Novotel Amsterdam Review

Very good hotel. Not too expensive, considering the price of hotels in the center of Amsterdam. 15 minutes by subway to central Amsterdam.

Nice place near to Amsterdam RAI station. Friendly staff and good price!!

A hotel that deserves to fit in. Everything at superlative.

Also easy to get to the city center by bus or tram. Get a good deal and book it! Yes, breakfast is overrated!

The room is very cozy despite its small size. I like the Bluetooth speaker in room very much haha. The location is actually not bad, a walkable distance from city center.

Perfect hotel. Outside the center, in the RAI area.
Being a little out of the way, you don't have the chaos of the city but it is extremely well served by public transport.
Metro stop within walking distance but I recommend the tram 4 200 meters (left) from the hotel entrance. (Buy the day ticket to be able to use the means whenever you want and always remember the chekout when you get off).
Excellent and very abundant breakfasts.

Breakfast is delicious, but a little pricey! No iron or ironing board in the room, but one was provided upon request. Amstel park across the road is lovely and a nice contrast to the fast paced city.

The hotel and the rooms are super clean. The hotel staff is very nice and friendly. Tram (line 4) is only a 3 minute walk away.
Excellent performance-price ratio. The room is equipped with heating, air conditioning, high speed internet, safe, minibar, coffee machine, kettle, iron and ironing board, large cable TV and hairdryer.
Our stay was very pleasant, so with great pleasure again. I can only recommend this hotel.

Very mediocre, breakfast very good, dinner very limited and rooms meet the minimum, toilets public areas very poor.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Hotel a little out of the way but very convenient with train to and from shipol airport - only two stops - and by tram to and from the center.

Not a bad hotel. Fairly standard, but far too overpriced for what you get. Good transport links, about 4 minutes walk to the train station, and a 10-15 minute train ride to the city centre.

Not very happy with the room and location of the resort

Room is a bit smaller than what we expected for a triple room what we booked.
Staff are wonderful, especially the ones in restaurant.
Breakfast is huge, lots of options for us to choose from.
We were satisfied in general.

Expensive. No breakfast included and the shower was not clean.

The hotel is nice, feel really modem, convenient as it is close to city train, and had wonderful service, but the amenities are a little lacking as it was missing lotion and enough towels for 2, additionally both towels and bedding had a slight vinegar smell.

My experience was very good and all the staff except one were very friendly and helpful. One person responded abruptly when asked a question. Other than that everything was great. Great food and wide selection of choices for breakfast.

Booking due to trust in the brand. Unfortunately, unfortunately. The breakfasts are very decent, the gift shop is also very good, but the quality of the room was far from expected. Unfortunately, similarly with the quality of service. Everything seems to be just fine, but 'something' is missing. On the plus side - good access, good parking and communication with the center.

Clean and comfortable. Shop is expensive though. Far out from the city centre - 30 taxi ride. Close to the conference centre.

The Novotel Novotel Amsterdam is nice but there is a gap between the common areas completely renovated with taste and the small and dilapidated rooms, sold for a 4 stars, what the rooms do not reflect is a pity, moreover it is located a bit far from the hyper center even though very well served by the tram.

Nice hotel, clean rooms, nice staff. Beds were very comfortable and even an iron was in the room nice quiet location and varied breakfast. Any time! :)

The hotel is large and modern, the rooms spacious, clean and comfortable. Staff are professional and caring. The gym a little poorly equipped but helps out and the bar is relatively expensive.
Good breakfast.

Nice basic quite hotel. Close to RAI and train station. Room was basic but clean and nice. There was no noise coming from the outside good isolation. The restaurant and bar downstairs is lively and nice. WiFi works well available everywhere inside the hotel and is fast. There is always a taxi available outside.

There is no iron in the room which is a big problem for a business stay. There should be USB charging ports close to bed for smartphones etc. .

Lovely hotel. Comfortable room. Friendly and helpful staff. Great location. If I had to give one criticism, it would only be that we found the options in the hotel restaurant limited and expensive but all in all, I throughly enjoyed my stay and will definitely be returning again.

The extra bed did not have clean sheets, a mini-fridge ... A big hotel ... like any business.

It's been pretty comfortable, beds are amazing, service is very friendly. There's always a taxi outside. Would definitely recommend to other travelers.

Located at the outskirts of Amsterdam but easilie accessible with tram number 4, metro and train to RAI.

Breakfast was large and very nice, they even have a chef that cooks your eggs on the spot!

A small shop in the lobby offers crisps, wine and soda/water at acceptable prices.

Rooms where large and felt very modern. Check in and checkout was smoothly handled. Luggage room available if needed.

Nice hotel with clean nice rooms that have it all. The area is centrally located for trains and restaurants.
There are good views and fast free wifi.

Cheat, cheap and bad services:
- adding item in our room service bill that we didn t order nor received.
- breakfast is limited in a tray of 3 stale bread, boiled egg, 2 slices of ham&cheese, a watered down juice... very cheap... and embarrasingly they tried to sell fried eggs for 5eur.... wow, this is a 4 stars hotel?!
- impolite bartender, when we complain to the hotel channel, no feedback from them... i guess they don t care to improve the service.

Safe choice for business trips. Stayed there during the Money20/20 2018 and its really close to the venue.

Room is big, 4 elevators, lots of room, 24hrs mini cafe and snack, restaurants, etc

The buffer morning breakfast is one of the best of the best.

Really good hotel! Nice rooms! Lot of choice for breakfasts. Even fresh juiced oranges. Only downside was the Elevator.. It looked like only one of them was working. (long queue!) Take the stairs of you can

A friend and I came to spend a couple of days in Amsterdam, we stayed for the second time at the Novotel Central and it was once again a very pleasant experience.

The best hotel in Amsterdam, staff very friendly and into standards but absolutely no "fake" relationship with guest, very kind and very authentic attention, taking care of my needs and feelings, Excellent WiFi connection, and excellent food, Simply I love it.

Spacius and clean room close to metro station and tram,

I thought I was away from the center for a while, but I didn't care about access to the subway or tram.
The facilities are clean and clean. Breakfast is delicious!

Elevators are crowded; Especially in the morning it needs 5-7 mins waiting time. Had this experience both the days of my stay.

Beatiful hotel which is provide you all the Novotel standards. Spacious rooms. Breakfast offer is really good and delicious. Even the chef is making a'la minute foods for you on request. Staff is really kind, checkin and checkout is relly quick. Bathroom is big and comfortable beds are also comfortable

Food was good. But reception was not so good. Convention center they have is quite nice with convertible spaces. But wash rooms don't have bidet.

It is a pity that you are addressed in English in your own country. Dutch should be the main language and of course English, Spanish or whatever second language.
Lack of staff availability or being international at Novotel is absolutely no excuse for making the working language English.

Great clean hotel with easy staff and check in, shame it's quite a distance from the city centre but Tram 4 will take you straight there.

I can not explain what I'm filling in this moment, Its illegal, I booked one room in this hotel and for canccel they took more then 500 , for what ?? I have a very bad feedback for this hotel....
If you can not go you have to pay.....
How is possible like that ???

Convenient hotel within walking distance of the city center

Quality of the service, overall experience are very low.
We are exhibiting in PLMA for years and we normally choose Novotel.
However, this year we were very disappointed of:
- cleaning service and ironing - not good at all
- food and restaurant service - not good at all for the price offered
- invoicing - very disappointed. It was impossible to receive the invoice during the night and we were asked to come for it in the morning. So we did, but the system was down and we were promised that we will receive 1 invoice for all 5 rooms. But did not happen. So now I need to spend few more days in communication in order to have what I was promised.
Total service and experience is absolute loss of time.

Good hotel. Nice rooms .. staff needs some attention.

Upon receipt asked if I had received the room upgrade, employee whose name I did not know had looked at and said yes you have received an upgrade. Then in the room I found out that it was just the room I had booked. A pity. So immediately called to ask for clarification. The answer was idd that there was no upgrade anyway. So unfortunately no benefits from the platinum card. Then I found out that another person, a silver member and no fast check in, had received an upgrade. I thought that was very strange, so I asked for clarification. Fortunately I was helped well this time by another employee Kevin A. He really acted far beyond my expectation to compensate for my bad feeling. Compliments!

The staff were incredible, given that they had a large number of people coming in at once due to cancelled flights because of weather. They accommodated us quickly, made sure we were fed and even under extremely busy conditions kept a polite attitude throughout the duration.

I received an uncleaned room. A slept bed, full trash cans and dirty towels. After having reported this to the reception, I was given another room that did work. It is a massive hotel. For a night fine, but I'm not concerned about a longer stay.

I had only one problem with the refrigerator in my room which, during my stay, contaminated the room with odors that made staying in the room impossible. The problem was solved very efficiently by the team and did not cause any major problems.

Comfortable mattresses is all u need after a party day in Amsterdam and thats exactly what u get here...
