This place is truly incredible. I could spend open to close here. Its beautifully maintained considering how many people tramp through to see it. Its cool because they studyand save animals here. Everyone ive ever encountered here had a cheery disposition while at work. They let you see the seals out front and back for free.

Such a great Boston activity! With out going in you can still see some harbor seals from the front. The location is beautiful right on the water. They have a pet the charms and stingrays exhibit which gives you a chance to get close and personal with the animals. The penguins are so cute and the big tank makes you feel like you're diving into a giant reef!

Admission is expensive but you'll be supporting a great cause. Parking is really expensive and you're supporting nothing. But the displays at the aquarium will not disappoint and finding your way around is easy. If I lived in the area, I would get a membership.

The kids absolutely loved it. It is clearly not the newest one but really well maintained. It is built around one huge tank and that is super visual and entertaining. The favorites for us though were penguins.

An incredible place! From the Penguins to the Sea Lions, to the famed giant turtle, Myrtle, this is one of the best aquariums in the world. There are hands-on exhibits for kids, as well as plenty of information for adults. It is an experience which is both fun and educational.

What we saw of it looked good. It looked clean and the animals looked well taken care of. Unfortunately we only stayed 30 minutes because it was so over crowded that my family could not see or enjoy the exhibits. We were disappointed especially when we paid 24 dollars a person and 33 dollars for parking to be crowded out after only a half hour. It seems very dangerous to have a space so crowded.

Not as good as Monterey aquarium but still up there with the best. Lots of different penguin displays and cool seahorses sea dragons. A huge central tank with divers feeding the fish. Also hammerhead sharks and stingrays. A great touch tank which children and adults enjoyed touching the rays as they swam past. Also a sea lion show and outdoor area. We ate a good meal in the restaurant too.

Great aquarium with lots to see including a ray petting area. I must say rays are pretty cute in that they actually swim up to you to pet. They also have a really neat thing with an electric eel. They also show cute documentaries on sea life that are each an hour long.
My only issue is that the cafeteria is pretty disgusting so recommend eating somewhere near by instead.

We went on a pretty quiet Tuesday which helped, but we were impressed with how they turned the entire facility into a one-way "go with the current" approach but it didn't seem to take away from the experience. Two caveats I'd like to throw out to help with planning your trip: 1) plan to pay for parking. Without onsite parking, you're forced to feed the meter or pay for a garage, the later will run you $40ish dollars which, as long as you take advantage of the area doesn't feel too bad, but is pretty steep if you just plan on only visiting the aquarium (we made a day of it with Quincy Market, the Freedom Trail, several small parks, and dinner). 2) they have a no readmittance policy which normally might not be an issue but during COVID the cafeteria is closed so eating with hungry kids (or adults for that matter) is tricky. We didn't block our time appropriately and would have come later and well fed had we known that. At any rate, we all had a lovely time and the experience was unique compared to other large aquariums which made it very worth it.

For the French: Very far from that of La Rochelle, the originality of this aquarium is especially its central basin which must be the height of 3 floors, and that we see while climbing a circular ramp that goes around. Do not forget that you can take a ti cket aquarium and whale combo, and after an hour and a half of boats you arrive at the whale site, you stay there for an hour and this is especially not to be missed.

This is a fun place with the dolphin shows. The layout is cool in that you can circle all the way up at the central aquarium, & you can walk to all the exhibits on each floor on the way down or vice versa. I ve been to this aquarium several times when hosting family, & we all enjoy it!

Top notch aquarium. I recommend working your way up around the outside, the head down along the reef tank. Four stars because I'd like to see more informative signs for the invertebrates in the tanks.

This aquarium is well organized and informative. I can t say it s a must visit for all adults but for the ones with children, this place will keep your kids entertained. The fur seals presentation is awesome! The penguin tanks were cool too. I ve heard the IMAX show on turtles is worth seeing too so maybe I ll catch that next time.

We are members, and we visit frequently. My three year old is already learning the names and behaviors of specific fish and creatures, and about marine ecology! It is so enriching and fun!

Many different animals, very well organized. There is no feeling that animals suffer or live as in a prison. The place is also suitable for visiting children - they will surely be delighted, especially from the pool with water turtles at a nose distance from you :)

Really, really informative and friendly staff. We like the cuttlefish and watching Myrtle, Caroline, and Retread in the big tank. If the touch tank isn't crowded, there is a cute zebra shark who will occasionally pop up to say hi. The IMAX movies are fantastic. FYI the Galpagos film involves close-ups of spiders!

Extremely crowded and expensive at $27/ticket. Only go during non-peak times!

One of the must visit place in Boston, great collection of fish. They have multiple events during the day including seal training, penguin feeding. The big is the highlight of course the big tank in the middle that is three floors tall. I took my parents when they visited they had really good time.
They have parking, and cafeteria so take a break and continue. Gift shop is a bit on the expensive side.
