Excellent welcome and availability of the staf. Clean, comfortable and very welcoming room. Hotel near the center and the museum area: with 24 you can easily move to the center. Great experience.

Very clean, close to a train station. The hotel staff was very helpful with telling us about where to go/what to see. The little shop they have was very well appointed and very reasonably priced, I've never bought anything at a hotel shop because it's always absurdly overpriced but here I actually bought things several times. I would stay here again for sure.
Well located hotel in the Canals region. We traveled with family, and the possibility of 2 rooms, helps a lot. Clean, comfortable beds and friendly and approachable staff. It has as inconvenience the fact of not having elevators, and the presence of many stairs. Trouble with the suitcases.
Great location. Cozy rooms. Fantastic bar. And very friendly staff.
Will stay there next time.
Really nice hotel, friendly staff. Only drawback was the parking price.
Very nice experience, good location, friendly and helpful staff
Arrived and had checked in online. Everything was ready for us and received a warm greeting.
The hotel is in a fantastic, quiet location and would recommend it strongly. We were allocated room 324 and for the price paid (e220 pn) considered it to be tired and in need of upgrading.
Very welcome in this hotel very well located to discover Amsterdam on foot. Very good breakfast.
Situated in a lovely part of town, it was a delight to walk out and return to the hotel. We walked everywhere. Reception was very helpful and efficient. Whilst there were plenty of bars and restaurants locally the hotel bar provided a relaxed atmosphere with snacks for the evening that we didn't want to go out for a meal. Everywhere was clean and bright. We would stay there again without question.
Great location nice people. Pop for the better rooms if you need a little more space.I would go back for sure on another visit to Amsterdam. If you want noise and heavy traffic stay near the train station, for a quiet but central neighborhood, go here. However do not take the last room before my next visit ,I want it . Also only a few block wal to many places to eat and good ice cream.
Quiet boutique hotel in amazing location. Bang in the Canal District of Amsterdam near all the main attractions and lots of transport links to anywhere you want to go. Breakfast is a bit pricey but that's just Amsterdam I guess.
This is a great little hotel but not 4 stars in my opinion.. staff were friendly but felt breakfast was slightly overpriced and in a good location with eating places and a supermarket to hand.
Very good. Nice area. Close to everything by walking. No need for any transportation if you can walk...but a bike would be fun.
Loved the place. Close to everything and great staff
Quiet hotel in a quiet area near the city. Two separate buildings with rooms. Good quality rooms and great staff. Slept very well!
Hotel well located 25 minutes walk from the train station without difficulties and close to the center. The flower market should be 15 minutes. Canal district quite calm. This is the standard of the Mercure range. The reception is good is friendly. The rooms are rather small but it makes sense for a central hotel. The breakfast is well stocked and offers freshly squeezed fruit juice. I would stay there again.
Cozy hotel in a quiet location in the Canal district of Amsterdam. Rooms are small but well equipped and very clean.
Stylish ambience. Staff efficient but very reserved. Within walking distance, the city center is reachable.
We spent 3 nights at this hotel. Well located, near the subway, however during our stay we did everything to walk around the area. Comfortable and clean rooms. The coffee was not included, we found it expensive and preferred to go to the various coffee options near the hotel.
Tastefully done rooms, great breakfast, helpful staff, conveniently located
Parking on site c 50th hotel and very clean welcome super well placed good salad in the 50th parking area attention la.bannane
Very nice, quaint, and quiet hotel in Amsterdam. Close to all the major attractions, yet tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. Excellent staff and service. Only minor complaint is how expensive parking is.
The hotel is hidden away in a nice, clean, and quiet side street, yet it is relatively close to a few classic tourist sites. The lobby looks pretty modern and contemporary. The reception desk is a high table with some slick wooden bar stools. The receptionist works off of a docked laptop; an Interesting concept. Check-in is at 2:00pm, which seems pretty standard. The hotel room is nicely modernized, except for the carpet. I personally prefer hard floors, as they are easier to clean.. Bathrooms also look very modern; however, there is no shower curtain, and no moisture vent. The switch to turn on the shower water wasn't exactly intuitive. As a matter of fact, the light switch for the bathroom is not in the bathroom; it's mixed with the rest of the light switches for turning on lights. Beds have enough firmness for me. Overall, a good hotel to stay at.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Mercure Hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
Breakfasts were excellent. The Hotel is central to all attractions and everywhere was accessible by either walking or taking the tram. We had no complaints whatsoever and would happily stay there again.
Hotel well located. Quiet area and close to the center. The decoration is nice. The size of the room is ok, it's clean and the bed is comfortable. The breakfast is very good, lots of choices including for people with food intolerances.
Nice hotel but card only facilities spoil a good hotel ...bet it looses out on add ons etc !
excellent place, the chain never disappoints, breakfast may improve, but it is very good. The location is incredible
Great location to tour the Canal District. Quiet neighborhood with good restaurants nearby.
Nice place to be in the heart of Amsterdam. However, room are small, I had a big luggage and I didn't have so much place to put it. I was happy to be alone. It is also close to a lot of nice things to do. Will not repeat but was happy to be there one time.
Small rooms, which are also quite worn, the high price was not appropriate. The staff was friendly and the location was ok. 3 minutes away is a station for the tram.
A clean and sympathetic hotel within walking distance of the center / Sympathic and clean hotel, walking distance to the center.
The hotel is located near the canals and the next tram stop is within walking distance, after a few stops you are in the center. The hotel is nice and quiet, the rooms are clean and the staff is very friendly and happy to help with any questions or requests.
Very good hotel located in the center of Amsterdam. Clean and cozy. Good location, the subway is next to the hotel. Quiet neighborhood
Loved this hotel! Convenient to everything. Staff is very helpful.
For one night the stay was ok. Rooms are very small but nicely decorated. What is not great is the ring hearing and the automatic door closers (as a door is constantly banging). Staff otherwise very friendly. The hotel is located in a residential area and next to a school. Price / performance is not quite correct and the number of stars (4) not.
Small room , old fashioned, I am not recommend it to any one . The good thing only the staffing
Very friendly staff, good location. Easy walk to all the major sites and there are plenty of things to do within a 15min walk.
Very good location. On the other hand cleanliness room to review.
All a little outdated for a 4 *.
Conclusion: too expensive compared to benefits.
Great location. Good bed. Could use a lick of paint.
1st stay in this charming hotel, in the heart of Amsterdam. Despite the constraint of an old building very well renovated and room size, a very good stay. The reception at the reception was perfect and the Wednesday wine tasting by the Director was very appreciated.
Great location in a cute neighborhood. Closer to Heineken brewery if that is you thing. Also close to Albert Cuyp Market which is worth a visit as well. Small parking lot if you are bringing a car.
Room decor is nice and chic, however bathroom is quite small and its quite a long walk from the Metro. There is no weighing device in the hotel which can be quite inconvenient.
Great hotel. Convenient to the center. Modern and comfortable rooms
We were 3 girlfriends and spent one night at the Mercure in Amsterdam, Noorderstraat. Hotel well located, staff very friendly and helpful, attentive, parking a bit expensive but like everywhere in Amsterdam. Very good bedding, very clean, very good breakfast. You can open the window in the room, which for me is a real plus to air and cool the air.
If I have to say something negative, it is about the soundproofing of the hotel compared to the road, you hear everything since it is only a simple glazing. Fortunately, the street is not very busy, but we were awoken 3-4 times by cars or people chatting in the street like in the middle of the day.
On the other hand, I think it's a classified facade, so I guess they may not be able to replace the glazing.
2nd small negative point: a little expensive
But in all, very good stay, I will come back during a possible stay in Amsterdam
The place is just so Nice, i don't mind staying there again when i go back to Amsterdam, thr place is at a good spot were one is able to walk to 5 or more tourist sites... Truly enjoyed my stay at Mercure Hotel, great hospitality by management & staff, clean environment, everything is just the best
Fantastic customer service by all the staff, nothing was too much. Neat place.
Room: too small, poorly maintained (bathroom tired) and not neat (lots of dust). Mattress was good, air conditioning was good and no trouble with night noise.
Breakfast: limited selection but quality was ok.
Parking: convenient parking space in front of the hotel, but pricey.
Location: center easily accessible on foot.
Overall: not worth 4 stars, expected more from Mercure. We usually stay in Pullman hotels and the quality difference is quite large.
Nice clean rooms, friendly staff.
Good rates.
Small but bright and cozy rooms. Courteous staff. Free WiFi. Limited food choices
No lift
No parking
Tried online checking, it did not work
No explanation about why it did not work.
This place is not worth the money and staff can be more helpful.
The double room is not good for a couple.
BAD.. on arrival was not tidy .. and the shower also completely bad (room 026), I heard noises from toilet flushing all night..can not sleep. Not worth an asterisk. !!!
Nice available staff
Comfortable rooms not too big
Cozy bed with many pillows
Wonderful buffet breakfast
Nice clean hotel. Pleasant friendly staff. Bed very comfortable. Good central location, off main streets.
A beautiful hotel, the rooms were nicely decorated and I loved my stay. I liked the location near the canels.
We arrived in Amsterdam mid-week and stayed in an upgraded room overnight. The Hotel is within walking distance of major sites. (Admittedly, the Hotel is a little bit far from Amsterdam's Central Train Station - approximately 10 blocks - if you want to walk there and roll or carry luggage.). The room was large, very clean, included a mini bar refrigerator with free beverages and a Nespresso coffee/espresso maker, a large comfortable king bed, ample lighting, nice air conditioning and a good shower. The service was excellent: Gracious and knowledgeable check-in staff and accessible and competent Manager. The included Buffet Breakfast offered a variety of hot and cold breakfast foods - including eggs, cheeses, meats and freshly squeezed orange juice - and was hosted in a nice dining room. We would stay in this Hotel again and highly recommend it to others.
Just what you need from a city center hotel, yes the rooms are a little small, but big comfortable beds nice bathroom. Pleasant friendly staff all within walking distance of the main attractions.
You must have just been here, you get the best service you could wish for, behind the bar of the friendly b & v staff .....!
Hotel looks nice, but we got a bad room no. 232. With a window to the street and without good acoustics we could hear any movement. But the biggest problem was the noise of the heater, a hellish "tac" all night. We slept badly for that.
The bathroom is small and has no proper air outlet, although it is well equipped and clean.
The positive point is a cell phone offered free of charge with the room, which helps a lot for circulation in the city since it has internet and we tourists never have.
A very nice hotel, well cared for and with friendly staff.
For Amsterdam we had a big room. Is conveniently located next to tram and metro. Pretty clean. Good and adequate breakfast. Very quiet location although walking fast in the city center.
Welcomed cordially and efficiently. Comfortable room. Excellent breakfast.
Perfect for exploring the canals and a gentle stroll into the centre. Clean and friendly hotel.
Really our stay was magnificent, very good treatment of the hotel staff, kind very well predisposed to solve any concerns or doubts of the guest, the relaxed and quiet environment, the comfortable rooms and the spectacular breakfast.
Undoubtedly I would choose them again, as well as recommend them to friends and family.
Congratulations.
We stayed for several days. The location is good, the facilities clean and the staff very well mannered, from the maids to the front desk clerks. Very good. They all speak good English and go out of their way to serve and understand people who do not speak or speak English well. Note 10.
Great location, excellent service, comfortable room, quiet street, we liked it very close to the museum quarter, where is the Van Gogh Museum
Good reception (although they do not speak French). Spacious hotel. Quality room. Some parking spaces available (fee). Great breakfasts. Bar available in the basement.
Very nice, central, nice reception, nice rooms, nice bars and restaurants nearby! Very good breakfasts nearby.
Breakfast little varied. There was no change of towels in 5 days. Hotel not ready at the entrance for suitcases and people with reduced mobility. Very small bathroom Extra uncomfortable bed. Pillows too fat. Little quality to be a 4 star hotel. Good; good treatment of the staff.
Nice compact room .. everything in advance ... good beds ....
The hotel was clean, the staff very friendly and accommodating. The house has a very good location.
What a gem in the heart of Amsterdam! Free parking. Few parking spaces but that is understandable given the location. Nice bar.
This was the latest in many visits at the Mercure. Given the length of our stays -- typically 2-3 weeks -- we have had many opportunities to experience your excellent staff. Those whom we have found very helpful and delightful in the past were so again: in the lounge, Theo and Leon; at breakfast, Maria and Hatteech (sp.?);
at the front desk, Marjolain, Bram, Wilma, and a new young woman who helped us at checkout; in our rooms, Suzanne.
Great place to stay, smiling stuff, clean rooms and tasty breakfast plus there is bicycle rental available. Highly recomending !!
Stayed here one night on a mini cruise break. The hotel is about 20-30 mins walk from the central station and it has a tram stop about 2 min walk up the road. The staff are very helpful and polite and nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was lovely and the beds were exceptionally comfy. We didn't have breakfast but the drinks in the bar were reasonably priced. I can't fault this place and I would definitely return.
