Nice place to spend day enjoying in different kind of animals - especially for ones who love monkeys.

Planned out well. There's a lot more inside than it looks from the outside. Great morning out.

Always nice I come there quite often. It is especially nice when the baby elephant comes. Due to the corona, some things are closed such as the butterfly garden and the monkey house, otherwise the park would have had 5 stars

Favorite place in Amsterdam, I still have a subscription, although I come less often than I would like.

One of the most beautiful zoos I have ever seen. The old buildings have been wonderfully integrated into modern facilities, which give the animals plenty of room and retreat, but also the visitor not to be neglected. One has the impression that the many different animals are doing well.
The restaurant will take care of your physical well-being. Children can let off steam in the playgrounds or explore the nature trails and stations.

This zoo is very well maintained, the cages are large.
There is a planetarium which is free (included in the lobby) and there is one session per hour
There is an aquarium, pigeons, a butterfly greenhouse etc.
The price for an adult is around 20

It was pretty great all around. I especially loved the reptiles section -- they have so many Komodo Dragons!

I think there are still enough animals that may have a larger but also cleaner stay. Every year I see improvement and relocation of animals, but also many empty lofts. I found parking out of proportion 16.50 for a day pass. Really outrageous. I have now been 4 years in a row but for the time being I am not going anymore. I do know how to find nicer zoos in the Netherlands.

The enclosures were relatively small and it was a little confusing, but all in all a great atmosphere and a good opportunity to spend the morning there

Nice zoo, especially in the morning. Recommended is the monkey house where you must look for animals.

Recommended to everyone, children and adults!! It's quite big, so it will take its time to visit it, but it's worth it!

A wonderful place to get lost. Whether you go alone or with a group, it is always pleasant. Pro tip: No an ARTIS card and go as often as you want!

The parking lot was full so had to park at the town hall .... Artis told me that I did not have to pay more than 10 euros when leaving ... pffff but just had to pay 40 euros when I returned! If I had known this ....

I love zoos. Especially when Mumbai has a sorry zoo. This was well thought out, with ample enclosures, playgrounds for kids, with a few animals roaming or flying or creeping freely. Beautiful.

Amazing animals, huge spaces, can get up close to the animals. Great canteen area and outside eating space. Butterflies and elephants were highlights

Very nice zoo, not big but still lots of different animals. Several attractions for children, incl. a playground. The butterfly house is a must-see. There are also some free monkeys.

Zoo in the heart of the city. Varied entertainment and incredible discoveries such as the butterfly greenhouse or the nursery where we rub shoulders with ready-made animals. The zoo is big but not too much. The animals are all very neat. It is a very beautiful place to visit! . I recommend.

Today this type of urban zoo is completely outdated. A lot of sadness to see beautiful animals in very small pens. However a very good idea, that of the house of small monkeys, where these are not locked in cages and walk "in freedom" in a reconstituted forest where you even walk.

Many animals that sit / stand in places where you can view them fairly easily, without disturbing them too much.

Lovely zoo, you can see the animals are well looked after and are healthy. Staff at the ticket desk and on the gate are fantastic, very lovely and welcoming. Very relaxed atmosphere, lots of places to rest and grass to sunbathe on.

As a child I sometimes stood in front of the same cages as now. Many old monuments so not much changed. Was chosen to watch movies in the planetarium. Nice experience. Last show is repeated and gives a good impression of our constellations. Nice for children to watch the image projection in the dome together with your parents on a huge cushion.

This zoo is amazing. You can get quite up close with the animals. There is a good variety of animals as well, including elephants, lions, gorillas, monkeys, sea lions, penguins....etc. It is an absolute must for kids. There are two playgrounds as well inside the zoo. Very well spaced out & it's a great feeling to see nature & animals in the middle of the city. I highly recommend you visit especially if you're with a child.

Nice, compact park. It is best to walk around for a long time, nice terrace at the canal. Watching sloops and eating curly potato. Animals in small spaces.

Great day had at the Zoo in Amsterdam. Weather was nice. Wasn't overcrowded. Had a good laugh. Particularly enjoyed the Prison Horses, the danger noodles, long neck horse, the wild doggos, water cats and fuzzy nopes

Nice zoo with very friendly skilled people who are very willing to answer questions. We have not eaten anything but saw that there are also healthier options which is also positive.

Perfect place for kids and family. Open spaces where you see animals without any mesh and cages. Take a good camera with you as you will have a lot of opportunities to make a perfect shot. Tickets better to buy in web in advance (to register in system take your hotel ZIP code). Restaurang inside is good, but prices are as shall be in such places))) Very nice big playground inside.

Especially the elephant enclosure is very beautiful. The elephants can play with water and cool off with this heat. They are also easy to see.

A beautiful zoo with an amazing aquarium. Fun both for adults and kids. To visit and see everything take at least 3 hours.

First time in a planetarium that was a very cool experience! Large park, with a range of animals and aquarium was also good. At least half a day spent there to get the full experience.

As zoos go this one has a pretty wide variety of animals to look at. The animals were easy to see in their pens, which is good from a customer point of view but was unsure about the animal welfare with the sizes they had. There were some great enclosures that you could walk through the middle of, which allowed for some close ups with the safer animals. Didn t eat so can t review food. All of the signs were in English as well as Dutch so didn t miss out on anything.

Super nice zoo! Everything was in bloom, beautiful residences, active animals, many nice sights and animals. Nice piece of history here and there. We have really enjoyed ourselves!

Despite the location (center of Amsterdam) there is a pleasant rest in the zoo itself. Definitely recommended if you are in the area. Many different animals and large park. Suitable for all ages.

Great zoo with the possibility to be very close to the animals! However, I find in the elephants and lions and some large animals, that the enclosure too small ... I therefore recommend to look at the smaller animals in the houses and the aquarium!

Very nice zoo with good opportunities to photograph animals. I particularly liked the African landscape.

Most friendly staff and the free roaming animals make for great muses.
