Liked it couldn't finish all of it with a lil one,...
Liked it couldn't finish all of it with a lil one, well kept animals, for once the Dutch staff was hospitable too

Loved the zoo. Really like it how close you can get to the animals. They had really good looking habits aswell! Really worth the visit if you go to Amsterdam Citytrip!
The most amazing animals, this zoo takes more than one day to see everything properly. We always visit when in Amsterdam.
animals are dying from inside, they gave up already.
Amazing zoo, one of the best I have ever been to, and it is in the middle of the city!
Zoo is becoming very beautiful is just beautiful so right in the city
Big zoo, lots of animals, and an aquarium with some massive fish, kept us entertained for an afternoon, the giraffes were my favourite. Ice-cream is sold in the zoo and there is a cafe as well.
Some enclosures could be taken care of better, however the zoo is pretty big and you can find many animals, including butterflies!
A very nice and clean zoo!
One of the most beautiful I've seen so far!
It's a great zoo, in the middle of the city centre and with alot of history, nice staff and the animals look healthy.
Artis is so much fun! We really enjoyed ourselves. A close look at all the animals.
Nice large park with several animals that look good
Nice, but .. no fries to find or just a coke. Only left-turned banana juice with bamboo and a straw. Ben tourist, a spa, I'll go to a spa!
Always nice to walk around here. Every time is different.
Great place, with happy-looking animals. The whole thing is well organized and has many individual attractions.
Take your time, it's definitely worth it!
Nice zoo. Looks a bit dated here and there and modern here and there. Spaciously situated in the heart of Amsterdam.
Very pretty zoo with good facilities but I think it's ridiculous to charge me 15 for parking after I've just paid 70 entrance fee for a family of 3.
Cozy beasts. Shame about the exhorbitantly high entrance fee.
I liked the stay at Artis. Also because the animals, despite their zoo life, have a chance to retire. What is unfortunately not paid attention is that people should not beat the letters or shout at the animals. I only saw a few students who were completely ignored. The children are loud, I realize, but in many other zoos more attention is paid to keep them at least a bit in check, as continuous noise is extremely harmful to the animals ... The staff is not just there to clean and feed, that is also one of them.
A fantastic place to visit with a lot of different kind of animals.you need to spend there about 2 hours for a quick view alternative in order to enjoy you need 3 or 4 hours.great cleanes and we've norice that they take care of the animals.a unique place for you and your family!
Compact but excellent zoo that is great for families with kids. Easily accessible as trams stop right outside. We came in for free with the I Amsterdam card. There were live performances with seals and such.
Beautiful this oasis in the middle of the city. You are really in a different world here.
Good zoo, nice planetarium and aquarium. However, black bear and other animals did look distressed at times. Sea lion was awesome tho.
One of the best zoo i have been to in a long time...staff are friendly and are always willing to help and the animals are always kept in good conditions too
Wonderful zoo! We thought it would be something small, but the zoo is huge !! The entrance fee is a bit salty, but it is a very interesting alternative for those with children in Amsterdam. Recommended!
Lovely animal garden friendly staff what nice tells about the animals only the toilet may be better cleaned further top
If you can get past the guilt of it being a zoo, this one appears to be excellent. The animals seem well cared for (but what would we know really? ), the layout is great and the staff are fantastic. We spent four rainy hours with two three year olds here and there was enough in the butterfly house, insect house, tropical house, aquarium etc etc to keep us dry and interested. If I as in Amsterdam again with the kids I'd go back - good value.
A really nice zoo. However for the price of the ticket you would expect to get at least a map for free rather than pay 2 euros. It seems a bit cheap for a royal zoo (?)
Superb zoo in the heart of the city. Welcome, diversity of animals, reptiles, fish and birds! Surprise arrival during the show with the sea lions, a treat!
A very nice walk in this green lung in the city center!
A very large well-kept zoo, where you can spend the whole day with the whole family! Pleased with the abundance and variety of animals, birds, fish! A greenhouse with beautiful butterflies, a dancing porcupine, monkeys, elephants, a trained fur seal! All this will certainly delight both children and adults!
Loved loved this zoo...so much to see and do. Could have easily spent the whole day there. Will visit again next time we come to Amsterdam
Great place for walking. The enclosures in animals are spacious, the enclosures themselves are very well thought out. Some animals and birds can even be without a fence, which makes the visit even more fun. Amused fur seals.
Fine, small, city zoo. Because the park is compact and good use has been made of the space you can see everything in one day and go home with satisfaction
Nice and big animal park. With enough snacks and sandwiches.
Great place, really nice there, the staff are diligent and dedicated to work.
I really enjoyed a great experience there, highly recommend getting there.
Amazing lemur and forest creature exhibit. Let's you walk in open, free range, enclosure.
Really superrrrr. Well cared for animals and a nice, extensive design of the park, there is much to see. You can clearly see from the animals that they are given love and attention. Mammals, insects, the aquarium, nature. More than enough to fill a day.
Nice amount of animals only the living areas are quite small
We have been artis members for the past 5 years. We visit on a monty bases and it is always a joy to be in one of the oldest zoos in the world. Apart from the great historical value for the city it is very well maintained and is very cosy.
Was nice we ate a croquette at the zoo of Artis in Amsterdam jo van oscar jo menj den boer I am on YouTube my channel and Instagram jo share jo jo and tiktok and pintest jo and Google and on Google Maps jo 5 stars from me oscar jo menj den boer keep a distance of 1.50 in the zoo
Hands down one of the best parts of our visit in Amsterdam. I don t know why some people don t like it but I thought it was great! There s big cats, small animals, and even an aquarium! Our favorites were probably the 2 walk throughs for the Wallabies and the lemurs. You can t find that in other zoos unless you pay! Give yourself at least 3 hrs to spend here. Try to catch some of the feedings. We caught the one for the sea lions and it was amazing. They re very well trained and was so fun to watch
Enjoyed walking around the zoo and would recommend to everyone
The area is very impressive. the people who work at Artis are quite motivated. And the welfare of the animals is clearly visible. I would like to come back again.
One of the nicer, not too large zoos of the Netherlands
In my opinion one of the most beautiful zoos in the Netherlands. I like that they have managed to bring the zoo to the present without compromising the history of the zoo. Collection animals is fun and enough information signs are present.
Not bad. Surely we were unlucky because of the rain, so the visit was not the best.
Beautiful nature place in the middle of the city.
Good coffee!
This was by far my favourite place in Amsterdam!!! All the animals had large open spaces with shade, water, privacy and they all looked well loved and taken care of. The information plaques located by each enclosure were informative and written in multiple languages. My 7 year old loved all the facts about the animals!
The zoo was really easy to find, we came by tram and there were a lot of shops and cafes in the area. The zoo was practically across the street from the tram stop!!
We found the zoo to be well layed out with easy to follow signs and we didn't feel like we missed anything! There were plenty of spots to rest and an array of climbing apparatus which were good for the kids!
We weren't expecting it to be so close up in areas, that made the trip even more Amazing, for example: The area with the seals had an underground tunnel with windows to see them swimming round and with interactive screens, there was an enclosure to walk through where there were bat's, lizards and very tiny monkeys all roaming around in the same room and the butterfly enclosure was brilliant as they all fly around you. These features made for a really memorable experience. And the petting zoo was again a really great and unexpected feature with pigs, goats, horses and chickens, we probably spent the most time here as the animals were so tame and friendly which my son really enjoyed.
As to be expected there are long hot queues at the entrance and around some of the enclosures. And the prices in the cafe and gift shop are shockingly high - hopefully at the benefit of the animals!
I would honestly recommend Artis Zoo to anyone of any age.
Bigger cages than before but some animals still need some more room.
A brilliant place to visit with children of all ages.
If you are in Amsterdam, you must visit this place. That's awesome.
Very nice zoo, unfortunately a little twisted. Overall, I really liked it. All of the staff were very friendly. Currently only signposted as a one-way street due to Corona.
Doing well with sustainability, more zoos should do!
This place is Amazing! It is one of a good zoo. Have many animals to see also aquarium. It's kind of open zoo though.
The zoo is good. Being like an animal, it doesn't have some cages. Meaning to do something like Khao Din There are both terrestrial animal zones and aquariums to see many seahorses and coral fish.
The food is not that delicious. The pie doesn't taste like that.
Animals sometimes have little space. Eating and drinking are very expensive. Still nice to look at.
Actually the best Zoo I've ever visited! It's pretty expensive but it really worth the price. Outstanding views from every sides of the area, a lot of space for the animals, the flora is impressive and well maintained. For the record, I like to visit the Zoo of every city I go to (mostly in Europe), and by far it's the most beautiful.
What a beautiful and impressive zoo. Everything is well designed and the animals have lots of space. We especially enjoyed the small petting zoo for our three-year-old daughter, and the aquarium. Also, a truly amazing playground! Lots of places to eat and sit too, plus the mini pancakes are amazing. Easy to get around with a stroller.
One of the best parts about visiting Amsterdam was visiting the ARTIS zoo. Purchased tickets that included MICROPIA. Many animals were located outside so you'd get a better experience than seeing them behind glass. Expect a bit of walking in order to get through the entire zoo and more time to get through MICROPIA located right next to the zoo.
It's worth arriving.
I arrived on a rainy day thinking I couldn't see anything, but I was wrong.
At this zoo they thought of everything.
Great place with lots of special animals.
It was a pleasure to see that the animals were happy and healthy.
I was three hours and I didn't finish everything.
There are facilities for children scattered in all kinds of places.
In the center of the zoo there is a huge cafe and fun to rest.
Of course she recommends.
Wasn't expecting a lot but actually a really great zoo. They clearly have updated this of recent times as most animals have a good sized enclosure. If going soon head to the gorillas to see the baby! Aquarium at the back of the zoo is in a beautiful old building and worth going to see the architecture alone! Good break from the city, couldn't recommend enough!
Very nice zoo, and the animals are very spacious, you don't have that everywhere. It is very worthwhile to make a day out of it. And you can enjoy it wonderfully. Is very much worth it. The caretakers of the animals are also very sweet and positive people. They explain a lot about the animals.
The most beautiful zoo I have visited, very well landscaped. Great variety of animals, definitely worth a visit!
Wonderfull show when birds and penguins are being fes.
What a super beautiful zoo !! We have enjoyed walking here and are happy to come back
It is a very nice zoo, but we were not allowed to pet the fish
Artis is and remains great, but sooooooooooo expensive not normal anymore. Want with man and child, am only inside and then already 82, - lost. Food and drinks 44, -
Cuddle for the little 20, -
A day trip to Artis is no longer possible.
Almost 150, -... pfff
Nice zoo and the animals have had nice stays. You can see everything well and an explanation is given by the caregiver about feeding time. Parking at and eating at Artis is expensive. That detracts from the experience.
A great place to go with the family.
Photography enthusiasts can take a host of great photos.
Modern zoo in the bird and monkey enclosure, you walk through a covered garden where everything walks and flies.
This was a cool zoo! Old buildings super cozy atmosphere.
