Ensign Systems

We visited Ensign to receive training on their software. We were immediately made to feel very welcome by Alex and the team and the training was very helpful in helping understand their mechanical estimating software. I would highly recommend visiting for any sort of help you require.

We moved away from our long standing Estimating software which we had used for many years to use ENSIGN and I can honestly say we should of done this years ago!! It is really good and reliable with superb customer support. The user interface is very straight foward accomodating may different aspects of estimating in several ways that can be tailored to suit the individuals way of quoting. Its refreshing and modern appearance just makes the job easier in so many ways. If you want estimating software this is the real deal!! Well done Matt Locke and all his team great stuff!!

I started using the Ensign system a few years ago, the training was quick and easy and soon i was running the quotes alone with the system very easily. I have no computer background at all and though very nervous at first i soon got very confident. Our business has swelled enormously and our quotes are quick and tidy, we could not now run our sales team without it, if you haven't got it,welcome to the next generation !!!

Alex was very profesional and patient on my first training session with Ensign. I found it very helpful and efficient way to tender for jobs instead of using excel spreadsheets.

We have recently signed up with Ensign and the software and service has been excellent. From the initial demonstration and setting up of the software through to completing our first full take off the process has been superb. The training and support has been easy to access and follow, likewise the software itself is laid out in a format that is clear to follow, even for novices like us!

Excellent estimating software, which has cut our take-off and estimating time at least in half. The support also is five stars, as there is always someone available to help you there and then. Signed up to the Ensign LT software 3 days ago. Started using the software immediately with no training and was able to easily figure out how to use the software. Completed some training today and was giving some handy tips. Software is very easy to use, provides great reports and print outs of marked up drawings etc for filing away. Keep up the good work Ensign.

Excellent customer service, and very detailed training from Alex who I dealt with. I have only been using the software for a few weeks now, but I don't see myself going back to using an excel sheet now I have Ensign Estimating and PDF take off at my disposal.

Excellent software and even better service. I ve caused them a lot of trouble getting everything running just the way I want it, but whatever the request they just got on with. They seem to truly believe the customer is always right.

I have been using the mechanical pdf take off and estimating package on and off for about a year. The last three months I have used it pretty much constantly. It is a great bit of software, but does have it's limitations. The support is second to none, and I have always had problems solved promptly. We have found some of the default labor norms to be a little off mark on some items, but these are easily changed as you go. The database of items is fantastic, but not totally comprehensive. That said, the team are always happy to add items requested in subsequent price updates. I have two major issues already highlighted to the team. First is the ability (or lack thereof) to re-structure the estimate sections once created. I like to break down my estimates as much as possible so the job is easier to keep track of once it is live. I will invariably have hundreds of sections and subsections on jobs. An example of this is if you have a number of different style apartments. I may have 20 different styles, all with different qty's. Each style will have it's own section so I can use the multiplier to choose how many. You cannot just drag and drop sections like you would do with folders in windows explorer. You have to manually create new sections, then copy the data over before deleting the old empty sections. I've heard rumors they are working on this, but nothing has come of it for some time. The second issue is that sometimes you want to change the size of an item on the estimate. You cannot just change the size, you have to go through the steps of replacing the item completely. There are a small number of items which allow you to change the size via the context menu, but for the bulk, there is not. This would save a lot of time. This is why the review is 4 stars and not 5

I have been working as an electrical estimator for 14 years and used several software's and even excel spreadsheets. After using EES for a few years we changed to Ensign with the PDF take off and what a difference ! Ensign has drastically reduced the speed we can turn estimates around and is packed with excellent features. When coupled with the PDF take off software which means no more drawings to print, measuring/take offs are both much faster and more accurate. The training is very helpful and informative and the support equally good. This is by far the best estimating software we have ever used and is highly recommended.

Best investment in my business I have made, saves us so much time

A very professional delivery of training for the estimating software that they had developed. It covered all expectation and more with personal face to face tutoring from Alex. We learnt more about estimating and how trends have changed. We are very pleased that we can rely on the remote support the company also offers.

Was using a rival estimating package but the support was terrible! So looked for a new estimating system & found Ensign deliver on all counts, great support, very good training & an easy to use estimating package. 10 out of 10, software is fantastic, the best I've used and really user friendly, the support I've had from the Ensign team has been first class, all queries answered immediately, the introduction and training with Alex was great, they offer a fantastic support network. I'd highly recommend.
