Beautiful zoo in the middle of Amsterdam! Many animals that you can view, both indoors and outdoors. There is a planetarium, an aquarium, a reptile garden and a butterfly garden :)

Love it! It has a small aquarium, a planetarium and a "butterflies house". The price is reasonable and everything it's well maintained.

Really the best zoo I have ever seen (I admit not to be a zoo expert). Lots of animals with as much as space to grant them a semi-comfortable life. Lots of strange species from all over the world and many many plant species never seen before. A really wonderful experience!

Micropia, the museum of microbes, is located at the entrance of the Artis. It is among one of the best museums to visit in Amsterdam as it is extremely well designed, informative, interactive, etc. Don't leave without taking a picture with the waterbear!

Beautiful zoo,
Despite the cold, all the animals went around in their spaces quietly, the park is very clean and easy to reach by public transport.
Wide variety of animals, to see absolutely butterflies and insects.
Average admission ( 20).

If you could even 10 stars. Spent about 20 apiece but the park is huge and has small animals like elephant insects .. And also marine animals .... Superb !! We entered at 11 and we left at 15 with the doubt of not having seen everything !!

Great fun! A Nostalgic zoo! Animals are all well taken care of and the recent refurbishments bring animals and visitors closer to each other in all ways!

Large variety of animals, not in cages but in enclosures similar to their natural habitats. Restaurants and toilets located at short intervals. Play area for children near giraffe enclosure.

I Gave high rates as is perfect to bring your young kids; safe place and there are playgrounds. But I consider the zoo cages very small overall. I know is a city zoo... Nevertheless...

It is a nice place for spending 2-3 hours. Zoo is good, with limited animals but nothing much for aquarium.

Great zoo, relatively big, with lots of animals all well kept. If you like aquariums, the aquarium building is a must.

Nice place to spend a day! Open space and beautiful lay out. They have a wide range of animals and aquarium as well.
The entrance fee is a bit expensive but it s worth it. Adults fee entrance is 24 and child fee entrance is 20.50.
Lots of restaurants inside with a good price.

Good Voormekaar with the carona rules just a pity that there are also people who do not care about it remains a nice zoo

Nice zoo though not that big. Not big variety of animals.

Always fun to be able to see animals in real life. Artis has greatly improved in expanding the environment of the animals, it is also nice to know that they will continue for a long time. Until then, I still find it difficult to really enjoy.

For a city zoo this is a really nice place to visit. Some of the animal enclosures are rather small though (especially the lions enclosure is really small > I felt sorry for the lions, they cannot even run around).

We love this zoo. We visit on every trip. Lots to see. The aquarium is very good. If you want to eat get in before the rush. We popped in mid afternoon and the wasn't much left but the Apple pie was to die for.

This is my favourite place to go in Amsterdam! I go everytime I come it's not the biggest zoo but there is so much to see and you can get so close to the animals 5*

A great innercity Zoo. Highlights include the Lions, Gorillas and Panthers.

Very few places have penguins kept in open and this is one.

There is everything !! Aquarium, reptile house, the room where you walk among the monkeys, among the birds, then you find the white wolves, elephants, giraffes and much more !!

Nothing really comparable to Blijdorp or Burgers zoo. Lots of small and old stays for the animals. Hadn't been here for more than 20 years and don't think there will be any more in the coming 20 years ..

Very beautiful park. Certainly in spring everything nicely in bloom. Lots of room to sit on and very tidy.

Animals have little space but overall zoo is wel kept. Lots to see and good possibilities to have a drink of snack.

The best Zoo I have ever seen in my life there are all the animals you can imagine, I felt like a child it was extremely fun and very educational.

Artis is top. This place has history, but surprises again during every visit. Always first a tour through the park and then get a tour with one of the volunteers. Then you see things that you would not see otherwise and you hear things that you did not know before.

This is a great place spend a whole day. Go with kids or by yourself and you will enjoy. One of the best animal exhibits I have seen. Try it out man!

Fantastic Zoo, you can really get up close with the animals and they look very happy and well cared for.

We had a super nice family day! The elephants who went into the water to eat were very special, never seen before.

Nice collection of animals, nice accommodations and a nice park. 1 downside and that concerns the price for consumptions. Excessively expensive.

It is artis who it is not there were lots of extra info signs about the plants

Nice zoo. It seems small but once inside you are continuously surprised. Walked around all day and I think I haven't even seen everything. The volunteers who work there are also very enthusiastic and were happy to talk about animals. Highly recommended for a family outing. Only point is. Come by public transport because parking in the city center is more difficult and expensive.

The best Zoo I have ever been to. Animals have large enclosures yet the viewing areas are well thought out to keep you close enough to view comfortably
