They have rude, condescending, dismissive, and snobby employees ESPECIALLY at their perfume and make up section. I can't stand their horrible customer service at that store (especially in those departments). I was trying to buy things I wanted through that store, so the store and their employees could get the credit, BUT FORGET IT. After many times of RUDE and DISMISSIVE encounters, I had enough of those people. Now I'm ordering things online, so I don't need to deal with them. Two thumbs DOWN.

I have had very great experiences in this store, especially with Angela H. from the Fragrance department/Chanel booth specifically. She has helped me with so many items, and her customer service is impeccable. Go in, talk to Angela about whatever it is you need, she will help you beyond fragrances and you will leave happy and look forward to your next visit with her.

Shoe department is one of the best and most varied in the East Bay, with wonderful sales people, attentive without being pushy, and good fun. One of the few locales for luxury children's goods (if that is your thing) Clothing options a bit thin (literally and figuratively)

I always have an enjoyable experience browsing for treasures and delights here. Customer service is very good and I appreciate the special events and customer incentives from time to time. Valet parking makes it easy to load up on the good stuff!

Much smaller than the Union Square location with not as much high end luxury branch merchandise or accessories. It's more casual here in terms of attitude and style. The sales staff is super friendly and helpful. Every department you walk into there is always a sales associate coming up and asking "Hi, do you need help?" within seconds.

One of the best things about this location is the luxurious, separate diaper changing area outside of the women's restroom. It's the nicest, cleanest looking one I have ever seen and experienced. It's open, no door. Unisex - for both sexes to change a diaper if required. Very soothing in neutral, muted pewter tones.

Kari gave me wonderful customer service. She helped me find items, looked up items online via an iPad that I inquired about that weren't in the store, and found help for me with a return vs. exchange issue. Kari was great!

Thank goodness for the team in the men s shoe department! I had ordered a pair of shoes from another store, and they were delivered in the mail with scuff marks. Luckily the team was able to find me a new pair and have them shipped in under a week. Great service!

this store is the worst and all levels. they should fire everyone who works there top to bottom. This branch gives NM a bad mark on the company. obviously doesn't CARE at ALL. MAYBE ready to retire ? who knows i give up on trying to shop at ugly and and excuse for a high end department store! Anna Wintour should not associate Vogue with them anymore.

The year of 2020 started off well for me with Neiman Marcus. I used the curbside pickup to purchase two handbags and a t-shirt. Both my bags had a few issues upon arrival and the t-shirt had no issues. One bag had the NM store tag cut off and put into the dustbag and the other bag included extra hardware that did not belong to the bag. I overlooked these errors as I was thrilled with both bags and was keeping them. The curbside pickup went well with these purchases and the sales associates were very nice over the phone. So far so good, until yesterday. I purchased another bag that upon arrival was not going to work and I decided to go in store to return. When I received the bag, it has some white lint on the suede interior that I really thought nothing about as it was there when I received it and it is lint for heaven sake! The associate accused me of using the bag and said she could not accept a return. She also scolded me that I should have called the store to report the lint. I was mortified and humiliated as I NEVER used this bag, it had the tags attached and I was well within the return period. I protested and she asked a manager in jewelry about the return and I approached them and told them I never used the bag! The bag was ultimately returned but my view of this store is very negative. No apology was given and I left feeling abused! Such bad customer service! I will never patronize Neiman Marcus in store or online again.

Customer service is absolutely disappointing. I came in to buy Jo Malone products and the sales lady (Angela) who helped me convinced me to buy Cle de Peau products after a very convincing demo. I ended up buying 5 Cle de Peau items (2 make up, 3 facial products). Unfortunately, after using 2 of the facial products twice, I ended up developing a nasty rash. I had to take them back. Sadly, life takes over you so I totally forgot to call them until 3 weeks post-purchase. When I called and spoke to Angela, she said no way they would take them back and that I should have known immediately (and not within 3 weeks) that I reacted badly to them. Well, had she listened to what I was saying on the phone, she would have understood that I DID NOT USE THE PRODUCTS IMMEDIATELY after buying them and that I totally forgot to call them sooner because work had been keeping me extremely busy. No empathy whatsoever and the accusatory tone during our conversation was a total turn off. It wasn t like I was returning all 5, I just needed help with the 2!!!! Well, NEVER AGAIN will I shop here. I will continue to shop at Nordstrom.

Last week I was shopping at Neiman Marcus in Walnut Creek for a gift (perfume) for my best friend and was VERY disappointed with the customer service I received. A salesperson, Elizabeth (I believe was her name) asked me how she could help me. This was the END of customer service. I was not familiar with the Sesley line and wanted to get more information about their products. Elizabeth had no interest in providing me any more additional information than I asked her. Any information I received, I had to pull out of her. At some point I asked her if she knows about this line. She said "yes", but continued to look at me with a blank face, and still would not volunteer any additional information... Finally, I gave up on pulling info out of her and just bought what I came for. Then I wanted to try a new perfume for myself and possibly buy it. For one of the brands, they did not have a tester and for the second one, the tester was empty. I asked Elizabeth if it was possible to 'make' a tester and got a "No" in return. I left the store with a huge disappointment. After my trip to the store I went online and saw that NM offers a complimentary tote with any fragrance purchase over $100. I spent over $300 and received NO tote. This is not the customer service experience I have come to expect from NM and will think twice before I do any more shopping there in the future.

We dressed casually and no one would greet us or even help us, but we still bought a $1500 suit as we needed it. And it took 3 trips to finally get out new suit, because the manager kept giving us a dirty suit even though we bought it new. No apologies ever given, and we were demanded to pick up the suit. Will never ever shop here, this is so sad.
