Not as big as you would expect it to be but they do have a good amount of fish you can view.

Smaller than we thought. Lots of penguins, a seal show outside, and many many tanks inside. There is large central circular tank that spans about 4 floors and is very unique.
Amazing place, lots to see and experience. Great way to spend your morning or afternoon. Spend about 2 hrs going around looking at all the animals. Everyone is in wonderful enclosures and you can tell and treated very well. All the talks and presentations and very educational and fun. Love how concerned they are about climate change and conservation!
Overpriced and not that much to see. Parking alone was $40.
Always a great time for the family! Parking is pricey in Boston, of course...and driving is awful but worth the trip!
They havent changed anything in 15 years. I was very disappointed when I visited on the 4th of July 2018.
Nice place! But if your ever in Nebraska you will need to come to Omaha Nebraska aquarium and zoo you will love it.
Smaller than many aquariums I have been too and can get really crowded during busy times but overall nice to visit .
Charming. For sightseeing, share with the family. Very good experience
One of my favorite places! It's clear the staff love what they are doing.
Really fun for kids and adults. Lots of different fish and two sections to touch manta rays, star fish and more. The giant sea turtle and jellyfish were my favorite part. My kids loved the penguins and it's cool how open it is so you can see the penguins from almost all levels. Definitely worth a visit when in Boston!!!
Nice place, I was there by myself in 2011, now I want to go back and take my kids there
Excellent. Such a wide variety of creatures. It raises awareness of the challenges to preservation....and what we can do to assist in that effort.
Perfect day out with little ones and the staff are lovely and really helpful.
My experience was that.I saw Many things that I liked to see that it was the penguins and the hammerhead sharks and also.I went with my group to play some manta rays that were very soft
Its a very visited place. The line to buy tickets moved fast. Had an amazing time.
Always stop here when in Boston. Always have a good time.
Easy entrance for members but it gets crowded within an hour of opening on the weekends.
Love it. Beautiful collection of exotic fish. If a free parking was available, I'd given a 5 star
A very good place for young and old to see fish and other wildlife. Bring lots of money for parking.
Pretty cool aquarium. Parking near the aquarium is expensive as are tickets in my opinion. They have an awesome sea turtle, lots of penguins, an octopus, a ray touch tank and one with sea stars and sea urchins as well. The staff were friendly and informative.
The aquarium is okay but the living conditions of the animals is quite sad compared to other aquariums. This is really noticed in the stingray exibit, where visible injury's to the rays' flippers and noses is seen.
For the price, not as much to see as other large aquariums. Gets jam packed on the weekends. Expect to pay at least $20 for local parking if you re driving.
An amazing educational experience. Fun for the whole family while saving the world.
My husband and I took our kids ages 3 and 5. We all enjoyed our time spent here. It's a little on the expensive side but most aquariums are to me. My kids enjoyed being able to touch the starfish and watching them feed the penguins. Overall good experience.
This is a great family excursion, but can be expensive, so take advantage of the discount tickets offered through your local library. They entitle you to 50% off the price for up to four tickets. Parking can also take a large bite, so use Spothero, ParkBoston apps or take the T.
Its not as big as i hoped, only took a hr to walk through. But still nice things to see. The parking garage is very expensive and they dont validate.
Good place for kids or adults! Lots of different animals to see, including two separate touchable exhibits. Very enjoyable experience!
The largest aquarium in New England. Good way to kill an afternoon with the kiddos.
Loved the smiling faces on the kids there. Fun day.
Its good but very small, I have been to one in Chicago and its much more amazing than this one.
Wife and I had an amazing time. Seal show, informative lectures at the top of the tank, great gift shop. We spent 3 hours at this aquarium, and even that wasn't enough. Lots of kids running around, and was noisy at times, but that is expected. Everything very clean!
Speedy check in and very easily and safely followed social distancing viewing of all aquarium display
Very very busy when we went if it weren't for how many people where there I probably would give it 5 stars. All the sealife seemed very happy though the few employees I was able to speak to were not very informed on the species, I just wish we could have had a little more time at each exhibition before being pushed to the next. I would recommend going right when they open.
I particularly went to see Freya and Sy the Pacific octopuses they have. They were so active while we were there! (The image is of Sy spread across the glass in the back tank.) Freya did the same thing a few times in the front tank. These were by far the most active and happy seeming octopuses I have ever seen in captivity.
I think the aquarium is really small. It's maybe 3-4 floors and it mainly focuses on a tank in the center. It was very crowded when I went.
Giant, interactive, and full of gems for any age. I go at least once a year for my husband's birthday, and I always learn or see something new each time. They teach you about evolution, physics, biology, animal behaviour, kindness towards animals, environmental responsibility, and global ecosystems. This place is well worth the price of admission.
Great place for kids. Takes about 2 hours to go through, but very good selection of sea life
Such a pretty aquarium with a beautiful center piece tank. They have a few sections where you can touch some of the aquatic life.
A great experience to watch sea life. Children could learn a lot. It also points out to the current climate problems.
Expensive, but great entertainment for the hole date. They valet parking, make sure you park in the right garage. I got a pass from my local library and got in for $10.
Great place to take your kids for sea habitat knowledge tour
This is my 5th aquarium to visit & probably the smallest one. Ive also been snorkeling & scuba diving, so have seen many of these animals up close. If you've never been to an aquarium tho this will be an excellent visit.
So awesome. Kids loved it and so did I. Can't wait to go again.
Lots of great educational fun. "Touch tanks" are thrilling. Spent well over an hour looking at the large central tank due to the large variety of marine life and multi-story viewing.
What a wonderful place to visit. Lots to see, great value and welcoming staff!
Beautiful aquarium! I loved the octopus and the anaconda as well as all the different fish and turtles!!!!! The seals and penguins are so cute!
It was such a treat to see the penguins! The Aquarium did a great job with crowd control during the COVID-19 times. Limit of 60 people at a time and you have to reserve a time in order to get there. The layout and pace of each exhibit was great. Little sad that I couldn't touch the star fish or sting Ray's but that's reasonable due to covid.
Just amazing, so many fishes. Awesome experience of touching starfish. A must visit for kids and adults!
Really good aquarium. It did not have a walk through tunnel as was shown on online research.
Always a great experience coming hear. Before you even enter, you can see some seals in their rocky tank. The first floor is almost totally devoted to various penguins. In the center of the building is a cylindrical aquarium that goes up to the top floor. It's open at the top, and you can see the various fish and turtles being fed by divers a couple of times a day. Around the tank on each floor are exhibits of electric eels, starfish, jellyfish, piranhas, snails, and all sorts of other sea life.
There are two touch-tank exhibits, one featuring local waterlife (starfish, horseshoe crabs, and the like), and the other featuring sharks and sting rays. There's a large seal/sea lion training and exhibition space outdoors with a few great shows daily.
Admission is a little steep, but you can often score passes at a local library good for $10 off per ticket (check the library websites). There's a cafeteria on site, as well as locker rentals. You can probably see everything in about 4 hours.
To get the most out of your visit, plan ahead to ensure that you catch all of the shows you want. BUY YOUR TICKETS ONLINE IF YOU CAN. This allows you to skip the ticket line, and they'll just scan your ticket at the door, straight from your phone. There are a few quiet and dim spots around to sit and decompress if needed (right near the jellyfish exhibit, for example).
We really enjoyed going to the aquarium after the Whale Watching excursion. Many wonderful species to see. I loved seeing so many different kinds of penguins. It's a cool place to see.
Great place if you want to learn about sea life or just look at the cool animals.
Really cool architectural design I enjoyed the building itself almost as much as the exhibits. The saltwater coral tank there has so many fish it is mesmerizing to watch all the colorful fish swirl together. Really liked the way it all wrapped around the penguins.
Good variety. The octopus is awesome, and the dragons too. But the space is very thigt, is difficult to move, very very crowded
It was a fun place to go with the kids. But alittle disappointed it only took an hour to walk around and look at everything. So I was expecting more but still ok place to go with the kids.
Very nice place but very expensive adults $32, kids $22 parking $40
Very nice aquarium. A bit small for an area as big as "New England". I expected to spend a little more time there. We enjoyed the multi-level tank and some of the more exotic displays. It was my first octopus. I expected more sharks, although the poll taker explained the lack of sharks.
You can hang out with the seals just outside the main door at night, when it's closed, for free
