Wow. What a waste land. Next time, I will drive in from Lexington.
Nice airport and friendly employees. Clean bathrooms and lots of parking.
Terrible lay out. Don't go here if you want a stress free flight.
Great airport arrive an hour and a half early if you're checking a bag one hour early if you're not
Small airport, easy to navigate. If parking, use long term. There is usually no wait for TSA precheck. The delta sky club here is pretty large and they have ICE CREAM.
There is usually plenty of seating in gate areas along with outlets for charging.
Wish there were more direct flight options.
Update 19 Jun 2018: they ve added the video boards to track tram, although I m not sure how accurate they are.
Landed after 11 pm. Both trams were running! Clean, bright. Lots of Delta employees around to direct you.
It is a long walk to get to the baggage claim area so be warned with comfortable shoes
Nobody does it better. Even under construction you guys make it so easy. THANK YOU!
I love flying out of CVG. They typically have nonstop delta flights and getting through security is fast, safe and friendly.
Average American airport. There are dozens of them. It is largely intended for cargo planes, which means that the entire southern airport apron is occupied by them. Passenger terminals, on the other hand, are very spacious and interesting.
Very excellent airport. Lots of restaurants and stores. Great views to watch planes while you eat and charge your phone.
Awesome Delta terminal. Big space, really good organization.
I've been to 38 states and atleast 25 major airports around the country, CVG is one of my more favorite airport I've been to: it's small, friendly, dynamic, and easy to navitgate through unlike some of the major cities I've been to with huge airports such as Miami's in FL or SeaTac in WA state.
Nice airport... There was no coca cola products in the market store for sale. So, I had to walk to the vending machines as t the other end of the concourse.
There wasn't a smoking section!! Why? It's so easy. They need to follow tampa's lead
I flew to Florida with the whole family. 10 of us in all. I felt the airport flying experience was extremely seamless. Very clean. We checked in and got thru the gate and to our boarding area very fast. Overall a great airport to fly out of.
Airport is small and easy to get around. Expanding which is great for Cincinnati. But that also comes with responsibility. Invest in and fix your carousels in baggage claim. 8 airlines for the two only carousels that work, is ridiculous.
Nice, modern airport. My only complaints is that it is the passenger terminals are WAY TOO large for its current or foreseeable future needs. That means you are going to have some distance between you and your gate. Good for exercise, TSA, bad for time.
I understand Delta left it's hub status here, but CVG won't need more gates in my lifetime and I'm not that old. Now cargo is a different story. This is a BIG cargo airport so the need for the numerous runways is obvious.
Oh and yes they have free internet (using it now), you just.have to provide feedback FIRST before logging in, but hey it helps them plan I'm sure and it's free.
Excellent I recommend always have excellent service!
Very fast and friendly service checking in and out. Firm security and slightly less confusing parking arrangements than most airports.
For my first flight ever, I was very relieved to fly out of an airport that made everything so easy. From clear signage upon driving in, to the shuttle pulling up next to our vehicle, to curbsude baggage checking, to the efficient security check - it was all so seamless. I thought the eating and shopping options were slightly limited, but that's not why you go to an airport. It was very clean and everyone was friendly and helpful. Thanks for a great experience!
Lounge area at food court is great but food supply is bad. No regular meal service except breakfast menus before 10:30 am. Outback Steakhouse is closed until then.
One of the better airports... named best airport 6 years in a row. Mid size and easy to get around. Also has a subway train that runs from Terminal and both Concourses.
The easiest to use airport I've been using in a while. Plenty of room, restaurants, outlets for recharging, interesting historical artifacts and clean restrooms. So easy to get around and the security lines were short . I love this airport.
Beautiful airport that nicely designed to get you in and out. I've heard complaints about how the parking for arrivals is run but people need to understand this. If you plan to pull up directly to the terminal to pick up someone,..that allowed park and idle is for when your passenger is already outside and waiting for you. You will not be allowed to sit there until they come out.
I wasn't expecting much from CVG, but I was really impressed after travelling to Cincinnati for a quick business trip.
There were long lines at both the Delta counter and for TSA screening. They moved quickly, though, due to being adequately staffed. Lots of seats at each gate, and plenty of shops and eateries to find food or souvenirs.
Horrible!!!cvg is pathetic.. the podunk tsa jerk offs can't figure it out, management should be fired ,absolutely terrible Use a better city if you can. Expensive, ridiculously slow and often delayed.
Really easy to figure out. I've been in large and small airports in the past and this one is smaller but still easy to use. Directions are very clear and there are help stations if you need them. If you have checked baggage it is pretty easy to find the luggage carousel as well, and it's right next to the passenger pickup only a few steps away.
Usually a good quick airport to fly in and out of but they are not very together for international arrivals going through the security process at the end. There are misleading and vague signs and an annoyed employee yelling incomplete instructions at people. Some signs instructing arriving passengers going to another flight or exiting the airport would be really helpful. Other airports around the world do this successfully for international passengers!
Took forever to get bags. How can you be so bad at something you handle 24/7?
Baggage claim was more complicated than it needed to be. And definitely took longer than a lot of other airports.
Very quick process, only negative comment would be a few of the security officers were rude in how they told passengers where to go..Kindness goes far beyond a mean countenance.
The parking garage does not have the elevator s working. They were not working when we left and after a long trip they were out of order and valet service not available. I have arthritis and going up those steps was more than I could do with suitcases
With the introduction of greatly expanded Frontier flights, new Allegiant routes, and the introduction of Southwest and WOW Air, a lot has changed since I first reviewed CVG a year ago. The airport has gotten a lot better, and flight prices are dropping because of the increased competition. Passengers flying through right now should be aware of the construction around baggage claim, but's a minor and temporary inconvenience. The airport still feels bland and uninspired, architecturally, but it's an easy experience. Getting to your gate takes awhile because of the remote terminal layout you'll have to walk awhile through a tunnel, or take a train but the logistical advantages of that with quicker taxi and take-off outweigh that slight upfront inconvenience. If you want to avoid paying for parking or a taxi/Uber/Lyft, there is a bus that runs from downtown Cincinnati to the airport (and back) for $2. Make sure you have exact change.
We were supposed to to fly out with Frontier for a family vacation. Got all the way through security waiting to get on the plane and with 30 min until load time they cancel it. No reason. No one offered help. Only reference they could give us was a piece of paper explaining how to get a refund. No other business could survive operating like this!!!!! We were told to go online to rebook or ask each flight counter. Can't talk to anyone in person anymore? Customer service is gone ... They all acted like it wasn't a big deal or their problem instead of trying to help with a solution.
Had no issues, 6:00 am flight, made it through security in about 15 minutes
Abysmal for those needing assistance. No carts for those needing assistance and they send you to a wheelchair assistance area to be taken to your gate...they don t even have someone meet them at airline check in. If I wouldn t have been with her to help with her walker and oxygen tank, I m not even sure what she would have done. Also, they have no special parking after you drop them off at terminal, so I had to park pretty far away and run to go back and get her. You can do better Cincinnati...very disappointing.
What a fresh breath of air in reference to airport cleanliness and navigation. This airport was extremely easy to navigate through to get to connecting gates. I was able to smoothly get through US customs from Paris, France with no issues. The airport is nice clean and straight to the point. They have little shopping places and eatery s such as Starbucks, Outback, McDonalds, Chick-fil-A, a chili cheese place, bagels and a spaghetti place in Concourse B. The staff throughout the airport are very nice and inviting.
Up until a few years ago I would of given CVG a 1 star because it only catered to the upper class, all of us middle class people in the tri state could not afford to fly out of CVG and were forced to either go to IND, CMH or DAY and in some cases get on a flight that would connect back at CVG but for half the price never made much sense , However now that Delta took a back seat and we are getting more and more competitive priced airlines my family of Four can afford to fly out of our local airport a few times a year for vacations So glad those days are past us.
Getting in and out was pretty easy, the airport was almost deserted for some reason. Had some issues with the rental car company, but that's a review for another day.
Always smooth and efficient service whenever I travel.
The airport, specifically the Delta terminal, needs to have carts for customers that will hold bags for a family. None available only skycaps have carts which may not use .
On the other hand, the wheel chair team leader was y very nice and helpful! (Not w bags)
Everyone I delt with was nice and informative. I would fly out of this airport again.
Relatively clean Airport with relatively polite personal. Those antique cars are amazing
Solid airport. Never experience any real issues. Fly in/out of here often. Good mix of flight offerings, not too big or busy.
I love traveling so I m often at CVG. The airport is always clean and the COVID precautions are great. I didn t see many people wearing their masks incorrectly, nose out, so that definitely made me feel safer. The TSA agents were informative, quick, and nice. Check in was a breeze even checking a firearm. Great location!
I have always had a nice experience when coming to this airport. The variety of food and plenty of gift shops. I have been in worst airports I do travel a lot and this is one of my favorites
The airport is big and generally kept very clean. We ve gone through here a few times as we ve travelled to Michigan. The airport has a shuttle train, make sure to use it as you have to travel to your gate at the end of the corridors. We walked it once with our kids and it s a super long walk.
You have to shuttle to rental cars and such, but we have always found that helpful and easy. The airport employees and TSA have always been pleasant.
Its the only place in Boone county that has jumbo jets for sale at a reasonable price!
Took over 1.5 hours after we landed to get someone to taxi us in and get our luggage loaded. Ridiculous
What can I say, this is my airport. I have began and ended many journeys around the world from CVG. I was there when it was a major international player (passenger wise) and have seen it grow, shrink to become what it is today and hopefully what it will be tomorrow. Many memories and time spent here were in areas now gone forever, but I would say it's currently better than ever in my opinion, very user friendly and new (well mostly remodeled). I say this not just because I know the airport, airspace and tri-state area all too well, but on a consumer level, it's ideal for many reasons. As a customer my only annoyance is arriving from CDG (Paris) and having to pass through TSA as passport control dumps out between the concourses and not into a baggage reclaim / exit area. Not exactly what people feel like doing after a long flight and especially if one does not require a onward connection, but is simply exiting the airport. Though to be honest I'm not sure if this a current federal requirement or just non-ideal planning. I always stop at Gold Star Chili when able and I would recommend it, no matter if you are from the area or from out of town. Let's hope the current airport administrators / bored of directors and the county keep up the good work and decision making! Fly to / from or through CVG I'd say.
Great airport very clean never too busy and always a good deal for Kentucky especially
Very friendly staff & very very nice all facilities, travelled frequently from this airport since 9 years, never had any problems or difficulties, really appreciate all staffs.
Great experience from the hotel shuttle, American check in, TSA, and waiting areas. Enjoyed the prehistoric displays.
Fantastic Service - From the Airport Shuttle to the Front Desk at Payless Car Rental
I love the CVG airport. You can be in and through security in less than 10 minutes for almost the entire day. It's big enough that you've got a decent selection of food options, but small enough to where it's not overcrowded. With the amount of carriers now flying in and out of Cincinnati it's only going to get better.
As a local I use this airport about once a month for business travel. Its a very nice facility, but the airfare out of here is just criminal. My main route has me flying to Minneapolis and no matter how far in advance I booked, the lowest price I have paid in the last year for a direct flight (any connection takes me the opposite way to Philly or Atlanta) is $1200. I'd rather drive to Dayton, skip the long journey to the gate and pay a whole lot less.
Very good.... Agent was truly nice and.helpful...I needed wheel chair service and they were there within ,5 minutes and very Friendly
Terminal is laid out nicely. Easy on and off from interstate 275.
Was able to get to the airport, get through security and make it to our gate within 40 minutes! That can't be said at many other airports!
If u come here directly from other international place then you find very easy process of immigration compare to other airport of us
Easy in, easy out. Very tight departure drop-off area.
Beautiful airport. I bought a bottle of Gatorade and it was only like $2!!!!
I was there in the spring of 2018 my layover flight between NY and SA. Left me a very nice impression due of the natural lights on corridors until gateways board. Also is quite and has good places to eat a bit
Not the worst ever. Flight was good, and on time. Little time we spent in the airport it seemed clean and roomie. Didnt have a bag checked so cant comment on that. Only thing that was a little annoying was the rental cars have 3 in one so its a pain and time consuming.
