in to my flight in Canberra at 5am I arrived at the Novotel at 7.55 already feeling tired. I was hoping to just drop my bag off and go and grab some coffee. I was so happy when the concierge told me my room was ready if I wanted to check in straight away. It was so nice to be able to go straight to my room. All the team were extremely helpful and made my stay so lovely. It was so nice to always be greated with a smile. My room was very comfortable and spacious. The location is central to everything I neede and I was easily able to make my way around the city on connecting trams. This was my first trip away from my family and I hope to be back with my family in the future. The only small thing I would change is the addition of a shelf in the shower to put the shampoo and products on.

Dropped in for drink at the bar. Reasonably quiet at 4 pm, service was friendly and prompt. Not what would be regarded as trendy but everything one would expect at a Novotel, a bit of class.

Great rooms, friendly staff & awesome central location with everything you could ever want just outside.

We enjoyed our stay however the bed was not comfortable, the TV remote needs looking at as it was very hard to get the TV to work. The room is looking tired and in need of repairs, the shower is showing signs around the joins with mould forming.

Great hotel to stay when visiting Melbourne. Rooms are very clean and staff is very helpful. We asked staff for a good Indian restaurant and they sent us to gourmet Curry hut 3 minute walking distance and the food was amazing. We also asked the staff where the best shopping was for designer brands and they send us to chadston which was far but totally worth it. Will highly recommend this hotel and especially the service of the staff.

Great central place ! Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms are nice and decent size too. Breakfast was fantastic , buffet style with loads of choices. Bar is relaxing with very friendly staff.

Great staff best place to get around all of Melbourne

Cassandra offended us during our stay.
She is a manageress of some sort but is not customer-centric. We will not be staying at this hotel again. Better value and respect from other hotel clubs these days. Accor is already under big threat and people like Cassandra will ensure its demise.

Loxation is oerfect. Customer service is appauling.. Novotel Central in Melbourne service was amazing. Should train the staff at Novotel on Collins. Definitely not 4star

The team here are always super helpful and welcoming. I usually just stay 1-2 nights for work, so I don't have much of a chance to use the bar or restaurant but I have always been happy with the room service food and the gym is pretty good for a hotel gym. Only issue with it is that the exercise bikes don't seem to be plugged in at all.

Nice hotel room. Clean.
-Room service overpriced, and no breakfast room service is disappointing.
-Hard mattress and firm pillows.
-Novotel tried to charge $9 for a phone call to their own concierge/vallet number on top of the $45 for vallet parking.

Once more the Novotel on Collins didn't disappoint with it's standard of service and close proximity to the event. Valet parking was particularly worth it and helpful.

We were central to some of Melbourne's finest locations, particularly the arcades and lane ways which Melbourne are famous for. Service was excellent, staff very professional and yet very friendly. The overall experience was very pleasant and left you with a feeling of looking forward to returning.

Have stayed twice for business. Comfortable, spacious rooms & great service! Defiantly recommend upgrading if you can. The gym has room for improvement though!

The staff were very helpful and courteous. I received a phone call a couple of days before our booking to make sure everything was ok. We were generally very happy with the service we received all round.

Room and location was great and staff were very helpful with any thing you needed, nothing was a problem for them. The location was handy to transport, restaurants and sport and tourist venues.

Staff were pretty helpful and engaging. Great hotel and dining facilities. Highly recommended!

When the Novotel Collins Street rang to confirm my booking a few days prior to me checking in, I requested a shower chair for my son, which was in the bathroom as requested. I also advised that I required the sofa bed for my son and that was made up ready for him. On arrival I asked if I could have a check out at 6.00pm which was approved which meant we could be in our room up until the time we left. The concierge were very helpful in directing me to places that I wasn't sure how to get to and also booked a taxi for when we needed to leave which was waiting for us when we were required to leave. Overall it was a very pleasant and enjoyable stay made possible by all your staff.

Excellent rooms and incredibly well located near Flinders Station and the CBD. All staff were incredibly hospitable and willing to assist guest inquiries.
The menu at the onsite bar is arguably a little over priced considering the need to be competitive.

Attended a two day conference at Novotel. Warm welcomed experience. 5 stars customer services. No power socket at the conference room which make computer charging a bit difficult.

It was great! Brought the wife and 2 kids and they loved the pool and buffet breakfast. Was a great place to stay with the family

Having stayed several times over the last few years this time we felt that the hotel was a little tired in need of a refurb. Rooms very dark with insufficient lighting. Altho we love the location and this is the reason we return, it Was discussed that for the rate we would possibly look around for our next visit.

The staff were lovely and it's a great hotel. Facilities were excellent but my room wasn't really completely clean. The bedside was a little dusty and there was mould in the shower. Not quite the standard I expected.

As a wheelchair user I was impressed that everything in the hotel was highly accessible, including lifts, swipe cards, bathroom, huge room, lights etc etc. A lot of hotels have accessible rooms but all other aspects of the hotel are totally inaccessible - great work Novotel.

I should mention very friendly and professional stuff and great restaurant.

Really nice place to stay and it's in the heard of the Melbourne CBD. The hotel has all the amenities and would love to visit again.

Google keeps saying I was here but I wasn't. Whatever.

Firstly I definitely expected much more from the Novotel being a 4 star hotel. The interior was very old fashioned, the rooms were very basic and not much included in the rooms e.g. free wifi/water and just other little things like tooth brushes and bath robes. After i had checked out of my one night stay I had realised i left my phone charger in my room and rang up immediately and asked if they could put aside for me to pick up later on in the week. I got a call back from them saying they did not find it. Even though this wasn't a big loss for me it was just extremely disappointing to think that a 4 star hotel would loose or steal property that is not theirs. Will not come back.

AV Equipment was poor and had digital signal issues.
The room and facilities were dated

Check-in was great with one of your very nice and capable staff members.
I really like the lobby / bar area. It is a great space for meetings. There is a really good vibe on Friday afternoons.
The rooms were fine, just what I needed.

I was very satisfied with my stay at the Novotel Collins Street, Melbourne. My room was beautifully styled and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and the choice was great. I will definitely come back again. I have also stayed at the Novotel in Darling Harbour, Sydney and it doesn't even come close to Collins Street. In fact, I was reluctant to stay at another Novotel because of my experience in Sydney but am so pleased that I did. Thank you and well done.

Staff where excellent in outgoing giving us top quality treatment during our stay. Not to mention the food from the Novotel was out of this world I would highly recommend staying here.

Good location. Rooms clean and staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ok (but nothing for me to rave about). The "master switch" isn't well labelled and that's turned off, the air con doesn't work and your phone doesn't get charged. More of an issue if you get in late and don't experiment. I'll call it a silly design. Overall, would go back again though.

Good venue for a work seminar. Morning and afternoon tea provided by the hotel was great but lunch choices were a bit limited. Staff were very friendly, attentive and helpful.

Starvation rations - not enough food, particularly at breakfast where only processed snacks are provided. Constantly hungry. Only option is to order from room service, which only opens at 11AM, and is fully priced.

Not really good regarding the checking in,room, housekeeping, TV reception and stations available. My first name was wrong in your system causing confusion and stress.
I requested a high level room with city views as per my booking paper work, I got the high level room over looking the shopping mall. While requests are not guaranteed I have always got them before in your hotel.

The TV picture reception on the footy channel was breaking up, I requested it be fixed on two mornings without any improvement. On the third morning they offered us a room change, as we were there for four nights what would be the point?.Then we noticed that the reception in the lounge dining area was just as bad, how could the staff not be aware of this.
We had to request a linen change as there was not the usual card re linen in the room also no botteled water until our last day

Service on checking in was ordinary. I booked via 3rd party website and therefore membership status points etc dont exist or not recognised. Althou I did receive 2 free bottles of water which is greatly appreciated. The layout is abit like david bowies labrynth. Location is convenient and plenty of good food, drink n entertainment closeby.

Your reception staff were very helpful as we arrived at 8am .We were given access to our room right away . The room was better than expected and location was wonderful .If we return to Melbourne we will definitely book again.

Great place to stay. I stayed for a week for work. Used their Gym & Pool everyday after work to wind down and had breakfast there every morning. Used their laundry service for my suits. The staff are very helpful & professional.

Lovely welcome downstairs by the young man. Check in was smooth. The room was lovely, room service was prompt, comfy bed and pillows!
We really wanted eggs for breakfast and enquired if they were free range, we were told that they were not. This was terribly disappointing. For ANY business to serve cage eggs in this day and age is unacceptable. However, after strolling the streets around the hotel for breakfast, we found that this situation is happening everywhere. I remain quite shocked, having worked in hospitality all over the country, it was unbelievable.
Novotel, I would suggest you look into the free range suppliers in your area, and use them!
It could be massive draw card and show that the company really cares where its food is coming from... as there was no other cafe in the area that used them either!
Something perhaps to think about.
Other than that. Our stay was satisfactory.

Novotel Melbourne on Collins had provided a very high standard of hospitality for our stay. We were greeted by the Concierge, offering Valet Parking. The reception staff were helpful, and the lobby was of a satisfactory size. The room was thoroughly clean, and had boasted a good sense of luxury and style with the good facilities available in the room, including a master switch next to the bed, two HD TVs, a marble bathroom, and more. Catering was excellent and flawless, even offering for breakfast Honeycomb and Lychee, along with an extensive range of hot and cold foods.
I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Bad Wi-Fi. Noisy beer fridge. Master switch turns off power outlets. Pretty average.

Hotel comfortable and well located. Unfortunately the reception staff quite unhelpful and a bit rude.

Non-existent service. The service you get here is like a a cheap backpackers. Do yourself a big big favour and go elsewhere. One Star is way too much.

Great service, tidy but could have been cleaned better. Also mini bar wasn't restocked.

The room was rather small, the lift looked dirty. No slipper in room and had to ask for it. No bottle drinking water provided. Breakfast spread was not so good. I have stayed in other Novotel and did not encounter above issue.
On the other hand, staffs service standard and attitude was good and helpful.

It was good. I was a bit annoyed to get a message that my check in was not completed properly and I had to go back on Friday to redo it. Not impressed.
