Do not buy or get service from this dealership period.i bought 2 used vehicles from this dealership both had major problems.gmc $7200.00 for new motor at 76,000 miles.warrant didn't cover because it 5 yrs or 100,000 miles..wife's used tundra had needed over 3600.00 in repairs.we maintenance or vehicles regularly.stay away.

Because of the delay in the part that was on recall, he supplied me with "wheels" as this was over the Christmas and NewYears Holiday. This was a busy time for us all and I was so appreciate that I was able to attend all the festivities over the holidays. He really deserves a gold star.

Never thought I would say this about taking a car to a dealership but its true. The level of service I receive from Jeremy at North County Buick is just great. I have a older cadillac and you would think the way Jeremy treats me and the vehicle that it was a brand new car I just bought there. He is on top of things, always conscience of cost and stay in touch. Thanks Guys

November 9, 2017: Had a 2007 Cadillac Escalade an...

November 9, 2017: Had a 2007 Cadillac Escalade and on our way to San Diego on business the 'light' came on that said "Low Oil Pressure - Shut Down Vehicle". Did just that. Waited 20 minutes later turned car on and went directly to North County Buick GMC. NEVER had this light go on. Went into service and explained what happened, they gave us a loaner and we proceeded to our appointment. While having lunch received a phone call and was told our Escalade "spun a cam bearing". Hummm...
This Escalade was in for maintenance every 6 months so was concerned why the last minute warning. Was told by service that it was going to cost $10,168.00 for a new engine. Hummm... Only had 104K miles and our last Escalade we placed 275K miles on original engine. Next day went to North County arriving at 11:30AM. Salesman waiting in the wings.
Made the decision (based upon only their info) to purchase another new car. So GMC Terrain it was. Well after 7 hours of waiting, numerous people talking to us, no food (I'm hypoglycemic), can only drink cappuccinos so long and couldn't leave the dealership because paperwork "being completed" I'd had enough. Went in to sign documents and was so exhausted, NEVER saw the Manroney Sticker which had "Dealer Installed Options" and was forced to purchase an 'extended service contract', talk about padding the payment, and the list just keeps on going. I would have signed anything just to get away from this dealership. Finally got in the car, salesman didn't go over the essentials of how the vehicle works, he was more concerned about going home!! Yeah me too!! It was the purchase from hell.
Now the good stuff. Barry Lambert (after a month of me calling the dealership and being passed around to practically every person at that dealership) called me and wanted to discuss the 'purchase'. I must give credit where credit is due. He realized what was done and was very responsive to want to come to a conclusion. After much discussion with spouse, we texted Barry with a fair settlement offer to make right, and he accepted. Sent the check, done. Cancelled the extended service contract and he sent the check to the bank to apply to the principal. Done. We then paid this car off. Why?? 9.750% interest rate. 740 credit score?? Hummmm......
I purchase a new vehicle about every 8 years. But only if there is a reason. We still have the GMC Terrain and if they had played a better hand would have received the new purchase of our 2018 Escalade Platinum Edition. But when you play a hand to deceive a customer, that customer has options. They were told I was going to purchase another Escalade. Maya Angelou has said "When someone shows you who they really are the first time, BELIEVE THEM".
So I did just that..........

I made the mistake of purchasing a GMC 3500 Denali...

I made the mistake of purchasing a GMC 3500 Denali Dually from a car dealership that has turned out to be incapable of properly servicing the vehicle (truck) they sold me. On my most recent visit they called me to tell me that my brakes need replacing and my rotors have hotspots and neither was true. I have completely lost faith in this dealer and am disgusted that they tired to take advantage of me and sell me something that was not necessary. The last time I had a service problem I left a voicemail for the GM and he/she never took the time to return the call. I should have learned my lesson. I didn't and returned and regret it. They have lost my business and I do not recommend purchasing a truck from this car dealer. Furthermore their service technicians (in my opinion) are dishonest.

The service department is filled with folks who care about what they do.

Unfortunately, what was a good experience quickly ...

Unfortunately, what was a good experience quickly turned sour. Monica was great to work with before and during buying... but the second you sign the papers- she s done. She left me with a 1/4 tank of gas after spending a LOT of money on a car... to drive 100 miles home to LA with 2 kids in the evening! When I asked her about it, she said we only fill up the tank if it s a brand new car
Next... my taillight would intermittently go in and out- by the time I called her (like 35 days after) she said well you didn t buy the extended warranty and it s past 30 days, there s nothing we can do (it is $790 to fix!!!!!)
Attempted reaching out to service there and told them I d be willing to drive there for a better deal... they were good with a few reminder calls, but then everyone just went silent. No return calls, nothing. Super unfortunate that they only treat you with care and respect when they need your big sum of money.

Great! Tried to order a part at a nearby dealer but they refused without me making a special trip. Called north county Buick, they ordered the part without a second thought, came in two days later to pick it up and pay no problem. Thanks Chuck and the rest of the parts dept.

I bought a brand new 2012 Acadia. Less than a week after I brought it home my navigation system failed. I did some research and found out that this had been a recurring problem with the GMC vehicles. I took my vehicle in for an oil change and to have my navigation system repaired. I sat around the dealership for over two hours while they completed my oil change and told me they would have to order a new system. They normally wash your vehicle and vacuum it prior to returning it but I did not feel like waiting around another hour just to have that done. It has been a month and my navigation system still has not been repaired and I have not had any contact initiated from the dealership to let me know the status. This has been my worst experience concerning customer service. I expect some kind of feedback. When I bring my BMW in for any kind of service at the BMW dealership at least they provided me with a loaner car so I don't have to wait around the dealership

A job that was to take 2 hours turned into 6 hours . Last time i purchase a vehicle from this place let alone take the vehicle back there for service.

The worst car buyinh and service experience. I test drove a Cadillac SRX and the salesman followed up with phone and email. We agreed on the price and terms but when I went back to purchase the deal changed! Sales Manager told me that salesman shouldn't have made the offer. I ended up going to Tustin to buy my SRX for better price and term. Last week I brought my SRX for service. I made an appointment but after waiting for 45 minutes there was no loaner car and no one seems to care. I had to cancel and so far have left two unanswered messages for the Service Manager. Tom Ryan but no return call.

This dealership was quick to sell an additional protection plan when I purchased it last October but has not responded to any of my phone calls to cancel the plan and receive a refund due to trading the vehicle in. I am extremely dissatisfied with this lack of response and professionalism from their team. Terrible customer service from the finance department, I would not recommend this dealership.

I just purchased my 2019 GMC Sierra Denali and couldn't be happier! I had 3 due bills in my purchase where they powder coated the rims from chrome to black chrome, installed a carbon fiber Tonneau cover, and outfitted the whole truck with weather tech floor liners. The service was on fabulous! They gave me another denali to drive during the week they completed the due bills and my truck came back looking like a GEM! I fully recommend NCBGC for your GMC, Buick, and Cadillac desires and needs. Terry in the Service department will take real good care of you!

I bought a 2006 GMC 2500HD back in 2006. Have always used their service department and have had great results. When it was time to buy a new truck, I went back to North County GMC. A couple of weeks of emailing their internet sales and a couple of test drives, I drove away with a 2016 GMC 2500HD. The process was "perfect", but everybody was very professional and helpful.

I love this truck and plan to drive it for another 10+ years and will continue to go back to North County GMC.

Larry at Service Dept. provides what many firms lack today and that is Excellent and Professional Old Fashioned Customer Service. He has helped me tremendously every time I take my vehicle in for maintenance. Without a doubt in my mind, Larry is an extremely valuable asset. All I can say is thank you Larry for all your help!!!

Jeremy always offered a vehicle for my use while repairs and maintenance work was being done. I love how the newer Denali vehicles are nearby to keep my interest in GMC products.

I always hate writing these bad reviews, but I would be doing you all a disservice if I didn't tell you my ordeal with North County. My husband and I went in to trade in a my new vehicle just to lower our car payments. We were in no hurry, but was interested in getting rid of car payments. I was reassured that the vehicle they were selling me was inspected and that "WE wouldn't sell it if it hadn't passed OUR inspection! WE WOULDN'T HAVE PUT OUR NAME ON THE CAR!" Well, I should have never trusted their word. I took the Yukon in because it was starting hard and the emergency brake wasn't holding. I've had the car LESS then 3 months and 3,400 mile put on the vehicle. It now needs a new Fuel Pump, Brake Lines and the Brake Fluid is dirty and needs to be replaced. In other words, $1200 later, the reliable car that they sold me needs work after 2 months of ownership. I haven't picked up my vehicle yet, but I'm SURE they are going to charge me a ridiculous amount to put my car back without any work on their end. THIS PLACE IS A RIP OFF! DO NOT GO THERE! DO NOT TRUST ANYTHING THEY SAY!!! DO NOT LET THEM STEAL YOUR MONEY!!

I was in the market for a full size truck (GMC, Chevy or Ford). This would be my first truck so I went to several dealerships, test drove every truck several times before I settled on a GMC Sierra 1500 4x4. I spoke to several sales people (from different dealerships) and Randy Hanslik at North County GMC was joy to work with. He went above and beyond to make me and my wife comfortable, stayed late, and reached out multiple times to make sure I was satisfied. I would highly recommend working with Randy and the staff at North County GMC.

The dealership was clean, free coffee, comfortable seats in waiting area, football was on TV, all a plus.

I would do zero starts if possible from the start they are scammers i bought the extra warranty More than 4 grand every time I have called they have had some exclusion on that not being covered was sold bumper to bumper warranty Melanie was the original sales person she said the warranty would be zero deductible then when I get I There they have it as 100$ deductible i refused since Melanie said specifically it would be 0$ any a charge if done at another dealership which would have been a blessing to go to in the first place. Look at any of my reviews I never come one and bash any business but stay clear and never purchase the extend warranty. Then they said I have to pay 170 to diagnose it which I already told them the code and problem this is not how a bigger dealership should definitely do business again look at any of my reviews I don't pull Karen's but watch out for these scammers. When I bought my new GMC Sierra SLT E-Assist from ...

When I bought my new GMC Sierra SLT E-Assist from North County GMC about a year ago, I must say that I was very impressed with the entire crew in the sales department. They were very professional and there were no shady used car salesmen tactics utilized. It was a really good experience! However, after a few months of owning the Sierra, it became very apparent that the E-Assist model I purchased has some major, major problems when it comes to the engine shut-off mode and the V4 mode. Both of those features cause the transmission and the rear-end to slam into gear occasionally, as if the rear-end were about to fall out; it usually does this when you're coming up to a stop light and the light turns green before you stop and then you accelerate. The E-Assist model also has a major hesitation problem when you're taking off; it pauses for about two seconds when you try to accelerate even though the gas pedal is pressed down. As far as trying to get these problems repaired goes, North County GMC's Service Department has failed up to this point. For the longest time I brought my truck to Hector in service and he would merely say the problem was just a characteristic of the E-Assist model, which is ridiculous! In fact, I am shocked the truck hasn't been recalled for these two issues. Recently, I brought my truck in for general service, and I requested they take a look at the ongoing problems I mentioned above. This time Todd Rogers helped me. To his credit, Todd actually tried to fix the problem instead of giving me the same old "characteristic" excuse Hector would always say. Todd claimed they did some reprograming to the vehicle. Although I could tell the truck is driving a little differently (more jerky and less V4 mode), it still did not fix the problem. For such a beautiful truck, I am amazed at how jerky it feels, or how it fails to accelerate for a second or two when you push the gas pedal down. At this point, I really don't know what to do. I have tried to get these problems fixed through North County GMC for over a year now, with failed results. If I could trade my truck in tomorrow for a different model without being upside down on the loan, I would do it in a heart beat.

In finance, my dmv refund check had my name AND someone else (they had no idea how that happened) and in service I was promised repeatedly for something that never happened. I emailed the gm two months ago and never received a reply. At least I love my car- that's the ONLY reason for even 1 star.

I was looking around for a great deal on a three row SUV and decided to check out the Enclave since it had been redesigned and looked appealing to me. Drove over and was Greeted by Nick. I advised him what I was trying to accomplish he said no problem My manager Joe will work with you. Went in spoke to Joe and we came to an agreement. They would send me numbers and I would be in the next morning with my wife since the suv was for her. They never tried to corner me or anything. I left and with in an hour I had numbers on a lease as requested. I came in the next day she approved and with in an hour and a half I was driving home in our new SUV. GREAT, GREAT Experience!!!!!!!

The best purchase of a vehicle in all my years of buying cars. This definitely a class act from the top down. Very impressed! The salesman was Cornelius Donahue and was very knowledgeable and low-pressure.
The Manager on duty was Drew Doran and was great guy and made everything fast and simple. I went to 5 stores prior and not only did he beat everyones price he gave me $2000 more for my trade than everyone including Carmax. I was in and out of store in record time and loving my new Cadillac.
Now my wife wants one!

A month earlier, a serious mechanical failure while enroute to Las Vegas sidelined my truck at another GMC dealership for 7 weeks and this was not a good experience. Due to this situation, I can say from experience that you are in good hands with this North County GM dealership.

Thank you GMC Escondido for reminding me why you never want to go back to the dealer to have your car looked at. My experience or lack there of has made me completely rethink my decision to buy my second car from GMC.

Called in Friday afternoon and spoke with Todd (service manager I believe). I told him that my 2014 GMC Terrain with about 55k miles on it was losing power at about 4,000 RPMs. I asked him if I could bring it in on Saturday to have it looked at (yes I know it was a last minute request). He asked us to call him on Saturday at 11:00 AM and he would see if he could fit us in. Called on Saturday waited on hold for 10 minutes just to get his voicemail. Left a voicemail asking him to call us back either way and let us know if he could fit us in. If he couldn t no problem we would schedule it for a different day. It is now Monday morning and we never heard from Todd. I understand that Saturday s are busy but a simple 5 minute phone call could not be returned reminded me why I avoid taking my car to the deal at all cost. They simple don t care about the little things. GMC I will never buy another car from you.

Just go up to Paradise GMC in Temecula, trust me. My problem is I bought my truck at North County and have to go here because of some aftermarket work they did on the truck before I bought it. I've had the same issue for 20k miles and they just blame me for buying the truck. I have been told to rotate tires, align tires, balance, force balance, buy new ones, put sand bags in the bed of the truck, and lastly put original size tires and rims on it: none of those have improved my shaking truck. By the way, I did finally talk to a tech today who was nice and explained some stuff to me as opposed to just being dismissed by the service staff, so props to that guy.

The service department was terrible. Brian and the other guy were extremely rude.Took them over 2 hours to do a simple oil change. They scheduled an appointment for 11:30am and when we showed up, we were told everyone goes to lunch at 12pm so they would not even start on my car until 1pm. Came back at 1pm and didn't get my car back until almost 330. I will NOT be buying our truck from here just simple based on the terrible service.

If I could stop getting an email telling me to rate my experience every 5,000 mile oil change I'd give it 5 stars. Jeremy has taken care of my Acadia's oil change ever since we bought the vehicle and does a professional job. Most of the service guys don't greet you when you enter the service area but Jeremy makes an effort to say hello. I will continue to trust my vehicle services with Jeremy each and every time.

The experience here is unlike anything I could have expected, they advertise a car on their website for a certain model at a certain price, they run you credit they draw up the contract let you drive 2hours, just so when you get there they are giving you a different car even do the vin# and stock are the same it's not what they advertise in detail. I have pictures emails and advertise description. They will bait and switch you! They will continue to put out false advertising, read their reviews, check out yelp also, it's shameful that crooked business like this are allowed to treat customers like this unscathed. I have contacted better business Bureau, it takes two minutes to file but if you experience anything like I did I encourage you to stand up for what is right and report them immediately

this was a total mess the truck wasn't clean, dust and dog hair was found all over.the sales personal made a lame excuse at my point of view , he said the detail personal was off and couldn't got the truck ready, then he offers to do and appointment to detail it. next day let the truck detailing and it look better but not the best.

yes i bought the extended warranty and sure enough when my truck fail the dealer try not to fix my truck, i was looking at 350.00 dollars at rental charge. so much for 2900.00 mechanical insurance.

during signing the deal for the truck the financial personal asked me if i wanted a protection detailing on the truck insode and out , i asked does it comes with the price already.. and as you may guess ..he said yes, but it wasn't yes he lied. is being a year that i being paying this thruck and no word about fixing this , yes i review the contract and it was a 1500.00 charge for the detailing on the truck ...have i have news or words about it, no. no call at all. yes north county gmc you lost my business.

The MULTIPLE problems I've had with this vehicle makes me regret going back to Buick at all. And the service area of the dealer is cramped, crowded, loud, unorganized, and just plain horrible. I attempted to purchase a new vehicle from this dealership today, salesman was cool, no issues with him...however, when I attempted to get a price for my trade-in, the manager refused to give me a quote because I didn t want to discuss what monthly payment I was comfortable with... I tried to explain that I wasn t concerned about the monthly payment because that would work itself out once price of the car was finalized...I was concerned with the trade-in value to know how much I would need to come up with out of my pocket...but manager would not provide a dollar amount for my trade-in. Unheard of...buyer beware

I believe in giving credit where credit is due. I will also say that I have a hard time making the time for these surveys but I'll revert to my earlier statement and outline my experience. My initial experience with the dealership was the purchase of my '08 GMC 2500HD which was positive the whole way through. Very minor issues provided minimal touch with Service department until recently. Here is where I truly compliment the dealership as the customer service I received was nothing short of top notch. You have earned my compliments, recommendation and thanks!

Come on Google, why did you force me to even give them 1 star? 0 can't be an option?
Worst service center ever in all of my experience in owning a car. EVER!!!! The sales side was so bad that I ended up not even buying from them, I bought from someone else so I'm not really able to say much on that end. But they keep getting me with bad service!!

I live only 2 miles away from them, verses about a 30-minute drive from the better dealer I prefer town (Marvin K Brown Cadillac). So that means when something is wrong sometimes I have to go to them vs trying to put my car on the freeway and go somewhere else that's not as convenient to home. But going to them out of proximity and convenience still seems to prove more of a headache because of how terrible their service has consistently been! I don't know if it's just me they treat this way (not going to play the race card because I don't have anyone else to compare to so that probably would not be fair, though I feel it plays a factor with how they interact with me when I am there) or if they're this bad with everyone! In a world where everyone else's customer service is getting better, in every industry, I just don't see how their's gets worse every time I go in.
Do you want me to start with the small things or the big ones? Let's start very small. I see others get their car back washed, but I never do! They mention (in writing) that they will check all fluids and do an inspection and top everything off, but just this week when I took my car in, it said low washer fluid and when I picked it up it still said low washer fluid, and was not washed, or at least at the seat vacuumed where they sat behind the steering wheel . That's just the small stuff.
The big stuff: I call in advance and schedule an appointment and when I come in they tell me they will not be able to get to me today. Or, they do service on my battery, which is located hidden away in the rear of my car, and when I later open my trunk I find that they did not put everything back together and I'm clipping components back on and finding pieces myself! They really can't put the panel back on to cover the battery and just left it exposed in my trunk? Did I mention showing up for appointments and being told that no one will be able to help me today? I've been told multiple times (every time) that a loaner car is not available for me, however every time I go in I see multiple people getting loaner cars from them.
I'm trying to only mention the short stuff because I doubt you're still reading by now. But if you are, there's so much more! It's like I'm caught in a Catch-22. Do I drive my vehicle down the street to the closest dealer, or do I get on the freeway in a car that has something major going on with it, to drive across town to get quality service. And I know Quality Service exists because I get it EVERY SINGLE TIME I go to Marvin K Brown Cadillac! If it's general maintenance I do go to them, Marvin K Brown. However for the unlikely times that it's certain issues, getting on the freeway is not advisable. They go above and beyond at Marvin K Brown, and it drives me nuts that I still find myself here at North County, again, getting more bad service today!

I recently contacted their Internet & Fleet Sales ...

I recently contacted their Internet & Fleet Sales department looking for information.
While at work, I don't take phone calls but I will email.

The sales person, Sheila Hays, was "assisting" me.

I provided a lot of the information she would want to know about my current vehicle and situation.

I also asked a number of questions about the vehicles that had my interest.

It was a 13-14 bullet point list, single statements. Nothing that long to read.

I wanted to be as helpful as I can.

She had contacted a couple of times asking me questions when I had already provided that information.

If I go out of my way to provide the info to eliminate that back and forth contact, then use it to your advantage, not ask me repetive questions.

Give me pricing and options, not waste my time.

I was disappointed and informed her that I will be contacting another dealership.

Poor salesmanship.

I bought a vehicle at north county Buick gmc with the help of the internet sales team.

The good
They were able to locate a particular configuration and color I wanted at a great price! Unfortunately, it was at another dealership. Do your homework ($11k off msrp without all the applicable rebates!). The paperwork and finance department was a smooth process.

The bad
1 week passed and no vehicle. Then I was notified that the vehicle was sold to someone else!

Constant customer surveys for new vehicle purchases!

Multiple sale rejection letters!

Letters to return the vehicle!

All this and I never even seen the vehicle!

I requested to have the manager contact me and that was the last I heard from anyone at north county Buick gmc....

Do not waste your time there....
