This Hospital is unfortunately a joke. They are totally unprofessional. Or its fair to say at least 5 North was. When I called for information on a family members status. They were clue less and would transfer me or put me on hold. I was told by a nurse I will call you back and never did. There was a nurse covering one night I went to visit and I had a conversation with her about my family members concerns and she flat out laughed. She then stated I don't know. I don't work on this floor. Unfortunately I was not able to get her name but she was of dark complextion, and wear muticolor eyeshadow of some kind. I then called twice and left messages for the nurse manager Andrine to please return my call. And she never did. Again this unit and the nurse manager were unbelievable and not in a positive way.

I love this hospital. I was born in this hospital many decades ago, when it was very small. I never had too many visits to this hospital over the years but I am definitely a Bronxville person. Recently, I had to spend an entire week there. Although, I was mis diagnosed by an initial doctor, I was treated perfectly during that week. I found the staff to be very professional. The nurses were terrific. The PA's were great. The health care attendants were friendly and the food was good. I was admitted to the hospital with terrible pain and was put to ease very quickly. Although the turn out was not as I expected, the Lawrence hospital did a very adequate job. They have been expanding over the years and I'm sure they take care of a lot of neighboring people that surround Bronxville. No hospital is perfect and I could not find fault during my tenure there, however, my insurance company should have helped out more and the transaction that took place. When you go into a hospital, you have to ask the right questions and sometimes demand things that are necessary to help you feel comfortable. You would be surprised how good it is to be kind and considerate. Also, I think it helps having been born in this hospital, with the staff. Well, what do you know..

This was my first experience in this hospital on 11/4/2019 it was the best experience I ve ever had in a hospital. I had scheduled surgery. I must say the first person I seen need some work she was a little rude. I would say she was the admit person on the first floor. Anyway, I was sent to the 4 th floor to get prepped for surgery. All I could say is AMAZING! I was so nervous about my procedure. As soon as I walk up to the desk. Melvin greeted me he saw the stress on my face. He made me feel so comfortable. This guy is heaven sent. Omg he is amazing! I can go on and on about him. He then put me in the hands of Lesa. This young lady takes great strides in her job very pleasant . My name was missing a letter on my chart and she went all out making sure all my papers were corrected . She talk to me to make sure I was ok great bedside manners. Mazie came and took blood samples from me very sweet. Theses three made me feel at ease.My transporter Jamal C. was also wonderful.
Once I reached the OR waiting area I was greeted by my Dr Al- Husaini. We went over my procedure and she answer any concerns I had at that point. She is an excellent surgeon! 5 stars for her. She explained next I would see the anesthesiologists. She also explained this hospital has then best anesthesiologists. The Dr. was right although I didn t get his name he was the most friendliest and funny person I ever meet. He really made me relax. The team in the OR I don t know all their names did a great job. I want to thank them all. Recovery room staff there EXCELLENT! Pleasant not rude at all ! once I reached the 5 th floor. I was greeted by my nurse Jaliscia. Her bedside manner was excellent. She was so kind and pleasant her shift was almost over but she made sure before she left I had everything I needed. The Nurse at night Marissa is excellent but she does her job and the NA job! Don t remember the NA name but I wish I did because she was awful. The lady next to me need to be changed and she just told her to wait for the nurse (Marissa) . Marissa was running around trying to take care of everybody. The lady sat in her dirty pamper until Marissa got to her hours later.
Anyway morning came Jaliscia came back along with Dorett NA . These ladies were excellent the best! Great team work! Upon my departure Melvin came back to visit me to see if I was ok. I also seen Mazie she came to draw blood she was a pleasure.
I have a few more staff that I had written down but can t find my paper.
Just wanted to let everyone know my stay here was Wonderful!

Good experience with this hospital. My mom needed emergency brain surgery last year, and they did a great job! She was just admitted this week again and they have been very attentive and professional. Very pleased.

This medical facility can be compared to mount vernon, st. Josephs for filth, this hospital charged my friends medicare instead of no-fault, the staff here took an elderly lady of 90 years old, three weeks later. She smelled like a neglected horse from a neglected stable, if you know what that smells like, ewe

Unbelievable.

Unbelievable.
I was born in this hospital decades ago.
This hospital is starting to remind me of a joke.

Edit: it is a joke. It's gotta be. The nurses cannot be serious. Terribly unprofessional. What a waste of all that schooling.

Beware if you are ever in Lawrence Hospital's ER. They have set up 3 different systems for payment, all requiring their own separate bills. One for "facilities," one for radiology, and one for the doctors. My insurance company repeatedly requested the bills and Lawrence blatantly ignored them and sent my account to a collection agency. Now I am getting harassed daily by Trans Continental Collection Agency. What kind of scam are they running? Appalled by how they treat accident victims.

What happened to Lawrence hospital? When I was younger, this hospital was the premier hospital of the area. They had exceptional service, awesome staff and you were screen promptly when coming thru the emergency room.

Today I came in with my girlfriend who had severe pain in her lower abdominal region at 8:47pm. It is now 1:08 Monday morning and she still hasn t seen a doctor.

I m sitting here next to her in the waiting room comforting her from her pain and wiping away her tears. The few staff members her offer no assistance whatsoever to ease her pain and no explanation is given as to what is the reasoning behind the wait. The staff also seems very young, focused on their smartphones and ignoring the mass amount of people who are gathering here.

Service here is unacceptable and I am completely in awe!!!

I waited in pain for three hours while the triage room kept piling on new patients. Whenever I or another patient asked about how much longer we would wait, staff either acted very short or rude. They made one man, with heart palpitations and a newly installed pacemaker, wait without even checking his vitals.
While we sat there for so long, our situations could only worsen, so I finally left and went elsewhere -to Westchester Medical Center -where they treated me in less time than I waited at this hospital. Avoid this place. (The one star appears because Google prevented me from posting no stars.)

Sat in the emergency room for 2 days in the hall way having to wait in the waiting for 6. I was seen by Dr Luftano and was told that I would ne seen either that day or the next by the specialist. Come to find out that office was closed for the next 3 days. Leaving me to sit in a hospital bed for 3 days doing sorhing. This staff has no care or compensation Mark on the 5th floor was worse. Patient board was never updated. They are unorganized and clueless. I do not recomend at all

If you have a true emergency don t come to this hospital. I entered the ER with severe bleeding around 9:30pm and I waited till after 2:30am and still wasn t called to see a doctor. The ER was half empty the entire time. The staff was incredibly uncaring and indifferent. I called a cab to Montefiore on Gun Hill and was immediately brought in after triage. Never going back to Lawrence Hospital. There should be a negative star rating option.

Just a few days ago I had my first surgery ever at the Lawrence Hospital. I was very nervous as I have never been hospitalized before. From the minute I entered the hospital everyone made me feel very special. The two nurses that prepared me for the surgery and then discharged me were extremely patient, professional and warm (I think one of them was Anni), the boy that took me to an operating room(I think his name was Wayne) was also very nice.
Everyone I encountered took a great care of me and turned this negative experience into a positive one. I am very happy that I chose this Lawrence Hospital and I would recommend it to others.

Horrible...don't come here. The level of miscommunication in this place is unreal. My father was admitted. He has dementia...I was told I can stay with him. Nope...security escorted me out and made me leave my dying father alone. Heartless. Security acts like the are the NYPD. Nobody deserves to be treated in such a manner when they are dealing with losing a loved one. Looking to transfer to another hospital. DONT COME HERE EVER.

Best hospital I've been to, in the area. My daughter was born here, brought my dad in twice after falls, wife came in for other emergencies. Nurses and doctors are great, especially the ER and maternity ward. Simple walk-in to the lab for blood work. Place is very clean and comfortable. I can't say anything bad about the place. Ok, except one time off-hours I had to find a parking spot myself in small garage, and got only one small spot left.

Every time that I've called within the last month or so trying to follow up with my situation and get additional information I'm told that doctors are not there, and the three times I've called back in an emergency I've been hung up on.

I get that ER waiting rooms are notorious for their long wait times but 8 hours is just unacceptable. Went in with my fiancee who was having some pain an watched everyone else come and go in the waiting room over the next 7 hours. Finally we decided to leave and go someplace else in the morning as it was now 2:30 AM. Upon telling the check in staff this they were worried to let her leave as they thought her pain could be serious so they finally had her come into see a doctor. Only for us to wait in a waiting room for another hour! Again I went up to a nurse asking for how much longer as we don't mind coming back at this point and they said as soon as possible. Finally the Doctor saw us and we finally left around 4 AM. Clearly it wasn't that much of a priority for them and the fact they wanted us to stay is very unprofessional. Will not be going back,

I went here a year ago and was misdiagnosed. Then they dosed with a medicine I was allergic to without permission. Then I told them that my family has a history of allergic reactions to the medication and instead of immediately giving me benedryl for treatment they tested me for lyme disease. Each time the wait lasted 5 to 7 hours even when the hospital was near empty.

My dad came here with some symptoms he's been having for awhile (dizziness, vision issues, etc). Ended up waiting hours/all night, but was ok in the waiting room...Watched TV, joked... After being seen he was diagnosed with high blood pressure so he was given blood pressure medications to treat before leaving. During the process of discharging him, he started having multiple seizures followed by a massive stroke which he ultimately died from. It was explained that his blood pressure dropped too low to the point where the blood wasn't getting to his brain...

Worst hospital ever and would never return. If you entered the ER and were bleeding out, you would probably bleed to death as they have you wait four hours, while taking fu***** vital signs every two hours. I went to the ER yesterday because I was told by my local doctor to go, in order to get a cat-scan because I maybe have to remove my appendix, but I needed a scan to make sure. I entered the ER and was told that the wait time would probably be 2-2 1/2 hours of a wait time. So I waited patiently and had my vital signs checked two times while waiting, while also noticing some people were there for nearly 4-5 hours with more sever injuries waiting to be brought in. I sat in the waiting room for 4-5 hours waiting to be called and eventually left because I couldn't wait any longer. They then called me 10 mins later after I getting home to tell me the nurse was ready to see me, it was 11:30 and I arrived originally at around 7:00 pm. DON'T GO TO THIS HOSPITAL IF YOU HAVE A REAL EMERGENCY!

So uncorteous and rude. No professionalism and the doctor takes forever to come and see children. 4 hours almost and nothing. These doctors are horrible here and I would recommend to neve come here again. They should just close this hospital down or retrain the night crew. Such a horrible experience for such a fake prestigious hospital.

I can't say enough about all the care that my dad received on 3north at Lawrence Hospital. My dad has been in and out of the hospital the past two months and each and every time the staff care has been impeccable. This last two week period my dad has been doing very poorly, terminal and sent home on hospice with limited time. Each and every time I went to the hospital, the greatest care was given to him, which put myself and my families worries at ease. The nurse care, and the aids, especially Raimonde, and all that were involved, to many names to remember, but in my heart, and a special thanks to Sharon, one of his nurses, made my dads stay as comfortable as possible. I am truly grateful for the comfort, smiles and support given to me. A shout out to Corey at food service who always with his bigger than life smile and personality made me smile, laugh and forget even for a precious minute, was so appreciated. My review would not be complete without a mention to Frank in the Lobby, who with his sincerity and caring nature for not just myself, my family, but to everyone who came across his desk when he was working, was truly a support to my every entry and departure from the hospital. Thank you all, and thank you for all the prays.

I had a great experience hear. I want to recognize Andrew the nursing assistant in the ER. He was super pleasant and went above and beyond to accomandate me. This hospital needs more Andrews.

How do you make an appointment for someone and not see them at that time? This hospital wastes your time by having you sit your day away waiting for hell to freeze over before you get seen.

The medical service was ok but the billing experience is the worst of all my life. They send my account to collections after they got paid by my Insurance company in a timely manner. They did not even send me a bill to say you have an open balance, the stupid morons sent my accounts to collections. I've call many times to straight this out with Lawrence hospital but they don't do anything when I request to speak to a supervisor they promised me to fix the problem with my account but nothing is being done. Even the reps from my insurance company has call them and nothing is been done. This is been ongoing since January 2015.

It would have been 5 stars, but the wait time from ER to Admission was more than 8 hours. However, the staff in the ER and Floors 3 and 5 were phenomenal. My mom received care from kind, professional, fun and loving staff members. Thank you all for taking great care of my mom.

This hospital is a lazy hospital with very bad security. My father was very sick one day, So when he got to the hospital, he was cry for help on the floor on his knees. Then I also visited my father one day when he finally got help. He had to get sugary that day. He had sugary and was in recovery and I didn't get any notification about him being in recovery. So I was in the hospital hoping my father was ok 6 HOURS STRAIGHT. Now it has been 4 days after he had sugary, still not feeling better at all, but they want him out of the hospital now. He is barley talking or moving. But you want him to go home?!?!?! Who ever is reading this should follow and comprehend with everything that is being said in this text. If you go to this hospital, you will wish you never did. ( BTW: I was born in this hospital 13 years ago, the disappointment I have for this hospital in unbelievable) (P.S.- me being 13 and being able to just walk by the security guard without saying a word should really say something)
