Good for photos of animals and quite almost interactive, but a lot of the animals such as the porcupine, elephants, lioness, and a few others were "dancing" swaying from confinement. Not cool. More upkeep i think needed in some enclosures.
Amazing place. Lots of animal species as well as plants and fish. PLANETARIUM is the must see for everyone interested about our universe.

This zoo is becoming more and more beautiful. From my childhood I remember small lofts, but more and more I see spacious accommodation here, with educational elements. Even with drizzly weather you can enjoy yourself here by the choice of indoor accommodations. The restaurant exudes space due to the giraffe-worthy height. The sneaky / crawldoor between the panther remains is exciting.
Was always nice but with that extreme parking increase and no smoking areas we are now looking for another zoo on a nice park
This is where I saw micropia. It was a fantastic view into the world of microbes, bacteria, viruses, and algea. 10/10 would totally recommend.
Nice place, but a lot of maintenance and renovation work
Last Sunday I went to ARTIS with wife and child aged 3. Sunday morning decided to go there. No cheap zoo, incl parking. But that should not spoil the fun. Park is very well cared for, beautiful animal enclosures, clean, animals look good. And I think there were many visitors, but it didn't feel like that when you walk around. Our son was very happy with the visit. For him, the highlight was the elephants.
Definitely recommended for a day out
After a year with a Zoo to visit many parks Artis after Burgers Zoo Arnhem a nice 2nd place for us. Beautiful park, hope that some animals get a little more space. It is a pity that my children almost walked the whole time with a scarf in front of their nose because of the smell of cannabis. In many parks you are not allowed to smoke in children, but here one just runs a joint on the bench in the park. Furthermore, nice staff, restaurant like everywhere very expensive. That is still a pity. Beautiful buildings too. Definitely a day entertained !!
Beautiful zoo that transforms from a city zoo into a beautiful park with animals.
The animals are improving and the park is more beautiful and fun. I love the fighting free Lemurs and the elephant enclosure on the water. The prices in the park detract from the overall experience. For example: a banana and a mini cup of coffee for 3.50! A very nice family outing.
The oldest and sweetest zoo in the Netherlands. More and more attention for animal welfare. The attitude of animals in a city garden goes well together.

Zoo is always fun. Artis too. But compared to other zoos, I find Artis a little less beautiful and less big. Hence 3 stars.

It was ok, the animals do not seem very happy, many things are closed following the Covid but the price remains the same .. it is a one-way circuit, unfortunately suddenly we did not could go through the shop

In my opinion it remains expensive, to get there (being a bit outside the city center) you have to take the means.
Immense place, so if you want to visit it well, it takes between 2/3 hours
A zoo in the city results in a unfortunate lack of space for the animals, regrettable.
Lush vegetation and great diversity of animal species
Great park to walk around, spend time with children and the family. All type of animals can be seen, but some were removed in places of reconstruction/renewal. Entrance ticket is quite expensive, and no discount for students not from Amsterdam.

This zoo has been refurbished over the last year's and is now really good, especially for a city center zoo. Maybe not that many animals, but they have a lot of space and walking around and watching them is easy, even when really crowded. Food offering is not great though, but you can find that outside.
I have never seen a weaving elephant: (I have the idea that the accommodation for large animals is too small !!!! Never again: (severely depressing ...

Apparently the lion was terribly exhausted .. He mostly slept .. The monkeys made noise and riots in the cages and it was a bit stressful .. a must visit zoo

I have visited a lot of zoo's. This one is the second best zoo I have visited. It has the greatest gorilla's family. Must see.

Nice day out for adults or children. Lots to see and do, wish some of the enclosures were bigger but only so much you can do with space you have. Be nice if you moved the large dumpsters from the elephants enclosure, they have limited space as it is. (Aware your trying to raise funds for a new one)

Zoo with some very small enclosures. There is a lot of room for improvements. In addition, you are obliged to eat vegetarian. A more conscious card: fine. But don't force me to follow your ideology.

The zoo itself is good, but parking near the zoo is expensive even for Europe. For 5 hours 30 euros is already too much!
Good place for spending couple hours. Just two floors with lot of microscopes to observe. Ant house upstairs was the coolest part of the tour. I wish they have more of such small insects. Downstairs is not an interesting as upstairs. Don t miss the cool elevator ride though.

A very nice zoo! I have been there quite often, but it is a pity that it is quite far away from my home. The zoo is quite large and there are many nice and beautiful animals. In my opinion it is the nicest zoo in the Netherlands. Really recommended to go!
