Nova Classical Academy Review

I mean it's fine if you just close your eyes and pretend you're at SPA.

This is the cheapest school out there. Today I bring the visiting team to play volleyball. I was told that I have to pay. Since I've been driving school bus for the past 5 years. Not one school charge me, or any other driver that I know of to go in and watch the game. So I left. Looks like I have to wait out in the bus.

The kids and parents are horrible people! They hate anyone not like them! DO NOT GO HERE!

Awful terrible, racist children.
My 7 year old daughter was physically abused by her male classmates at school, called a SLAVE.
the staff is only concerned with keeping families that pull their children quiet.
Currently under investigation by the state.
A diagrace.

Offers a comprehensive education with excellent teachers and a healthy, edifying classroom environment for students. Our children have attended since kindergarten and developed skills and a knowledge base that has surpassed our expectations. Their motto says a lot: "We learn not for school but for life"

The memes, in general are pretty janky. Overall 2 stars because rhetorical wizard Matt granoff.

Imagine a school where the students are honest and friendly, there's a reasonable amount of homework, and the dress code is lenient and not too restrictive.

And then go to that school, because you won't find those things at Nova. Minus one star for not having Mr. Miller this year, and minus another for keeping those filthy latin student around. Other than that, pretty fun place to be. Overall, 3/5, go to Eagle Ridge instead.

Sent both my kids here and am very happy with the result. The kids know more after graduating high school than most kids do after graduating college! This is NOT a school for the average kid, it's clearly a college prep school. Ignore the negative comments you see below, I suspect it's from children at the school who resent the rigorous curriculum (not surprising, I would have resented being pushed so hard at their age too). But the outcome is children ready for college with a near 100% college placement rate.

Going to Nova is easy. It's like riding a bike and the bike is on fire and the ground is on fire and everything is on fire because you're in hell.

they started school to early this year and i m upset about it normally they would start 1 week before labor day but this year they started two weeks early for no reason. a lot of schools pushed the starting date back to prepare students and teachers for distance learning but nova pushed the date forward for some reason anyways the counselors are understaffed to say the least they only have one high school counselor for the entire 9th-12th grade. no teachers of color overall mediocre experience but some of the teachers make it better so that s where the 2 stars come from

Nova is an exceptional school with exceptional teachers who challenge my kids, yet keep the joy and love of learning alive in the classroom. Nova has reasserted itself as an inclusive place where all students are welcome. Our family is grateful and proud to be part of Nova.

This school makes me want to make my eyes into eggs. Sexton is the best teacher here.

To counter a previous review, this is a charter school offering a very complex and rigorous curriculum. Said curriculum is what earns it the tittle as the #1 hardest highschool in the state and 16th in the nation. I wouldn't be anywhere near as smart as I am if I had gone anywhere else. Furthermore, Nova Classical Academy is not rich by any means. So don't get upset when you have to pay money to go to the volleyball game. It's for the children, not for you.

It took me ten years to realise that it wasn't the line for pizza Hut and by then I decided that I might as well just get my high-school diploma

We were thrilled when we were offered a kindergarten spot mid-year! After a terrible experience at our local public school with out-of-control children and crowded classes, (sadly, it's considered one of the better public elementaries in St. Paul) we cannot be more pleased with how the second half of our year went. It was everything we wanted in a Kindergarten classroom-- Caring, respectful children and teachers, an education with high expectations, and smaller class sizes.

I have not gone to the school yet but I am thinking about going. But I do know that this school isn t the best for everyone, some kids will hate it and others will love it. It just depends on you and how you learn and stuff.

Terrible school, if you want to scar your child for life send them here. Diversity grade should be an F. Classes are terrible school day is too long too much homework and the teachers are too strict and this place is basically a prison for children.

Our son has gone to school here for 5 years. Incredible eduction. For a charter school open to all based on lottery enrollment,it does a spectacular job! This School appeals to far left and far right wing parents,so of course there is bound to be discord on occasion. This school does a solid,although overly careful job of trying to meet the needs of its students/parents. It also aims to meet the legal needs of the authorizer. Even with best attempts, someone won't be happy. The school has a wide variety of people. Not just bad on race, but religions, socioeconomic status, family make ups,etc. Every school has bullies,and this school works hard to reduce any issues that arise. Focus here is on working hard to be a good scholar!
