Superb stay!

Superb stay!
Friendly and helpful staff, easy check-in and check-out, very clean, comfy bed, good shower, blackout curtains, TV with good selection of channels, snack shop, very wide and varied selection at breakfast, excellent complimentary coffee in room, mini bar with chilled drinks and to top if all off a great location with a very short walk to train station with direct connection to airport.
All in all I'm not sure there is anything else I would require as a hotel guest? If I had to be picky perhaps some extra blankets in the room or a duvet instead of blankets (maybe this is an English thing?) would have been nice and I could hear other residents from my room occasionally but this was rare and I suppose can't be helped.

A long write up here, but worth it to describe a really excellent hotel!!

Was only there briefly as I was in Amsterdam on for a one day event. Checking in an hour early wasn't an issue as they just had some rooms cleaned. Everyone was nice and helpful while still being professional. I would go there again.

Very good hotel, clean, well-equipped, rich breakfast.
The staff are happy to help you with any question you make.
I would say that the only thing I found was that the internet wants improvement.

Nice staffs and nice decor, with an essential snacks bar as this place is quite far away from other restaurants. 3-persons room is a bit too small for family, especially there is not much room to put luggages and you can barely walk through. All in all this hotel is conference-based so I don't expect much on resort standards. Really good place, will stay again when in Amsterdam.

However I got an email about the confirmation that it is a room booked for me for 3 nights, at the arrival they couldn't found my reservation. After showing the confirmation email, they gave me a room, at the 2nd Floor, however all of my friends got their room at 6th. floor.
On the second they as I tried to enter my room it was locked, and the "not so friendly - arrogant" lady at the reception said to me that my reservation was for 1 night. I showed again my email about the 3 nights reservation, and after 30 minutes at least I could enter my room again.
At the reception we always waited 5-10 min or more to get in contact with the stuff.

Located not far from the center, convenient with transport but reachable in 30 minutes on foot.
The hotel is very large and clean.
Spacious rooms with nespresso machine in the room.
Small ready-to-wear food outlet near the reception.
There is a large shopping center about 500m behind the hotel.

Decent hotel. Was here for business, I stayed in a recently renovated executive room which was OK. The sheets and pillows were not of good quality, they felt quite cheap and rough. I didn t understand why there was a massive radiator by the window which at night would be covered by thick curtains therefore no heat would enter the room, and a separate air conditioning unit inside the room. I was quite cold for most of the nights.

The hotel was undergoing some construction during my stay and all the hallways looked like construction sites, a disclaimer would have been nice before booking.

The food at the restaurant was hit and miss, good on some days and not so good on others. Understaffed restaurant left me waiting 20 minutes just to pay the bill.

My one issue was with housekeeping, on two occasions I had left my hotel room at 8am and returned at 6pm only to find the room was still unmade, when confronting the staff about this I was told we have 15 floors, it takes time. This was not the level of service I was expecting for the price paid of an executive room .

Damien at the front desk was great and really helped resolve most of the issues I had. Overall I would say this is a good hotel to stay at if you are visiting for a short period of time on business. Average price for average service.

Visited solely for the purposes of meeting my parents who were new to the city and staying for a weekend. Had a reasonable cup of coffee. Efficient staff trained to the usual standards of the hotel group.

Great hotel. Modern, metropolitan. Great communication. When I asked about the possibility of staying overnight with two children, we got an additional room with direct access - free of charge. That's really great!
Reception was personal and informative. Everything, of course, with an explanation of the current corona security concept of the hotel and also of the city.
Room with a great view on the 12th floor. Generous space, especially since we had two adjoining rooms. Modern bathrooms, as you know it from Novotel. Big TV's.
We had booked breakfast (as always on the Accor website). Huge hall with unlimited choice of seats. No waiting. A basic tray was put together on request. Drinks brought to the table. Surcharge would only be charged for extra warm requests, such as omelets, scrambled eggs ...
Parking lot in front of the hotel with barrier for 29.50 per day. In front of the entrance there is plenty of public, unsecured parking spaces for 15 per day (Mon-Fri), on Saturdays and Sundays you can park for free.
The location is a bit on the edge of the city center, but if you follow the motto "The path is the goal", you can walk into the city center via the busy shopping streets and Beatrix Park. We even managed it with our 4-year-old daughter on several days without any problems.
We can only recommend this hotel and have only had the best experiences. We would stay here again on our next visit to beautiful Amsterdam.

Hotel Novotel is a brilliant hotel with decently sized rooms and comfy big beds. Well decorated minimalist rooms sport a hefty amount of plugs to keep all your gadgets ready to go and also provides a large TV to watch while you relax after your long days out. The shower is superb and the price is even better, I will definitely stay here in the future.

The location is not central but, between 15 and 20 min, you will be in the sights of the city by tram, train, bus and metro.
The restaurant was our worst experience.
We went to dinner. We waited 40 min to be seated. While we waited, we ordered a drink and she didn't come. We sat down and the waiter only appeared after we complained that we were sitting for 20 minutes without being served. The entry came wrong. It was a salad and mushrooms. The salad came wrong.
When the main dishes arrived, 30 minutes later, the kebabs were small. The salad came after the main courses and we declined.
The drink came only 30 minutes after we were seated.
Finally, in order not to wait any longer, we went to the cashier to pay. The oriental lady who attended us, apologized and said to go back. Obviously I didn't come back. Poor service.
In the bedroom, amenities were changed to droppers when they were placed. We stayed at the hotel for 1 week.

The hotel view was okay. But the fact that they wanted to jerk us at the front desk and in the end I joked, I didn't think so.

We booked 2 nights including breakfast online. When we arrived it was said we had to pay more, which we could confirm with the online confirmation that it was not the case. When we checked out, they charged us with a sum of certain euros for breakfast. All inclusive was expressly mentioned.

Well, in the end you got the amount you wanted.

Not a large sum, but it's about the principle.

I traveled to Amsterdam for a wedding and found 143.10 per night to be a decent price for a 4-star hotel outside of the city. When I got to my room (1317) I was expecting old, worn-out furniture, a very dirty bathroom with stains on the fittings, hair in the bathtub and the floor and an uncleaned toilet. My minibar was empty except for a bottle of water. The prices for meals from the room service were outrageously high! The breakfast was ridiculously not even included, 22 for a normal buffet at best, also relatively weak.

Your house was a stopgap solution for me. I advise anyone I know against booking with you.
