i've only been here for a couple of concerts but it's already one of my favorite venues in town! it's pretty small, but this offers a lot of interaction between the audience and performer, which is cool. despite my terrible-quality photos, you can see how nice the lighting setup has been in the past. i support this place 100%

Great sound, nice intimate setting. I really enjoy having the bar area upstairs parllel to stage. Biggest downside is the bar. Small. Be prepared to wait a good while in line.
Was there for a concert. Pros: large space (depends on the size of the crowd, but it seemed large); cheap drinks for a music venue. Cons: mediocre music equipment, messy bathroom.
A friend and I attended a rock show at this venue. Aside from difficulty getting tickets due to miscommunication at the beginning, I enjoyed the awesome bar service and the general vibe.
I wasn't planning on making memories at Neumos, but it happened. What could have been just another event became magical. Serious shout-out to Lauren and Ryan for taking time.
Once you get in its an excellent two story venue. Long lines though, even for ticketed events. Spent an hour plus in the cold outside on more than one occasion. But it's worth it.
Saw some of my favorite bluegrass bands here the other night, it was great because its small and intimate. The upper level was closed so it was way crowded. Tickets were cheap. ($17) The bar is super small and it takes a while to get a drink, so i suggest prefunk/byo. The night I came here i had just worked 13 hrs on my feet and wished to god there had been a chair anywhere in the venue, but no such luck! Standing only, no tables or chairs. I survived 2 bands by staying front stage right and dancing all night. Super fun.
I came here for the Half the Animal/Flor/Atlas Genius show. There is a lot of space and I had fun dancing to the bands, but it was the concert goers that made it good, not the space itself. The upside is you can head upstairs to grab drinks and seat yourself on a stool to watch shows from the second floor. The downside is that the acoustics and balance were pretty terrible no matter where I sat. You could barely hear the vocals of any of the bands and the reverberation of the drums and bass were not my favorite. It made the music sound convoluted instead of clean. Maybe it was just a bad night for the sound guys - who knows - but it's not my favorite concert venue in Seattle.
Most considerate and professional security crew I've ever encountered. Much respect for a friendly AND efficient crew!! Amazing! Thank you all for great night out! And the sound here since the remodel has only gotten better, one of my favorite spaces in the city to see and hear shows!
Nice people and not too pushy of a crowd when we went. We've gone to a couple different concerts there and they've all been good. Upstairs is bar area with more space and downstairs is the all ages dancefloor. Only downside was the sound systems when we've went, it's been loud without a lot of clarity or fidelity
Saw a show there recently, the bouncers were extremely macho & jumped over the railing to grab a middle aged man violently for accidentally bringing a beer into the all ages part of the show, nearly knocking me over and hitting my legs hard with the railing, and did not apologize whatsoever. The rest of the staff was very nice, and the show was great. But I was very disturbed on how the bouncers chose to act, and I could hear others complaining about it as well. Not sure if I d go back if it s the same atmosphere.
My first time there was a lot of fun. My friend and I were there for a pride event with a few of our favorite Queens. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The music was great to dance to. The drinks were reasonably priced and the bar tenders are fun. I had a great experience and will definitely be returning. Thanks Nemos!
Absolutely love this venue. It's right downtown with easy access to a hot dog stand for those late nights. It's very intimate and the speakers are so loud they'll make your ears bleed. Don't worry, they sell earplugs at any of the multiple bars. Get ready to have a night you won't forget!
My friends got 86 d for vaping. Okay, I didn t, so I left with them. We are outside of the venue and this short red head starts filming us. I go over and politely ask not to be filmed or at least do not film my face. The little feminist fire cracker starts shouting you shouldnt corner woman like this against a wall !
First off she made me feel like I was some sort of predator. Are we not allowed discuss issues like adults anymore without you immediately coming to conclusions? Secondly I was on the other side of the side walk trying to have a civil discussion and she immediately starts trying to make accusations and cause a scene and walked back into the wall... Thirdly. She was security . If something dangerous was to actually happen people would not be safe here because she immediately tried to seek the males assistance when she perceived danger.
This place is not safe, not professional, has rude staff, extremely expensive, and is barely big enough to have a performer.
I loved it here. Had the best night of my life here going to Medasin. The concert I went to was all ages, which I thought would be weird, but it wasnt at all. The intimate setting (because the venue is so small) really made it easier to dance because we weren't all spaced out (which would make me kind of self conscious to be honest). They dont let you bring outside food or drink (even unopened waterbottles) but give complementary water. They let me bring in my clear backpack as well as my kaleidoscope goggles. I got overheated a few times, and surprisingly they let me leave and come back in. I think this is my favorite venue so far. Haven't checked out the bar so I have nothing to say about that.
I've been here for plenty of shows and dance parties. Kudos to whomever their music director is as they pull in solid talent. Their bathrooms are marked off for "human" use, which the locals have figured out to share applicably. I've dinged them a star as they do a practice other clubs will do, which is a huge pet peeve of mine. Early in the evening, they will purposely let people in extremely slowly to purposely build up the line outside and generate curiosity from sidewalk traffic. Then you get inside, and it will be practically empty. Q, Grimm's, Trinity, and Foundation have also been guilty of the same practice.
The show I saw was amazing but the staff was kind of eh. The bouncer spent the longest time looking over my ID because it's out of state and I haven't changed it. I felt completely unwelcome and accused of having a fake id. I am near 30, seriously?
This is the worst Venue I have ever been to. The sound sucks, the place is very small. From upstairs you cant even see the stage. at least the night we were there.
The sound was so loud and distorted that many people tried to tell the sound man to turn it down but he wouldn't have it. Tone deaf sound man. Great.
I've never seen a bad show here, and that honestly feels pretty significant in a city with a dwindling number of decent venues. I've seen a lot of shows here, and have not had even one disappointing experience. Their audio and lighting are both always well done, easily putting places like El Corazon to shame. From what I've seen in my years of attending shows, Neumos staff have always been well trained to handle situations and enforce a safe, yet laid back and enjoyable ambience. I think I can confidently say Neumo's is a much more enjoyable venue than The Showbox SODO, and I'm sure people would even argue they like it more than The Showbox. Long story short, Neumo's is one of the few remaining good venues to see fun mid-sized shows at.
Nuemos hosts great bands. Everything from the ticket booth to the security is fine, but when it comes to seeing the band, you might find that seeing them does not necessarily mean hearing. Everything seems to be turned up to 11, which sounds like a wonderful thing, but good luck discerning between two guitar parts, for everything blends into a wall of sound. Get the sound guy some new ears and then you'll have a fine venue
