Very nice garden with many improvements.
Just a pity that no account is taken of smokers by means of a general smoking ban (was to categorize corners as a smoking area that would not bother anyone.
Have seen a lot of grumpy parents walking their child snarling at nothing XD
Also do not understand why it is always the smoker who has to take into account another instead of a little the other way around.
You won't see me again soon.

It is a pity that many buildings are closed due to the Covid19 period. You also have to pay attention to how you want to walk because of one-way paths. You cannot go back! Parking ticket 15.00 is very expensive.

The animals are locked in very small spaces when they are not outdoors, and obviously a giraffe or an elephant will not go outside when they are in a climate where it is 5 degrees. It is a pity that there are still people who pay to visit a prison and that they take their children and teach them these values

Beautiful zoo but what is this organization doing terribly with its season ticket holders. Verification codes required for registration on My Artis are not being sent, despite multiple attempts. When you call Artis for information, the connection is automatically disconnected after waiting for 6 minutes. Strangely enough, an employee is immediately available if they can sell event space.

Good to know where you stand at Artis as a subscription holder. You lost me.

Been to artis with the savings campaign of the Dekamarkt. It was a very nice day, very warm. The animals were all clearly visible through the beautiful weather. Also nice, the new elephant stay. The elephants were swimming wonderfully. Super fun to see them so busy. They also ate delicious ice cream, because of the weather, they are standing outside of a scoop cart. Was delicious. All in all a super recommendation. Children had great fun and therefore we as parents too.

A lovely zoo in scenic surroundings with plenty of different animals to see. With many of the enclosures you can get quite close to the animals (no touching though - obviously!) and in some areas you can actually walk through the enclosure - there's a jungle habitat that has several Pygmy Marmosets who come right down the trees - very up close and personal!
If you're a visitor to Amsterdam and have purchased an 'I Amsterdam Card' your visit to the zoo will be free. Overall, a lovely way to spend a few hours during an afternoon.

Nice zoo, which seems to get more beautiful every year. Not only for the visitors but also for the animals. Now a very nice bed for the wally bie's where you can "just" walk between.
The butterfly greenhouse was again very beautiful. Many flowers and beautiful butterflies.

Has changed a lot in recent years in a positive way. Little choice of food, no more coke or fanta and children were disappointed. I can only applaud that there are no more PET bottles, but cola, fanta or sprite on tap is also possible and was not there.

Nice park, always on the move new work is being done for the animals. Parking is nearby and the price is right. There are carts available for the children so that they do not have to walk long stretches. In the reptile you literally walk among the animals.

Many different animal species, fun for the kids. Only some animals have too little space! Just take the lions' place to stay .. Those poor animals can only walk back and forth a bit .. This is really impossible!

It remains a small zoo and that is why we have been looking after it after 3 years. The historic details remain beautiful, however, as well as the new stays of the elephants and the jaguars (I hope the lions follow soon, they are really tight). Negatives: the restaurant is only open until 5 pm and they have abolished the children's menu last summer. A strange choice.

Royal Zoo ARTIS Amsterdam, a natural oasis in the heart of the city: old trees, the aquarium, the planetarium and infinite animal species (more than 700). It takes at least half a day to shoot it all. TOP

I doubt between 2 and 3 stars. It was packed. Came because the promotion of DekaMarkt were the last days that the savings card could be returned. Were very poorly supervised in the area for a parking space. Catering was quite a price.

Artis has become very beautiful. Stays are getting better, animals look happier and the park is beautifully green. Elephant Stay is one of the best I've seen (and I'm going to zoos around the world) Step by step they are getting better!

Very beautiful place and a must see if you are in Amsterdam (especially if you purchase the Amsterdam City Card which grants you free entrance to the Artis Zoo)

Totally recommended if you like animals :)

A beautiful zoo you feel closer to live than in the country.
There are special places that you actually go between animals like little monkeys and a few reptiles.
Recommend to go but prepare yourself This is a huge place and a lot to go and the truth is also confusing in its construction.
But go have a great time and pass the time.
Suitable for couples and friends alike.

This zoo doesn t fit in the modern city that Amsterdam pretends to be. The animals have literally zero space to walk around!!! This is not a place for lions and elephants, it all feels like I m in a circus in the 1900 s.

Having annual tickets means we come often to Artis. It's just big enough for a day visit, or for a couple of hours to visit a few attractions. The improvements to the enclosures are good to see and the focus on learning for kids is highly entertaining for young and old. A great day for kids in Amsterdam.

Artis is a great place in several respects. It is a wonderful city park where even very small children can stroll safely, without bicycles, scooters and other iron mobile entertainment. It is an educational garden full of animals for all ages. And it is a wonderful collection of special buildings, each with its own story and history. Go there sometime!
