Lots of living sea creatures, and the sunfish is just amazing.
Lots of living sea creatures, and the sunfish is just amazing.
The aquarium is more like an aquarium for children, nothing to do with our aquarium in Genoa! Entrance ticket very expensive but the children have fun
way too expensive and too little to look at. Waste of money and time.
Well done. A very nice experience exhibition. There is a lot to see and try out for the children.
All texts are in Danish, German and English. The tours are also in German.
Some problem, therefore only 4 stars, there is a 2.75% fee for foreign credit cards, and I do not mean the bank fee for payments in the non-euro area, which are added on top. I find that very bad for an institution that lives from tourism.
Great aquarium where you can really see and get to know all the marine animals of Denmark. Especially the moonfish is great.
It may be the biggest, but it is disappointing how little there is to see in so much space. It was over quickly and we would never have left unless it was on the road during the holidays. That party was enough to touch the crabs and starfish. The blue planet has much more to offer.
The aquariums were incredibly fascinating!
Perfect for adults and children!
Sensational aquariums and activities for the whole family. Highly recommended!!
Great aquarium with lots of nice to see. Fun activities for kids. Food pulls down the overall impression.
Beautiful place beautiful fish good experiences for the Family But 2 to 3 hours you are done for the next 4 to 6 years but super nice
Liked it a lot! Particularly interesting was the child.
Fantastic experience. The aquarium is impressive and the staff dedicated.
Absolutely an experience in a relaxed atmosphere! But: You should plan enough time, with 1-2 hours you can not get out.
This was a first time for me and loved most of all the feeding of the Seals !!!
Not cheap, but really nicely done. They have specialized in the wildlife of the Baltic and North Seas. Is right on the doorstep and makes sense. The huge pool with the sunfish is really impressive.
Very nice aquarium with many different fishes from the north sea. The main aquarium is really huge and has similar size of Hagenbeck Aquarium in Hamburg.
A lot of advertising for nothing. Little pool and little variety of species and animals.
After all, there is a sweet playground for children.
The main attraction "the sunfish" is unfortunately also relatively small. The pools are all very dark and not decorated. The pool of the seals in the outside area was completely dirty.
For 20 entry = NOT RECOMMENDED
Fantastic really worth a visit. Highly recommended. Take the grandmother with the children
Equally great for the family or for the couple who are on the carriage ride
The oceanarium is really very nice, I really enjoyed watching the feeding of seals
Definitely a most do if you are in the area.
The aquarium does a great job with very cool sea tanks as well as a great virtual fish simulator for the kids to play.
They also have animators to talk about the fish. However, everything was done in Danish which could make it hard for some.
Very expensive. But informative. Lots of interactive screens etc
Miserable service and high prices do not come again and expensive.
Very nice "aquarium", which of course is known above all for the sunfish. During the summer holidays you could get in for half the price, which was a really great offer, as I don't find it that cheap otherwise. There is ample parking space and an outdoor playground. If you like, you can also watch the seal feeding at noon. Fish fans get a lot to see here.
In any case, you should visit the Oceaneum, if you are holidaying nearby. The different aquariums are very beautiful and you get a nice overview of the inhabitants of the North Sea. The highlight is and remains the huge aquarium in which the moonfish draw their circles. You just have to experience it once.
Too bad that the moderation takes place exclusively in Danish, but so sympathetic, that you still like listening and snapping a few words that you can understand.
The seals in the outdoor area are also wonderful to watch. In the Glsstunnel there is often interaction with one of the animals, probably a younger seal, who obviously enjoys playing with children on the disc. Very cute.
There was a lot to see, but I thought it would be bigger. In two hours you have everything said including the feeding of the seals, etc.
Nice and clean aquarium. However, a bit macabre, that in the restaurant various fish dishes are offered.
Good place to find out everything about the North Sea.
Good picture illustrations of the different fish in the aquariums so you know what you are looking at and at the same time text is available if you want to know more. Very child-friendly and are you not so good at reading yet or have an adult reading up for one is also screens most places that in several languages can tell one about the different fish etc. There is room for free play inside and so there also a huge playground outside.
Hallooooo ... is it still? I live in Nordhorn and this oceanarium is the closest attraction ??? A big no go .... FAIL !!!
Great for both kids and adults ...
Good facilities for families with children
Visited for the 3rd time and a great experience every time. To see the beautiful and big fish and to get all the information about the seas, every time nice. Definitely worth a visit.
A place where everyone can be with young as old. It is definitely worth a visit. The only downside is that in some places there may be many people in very little space
I did not like it that much. No real tour. At the seal feeding you could understand nothing, because the speaker was aligned to the other side. Then only in Danish, of course one is Denmark, but the Lord has spoken without a dot and a comma. Since few sentences German or English would certainly not wrong. Generally better signage where what is. Highlight the large pool, but more smaller would be great.
A fun, educational and immersive experience of the Nordic garden and wildlife.
There are lots of activities, experiences and sea animals to explore (mostly aimed at children.)
Covid-19 time can make it a bit slow and difficult in terms of distance to others, but it is temporary and I thought people were good at taking into account.
I have been coming here since I was a child every few years and I will come here again in the future.
Large basin with many fish, main attraction the two sunfish.
Many other fish, sufficiently explained in German. Good offer for children, experience and try for yourself. Worth a trip, if not cheap.
Nice place with really many fish and marine life. Currently being rebuilt that huge aquarium with thousands of fish is but the absolute highlight!
Great place with lots of activities and amazing animals.
Outdoor playground is sublime.
An experience for those who want to see our "own" seas up close. Much to do and experience for the kids. Expensive, unfortunately and eat lunch somewhere else.
Great place to come and see and experience fish and many other sea animals
There is a lot to see and experience here, a must is feeding in the large aquarium.
A bit worn and only the cafeteria and shop at the exit were open.
Exciting attraction for both children and adults .. well done
A super aquarium and two sequences of meals given to animals, the first to seals outside and the second to fish in the large aquarium.
Visited on a Sunday morning in September, not many people and great experience.
Very varied. Interactive. Great for kids. It also astonishes adults.
Kids will adore it. Adults as well, but kids will go crazy fishing crabs, watching seals playing, feeding time in the large acquarium, etc....totally recommended
Very nice the sunfish is great. Unfortunately it seems a bit old. Otherwise recommendable.
The North Sea Oceanarium is a great experience with the seals and lumpfish that we have been following for many years.
We stayed here for the second time in two years and it never gets boring.
Nice, helpful staff (as everywhere in Denmark), nice restaurant, but also places for picnicking, outdoors and covered. Great playground for the little ones. All in all, a visit worthwhile.
Very cool and great for the kids. A little expensive, but a memory for the lives of the kids.
Impressive aquarium, unfortunately no more beanbags in the basement!
An ingenious oceanarium, especially the big pool with the shoaling fish and the lunar fish ...
An experience to try.
Fantastic big lumpfish.
Is both above and "below" the water.
Can get really close to the sea animals.
Really nice .... Just to see.
Great aquarium. You can spend the whole day there. Free parking.
Lovely place. Here is something for all age groups. We can easily spend a whole day here.
A nice aquarium that is very well organized children.
If you're in Hirtshals and the surrounding area, a visit in bad weather is nice for the whole family. Extra for travel is not worth it.
there wasn't alot to see, but perfect for smaller children!
Highly recommended. A visit will be worth it in any case
Great place to go with your kids, if they like fish. There are a lot of things to see both from above the water, and from below.
