Flying Fyllis Geo Traveller Review of Nirvana Spa

A few day-spa visits & now full membership after being on the waiting list for some time. Good sports massage & hot beds. I m making use of the hydrotherapy & Dead Sea salt therapy pool for injury rehabilitation, plus the fast swim lanes for exercise. Previously, I ve used the facilities for leisure before rehab. The hydro therapy pools seems to help with mobility for inflammatory arthritis and healing broken bones - so far, so good. I m also pleased with the temperate control on entry, reduced capacity and Covid safety measures in place, including disinfecting loungers. Excellent cleanliness throughout. Multiple pool - indoor and outdoor - options, and a Roman baths feel. Gowns and towels are a few quid extra, but you can change to dry ones as much as you like. Coffee, snacks and tapas served poolside in a couple of the pools, and al la carte menu in the restaurant (plus booze- a glass of bubbles is nice for birthday spa celebrations). Mains are expensive but others are more reasonably priced. For a proper swim, best to use the new swim lane machines as the other pools are more loungey. Again, a balance to be struck between day spa and members. The new booking system works well, and so long as you plan ahead, there s always space (some members complain of lack of space, but likely their lack of packing during Covid restrictions which I think work well). It s early days, but I m very pleased so far.
