We had our first trip here at the end of February and overall really enjoyed it. There are a great range of facilities and most staff are very helpful. The only 2 downsides really were firstly myself and my partner were given dressing gowns that were far too small and caused much upset from the get go. Secondly the lady who served us for lunch (which was the next thing we did) was incredibly rude. This soon was forgotten about when we utilised the facilities though

A few day-spa visits & now full membership after being on the waiting list for some time. Good sports massage & hot beds. I m making use of the hydrotherapy & Dead Sea salt therapy pool for injury rehabilitation, plus the fast swim lanes for exercise. Previously, I ve used the facilities for leisure before rehab. The hydro therapy pools seems to help with mobility for inflammatory arthritis and healing broken bones - so far, so good. I m also pleased with the temperate control on entry, reduced capacity and Covid safety measures in place, including disinfecting loungers. Excellent cleanliness throughout. Multiple pool - indoor and outdoor - options, and a Roman baths feel. Gowns and towels are a few quid extra, but you can change to dry ones as much as you like. Coffee, snacks and tapas served poolside in a couple of the pools, and al la carte menu in the restaurant (plus booze- a glass of bubbles is nice for birthday spa celebrations). Mains are expensive but others are more reasonably priced. For a proper swim, best to use the new swim lane machines as the other pools are more loungey. Again, a balance to be struck between day spa and members. The new booking system works well, and so long as you plan ahead, there s always space (some members complain of lack of space, but likely their lack of packing during Covid restrictions which I think work well). It s early days, but I m very pleased so far.

Spent 13 hours in here with my mum for my birthday. We had a great time! We particularly enjoyed the hydro pool, the outdoor Jacuzzis and pool. We were lucky enough to have the last of the summer sun on a quiet day. We ate lunch and dinner in the resturant. Lunch was a buffet as part of a package. It was pleasant with a good selection. Dinner was off the menu, it was also very nice. Great sauna and steam rooms, nice and hot and spacious. They had glass fronts so you don't feel claustrophobic. I braved the ice pool afterwards, which was surprisingly exhilarating and i did not expect to like it at all. I had the best reflexology treatment of my life. I've had a fair few and also practice it myself, so I'm probably pretty hard to please. Therapist was sensational, i wish i could remember her name so i could sing her praises! Massage was ok, my mum said her's was also just ok. However we both still enjoyed our treatments.

I marked the Spa down two stars because it lacked a few finishing touches. For example, square sheets of toilet paper instead of roll, no toiletres in the changing rooms or towels to hand. The toilets and showers were a little unclean and cramped. The temperature throughout the building varied greatly and i often found myself cold. The pool with the twinkling lights in the dome roof was lovely but had floor to celling windows over looking the car park. It does need a bit of updating throughout with perhaps some warming touches here and there. Also, we were booked in for the Mud Rasul with full body exfoliation an hour before the dead sea salt flotation pods. Needles to say our skin felt like it was on fire. Considering they advise you not to so much as shave your legs 24 hours before the flotation pool, perhaps booking us in follwing exfoliation wasn't such a good idea.

I will go back though but do things a little differently.

Beautiful spa near Reading, this place is a real treat! There are multiple pools inside and outside, a hydrotherapy pool, a fitness pool and several jacuzzis. The lunch menu is limited but the best option is the all you can eat lunch buffet, full of cold and hot options of salads, noodle dishes and vegetarian dishes. The staff are very helpful, and some come around to ask if you'd like any treatments, which are an extra cost. Plenty of loungers around the pools and ample room in the dining area.

Love this spa, always come here with my mum or my boyfriend. The facilities here are lovely, staff members are always very friendly and helpful. I ve had various different treatments as well and all of the therapists are very professional. Overall would recommend!

Bought mum a treatment any it was a full body massage. The therapist only rubbed her neck and didn't even know what treatment she was supposed to give! Facilities were clean and food was good and plentiful.

well as a first time visitor I enjoyed my spa experience. outside sunbathing. exploring the pools. swimming against an automated current. hydrotherapy. floating in the dead sea salt pool. and a bit of chill in the big round pool. not a bad day.

The services was faultless, the food in the restaurant was out of this world, the therapies on offer were perfect, the decor screamed Roman Bath decadence.
To top it off the concept of making a large site have the feeling of being cosy and quiet is an art form and you pulled it off. Although I did find it amusing in the restaurant when everyone was wearing the same robes (half expected a sudden flash-mob dance break out!).
My only minor, very minor, unsurety was that some of the shower rooms looked like they need a bit of an update but that can be expected considering it is the area that has the largest footfall of the place.

I have visited Nirvana spa several times over the past ten years and I have never been disappointed. The service, facilities, staff and food are all of an excellent standard and I would highly recommend this spa. I can't wait for my next visit!

I have had a really bad experience today in Nirvana Spa. I have been bullied by a waitress about having a phone call in the facility that I have not been informed neither verbally nor writing or I have not seen a single photo around the facility regarding their no phone call policy. As well as myself, my friend was not briefed either which she was visiting facility more then one time.
I have been treated so badly for something that I am not even aware of it.
I am giving "0" on Human Relationships for bad treatment and giving "0" on professionalism about not displaying your policy properly. And giving another "0" for using low level of stuff that they don't know how to treat customers.

My wife visited on Tuesday and has suspected food poisoning after eating a prawn salad in the restaurant. She went to have a nice relax and spent the next 24 hours using the toilet. I reported this the following day and was told the operations team would call that day to get some details. Now two days later and I've still not heard from them. I expect better customer service, especially on a matter that could potentially affect other customers' health.

Food is terrible, the smallest desert at a highest priced ever seen. Not enough staff waiting long time just to get a cup of tea. Very badly managed over all. But the staff is very helpful.

The guy who showed me round was called John,
he explained and answered all my questions.
I didn't feel like, I had to sign up there and then, no hard sell.
The place it self sells it!
Very nice I'm happy to have all that to hand, to help me unwind after a long day.

Love this place!, been a member for a few years now. I tend to go in the evening or on a week day as weekends are usually full of hen do's and very noisy, find it hard to relax in that environment. Loving the new Colosseum suite. Had a few treatments here would advise pre booking to avoid disappointment, I tend to have a lava shell massage which is great! Reasonably priced.

Lovely spa although a little cold when you're walking about. The staff in the restaurant were not attentive and clearly untrained as waiters. Given the price of the restaurant buffet, it would be nice if some sort of bread was included. Generally not very impressed with the restaurant but the spa itself is lovely. If a little cold!

Great place for the prices they charge. Some people prefer a more exclusive feel, but I love this place, with its far more extensive facilities, good dining options, & nice little outside area. It's kind of like being on holiday without the kids for a day, especially in the summer! Always improving their features & facilties, too - this place never stands still & doesn't get complacent.

This is my day spa of choice, nowhere else compares to Nirvana. They have made it covid safe, apart from wearing a mask when moving about it didnt feel much different to pre covid times.

Worth 5 stars just for the Hydrotherapy pool. My lower back stiffness melts away after 30 mins in this pool with its powerful water jets. Sauna and steam rooms are great, especially when interspersed with a dip in the really cold plunge pools; really refreshing. Tepidarium heated ceramic lounge chairs are great if you want to really relax (and occasionally fall asleep!) Restaurant worth a visit just for the excellent salad buffet, which is healthy but filling if you take advantage of multiple visits. The new colosseum extension is large and simple but brings back the sense of space on busier days (Nirvana membership has grown a lot and it had started to feel a little crowded on some days)

I've only ever visited as a guest on my wife's membership, but always met with smiles from reception and staff around the venue. Should probably take out my own membership but don't yet feel the need to visit more than the couple of times a year I currently do.

Never been in myself, not my cup of tea, but the Mrs loves it and she stays in there the whole evening which gives me time to take the mountain bike out for a thrash, have a kebab and generally exist without being pestered.

On that alone, I give it 5 stars. Could be a dive inside for all I know!

A wonderful place to chill out. Very pleasant and helpful staff.

My only criticism is that when I visited last summer and was sitting outside with my daughter and her friend, who were wearing bikinis, a member of staff came and asked them to cover up whilst they were eating. I asked why a lady at the next table was not covered up and was told that she had refused. Quite frankly I didn't blame her. After all, when on holiday beside a pool would you expect to cover up when eating? A bit jobsworth, isn't it?

Great facilities, ruined by utterly backwards booking system.

Why on earth in 2017 would a facility such as this allow you to pay for a session online without being able to actually book at date and time, only to find that the spa is fully booked when you have to telephone reception to find out if you can actually take advantage of what you've just paid for?

The spa itself is a high-end experience worthy of a far higher rating than I've given here, but the one-star rating is a reflection of the infuriating manner in which one must currently arrange a visit.

Fix your booking system, Nirvana, and your rating will suddenly improve.
