In the very north of Denmark is a really impressive aquarium. From the ship replica in which you really feel like in a real ship Thanks to screens behind the windows over a beautiful outdoor area to the huge aquarium there is something for everyone to see.

Exciting for adults and children, with a huge moonfish, especially exotic touches. Recommended and do not forget to try the game (with awesome screen) where you will catch herring while avoiding being eaten :-)
They also have good food in the cafe.

A little expensive entry for what you got. To name it as the largest aquarium in northern Europe, it's greatness. They have a few aquariums and then a huge pond where the lumpfish swim. That aquarium was cool. But otherwise not so much to have. Sights, but not super cool.

I'm really impressed with everything we could see and be under the water and feel like you were in the water with the fish WOW
I will be happy to come again but next time we will come when they open until they close

Very well designed exhibition about the sea in general and the North Sea in particular. Ideal for children - there is a lot to see and do too actively. However, it is helpful if children can already read you well.

A highlight is the feeding of the seals and the fish in the large ocean basin.

Overall a nice experience. Bring time with you - there are experiences for a whole day.

Unfortunately it was very busy during our visit. A tour is not really, the structure does not follow a correct concept. Some aquariums are quite small. However, the moonfish in the large aquarium are extremely worth seeing. Overall, we found the visit as average interesting. It seems as if you are not adjusted to high numbers of visitors.

A must when traveling in northern Denmark. The aquarium is children friendly and equally interesting for adults. The prices are a bit too high for my taste, during our visit was rebuilt on two floors.

Branded as a big oceanarium, when it s probably the most limited amount of species in an aquarium. Aside from the sunfish, there isn t much excitement. The only big thing was the playground for kids.

Great oceanarium in Hirtshals. Promises to be the largest aquarium in Northern Europe with the slogan. The visit is definitely worth it. Much to marvel at, big aquariums. Also the much said sunfish is very impressive. Also very interesting for children. Admission price is 22.77 per adult according to today's daily rate, was a worthwhile investment.

Be sure to visit. Huge aquariums. Aquariums and bottom and top. You can see how sea lions and seals swim. At 11 am they were fed on the upper platform, on the street. Unforgettably! If with children, and even without, be sure to visit!

A great experience for grandchildren and adults.

A great experience for grandchildren and adults.
However, there are far too much leflen for tourists, as many (most) of the otherwise excellent presentations in the various areas took place in English (or mixed Danish and English). Among other things, the entire report on sharks was held 100 percent in English, with the result that many Danish families with children went from there.
After all, they have also paid a full entrance fee.
It draws into the experience.
That can be done much better.

I was here first time ten years ago. Still its a nice place to visit before go home to Norway by ferry. A highlight is the feeding of the seals. This aquarium is proffessionally made. Very nice Windows so you can easy see all fish and creatures. Every window has a good description of all fish. A nice cafe on top floor. Good food for reasonable prices. Even beer and wine is served here.

Beautiful aquarium, the large basin is home to two sunfish. Incredible animals .
The sea lion pool in the outdoor area is also very nice. For children there are experiments, petting, feeding etc ...
For the physical well-being is also taken care of, there are several stalls and a canteen.

If one or the other vacation day is rainy, you can have a nice afternoon here. You can touch fish and rays and marvel at the rare sunfish in the large sea water. A lot of interesting facts for young and old are conveyed. All signs are also translated into German.

Super experience and a very reasonable entrance price. We had children with approx. 2 and 5 which could easily get 5 hours to go. Big enough for it was a lot to see but not too big for them to constantly keep an eye on. We will definitely come again.

I recommend. Interactive, interesting, great for children. In Danish, English and German. The only thing that raises my concerns is the large number of seals kept in a fairly small pool - I haven't seen if they have a bigger one somewhere to give them space.
I only warn the more sensitive that in one of the films by the educational room for kids there is an episode of undressing a whale - but whatever country is a custom, it does not impress children there.

Wonderful destination for the whole family. The current situation is taken into account, which we would like to say positively. The large pool with a "cinema atmosphere" offers a gigantic insight into the underwater world. The sunfish in particular are impressive. Children have the option of stamping an active pass (available for a few DKK at the cash desk) at various points and are thus actively involved. Interactive games loosen up the tour again and again. The Oceanarium is also manageable for strollers / wheelchair users. Elevators take you to other floors.
Buying the ticket online in advance saves a few DKK and can use the entrance specially designated for annual and online tickets - past the queue that formed when we visited at 9:45 a.m. (buy the active pass at the cash desk if necessary ). Due to the currently applicable restrictions, only a limited number of visitors are allowed in; we have obtained current information from the homepage.
We really enjoyed the day in the North Sea Oceanarium.

Nice aquarium, partly a bit old. Overfishing could be done a little more. But that is actually not the job of an aquarium.
But there are beautiful pools, a nice outdoor area is also available.
Always worth a visit.

Perfect place for the whole family. Nice that there was treasure hunt for the children and good descriptions of the animals. Good shows, however, a little honestly that more was told in German than Danish

Not so good...it currently only has the seals and some aquariums. One of them is pretty big and you can see it from different levels. The variety of fish (for someone who is not an expert at least) doesn t seem that great. An exception to me was the sunfish - never seen/heard of this one before!

The best aquarium we have seen so far. Not exactly cheap, but you can stay there all day. The main pool is the stunner. There is even a fishing cutter in it. The pools are well maintained which is not about so. There are no problems with parking either, there is plenty of space. The fish feeding in the large pool is carried out by a diver and explained by someone in front of the huge glass pane is worth seeing. Gladly again.

Very expensive and not much to see if you compare it to the nearby Aalborg Zoo. It seems more like a huge playground for kids and not so much else. So if you have kids, I would definitely recommend this place. Otherwise it is really not worth your time and money I'm afraid.
