We went on a pretty quiet Tuesday which helped, but we were impressed with how they turned the entire facility into a one-way "go with the current" approach but it didn't seem to take away from the experience. Two caveats I'd like to throw out to help with planning your trip: 1) plan to pay for parking. Without onsite parking, you're forced to feed the meter or pay for a garage, the later will run you $40ish dollars which, as long as you take advantage of the area doesn't feel too bad, but is pretty steep if you just plan on only visiting the aquarium (we made a day of it with Quincy Market, the Freedom Trail, several small parks, and dinner). 2) they have a no readmittance policy which normally might not be an issue but during COVID the cafeteria is closed so eating with hungry kids (or adults for that matter) is tricky. We didn't block our time appropriately and would have come later and well fed had we known that. At any rate, we all had a lovely time and the experience was unique compared to other large aquariums which made it very worth it.
