Beautiful zoo but the food there is quite expensive my advice is to pack a lunch.

Lots of animals. Tidy , well kept zoo. You have to pay for a map though, so if you don't want to do that be aware.

Artis remains a beautiful zoo with its own face. Despite the limited space in the city, people are still working on renewing and widening the animal enclosures.
At the evening openings it becomes clear that the animals also look at the people ... Who is looking at whom? ...

A small animal park compared to other zoos but recommended

Cozy and small zoo. Very outdated and small animal enclosures. Much can and must be improved on this.

Excellent exhibits, friendly staff, very easy to get around in a few hours

Very organized and clean zoo. Separate places for insects, butterflies, aquarium and bacteria. The do care for the animals and provide them with great space to move compared to other zoo.

Beautiful garden. with amazing animals. lots of things to see.

Wonderful place, beautiful fountain. And even in winter there is something to see.

An oasis of greenery where the animals seem to be kept really well. Walking between ponds and tulips bridges was really nice. The play areas for children are very accurate. For small dinosaur lovers there are two great reconstructions of t-rex and stegosaurus.

Great place . Pity the planetarium is only accessible through zoo ticket .not a fan of zoos .

An interesting mix of modern enclosure design ideas and remnant urban park buildings. Entry seemed a little steep for a visit that could indeed be completed within three hours if you wanted to visit other attractions in the same day.

Many and beautiful animals. Employees who like to tell stories. Enough places to sit and eat.

Fairly bad experience or paddock after paddock, we see bad animals in their skin. Whether it's the lion screaming to death, the elephant doing the 100 steps, or the sea lions turning in a ridiculously small pool, I came out of me too badly in my skin. I do not recommend this zoo, just the zoo in general

Nice zoo, some animals have too small a stay. Something has to be done about that.

Terrible! The enclosures were tiny. Trash got into the enclosures. They allow dogs. And so very very sad. They should be ashamed. Other people have mentioned the enclosures of the big cats, wolves and komodo dragons. But also the penguins have a sad little pen with hardly any water. What they do have is shallow and dirty. I'm only glad that other than the map i did not directly give them money as i was using a city pass. Please do not support this atrocity where it is money making mill rather than a zoo. Also if you have to have signs warning of sharp teeth, bills, claws your enclosure is too close to the public and harmful to the animals.

Many of the enclosures should be bigger. If this animals have to live in a zoo, at least give them a bigger home.

Really an excellent zoo. Spacious, lots and lots of animals and info. This is a great spot to spend a day as a tourist or a local.

Fun zoo. DON'T put your fingers in the water by the elephants. There are fish that will bite you...and you will bleed.

Good-sized diverse habitats, decent food options and a few playgrounds make this a solid choice for a family outing

Absolute beautiful place and one of my favorite place in Amsterdam. If you want a proper day out then i highly advise this place.

A beautiful zoo with a wide variety of animals and plants .

The animaks are in good state an are beautiful but de food arsitiment I very disappointing because for a bottle of water you must pay 4 it overpriced or give free water and pay money for the other drinks

The gorilla was just missing. Other that that, it was a nice little loo. The sea lions were a lot of fun to watch wrestling with each other.

Nice zoo in the middle of amsterdam. Lots of different animals and very nice setup of the different areas. Recommend visiting when in Amsterdam!

Because of my membership I consider Artis a bit like the garden because I don't have a garden myself. I am very happy with the many innovations and the spacious accommodations for all those animals. The 3 ladies family elephants remain a favorite! In the distant afternoon I enjoy the peace in winter.

Very large and beautiful zoo. You can complete the whole in at least 1.5-2 hours

The zoo is amazing! We had a great time. There were many animals that we didn't get to see because they were not in their cages so it would be nice if we knew this beforehand. Also, buy your tickets online! It takes 5 seconds and you skip the whole line.

Nice zoo right in the middle of the city. Because of the weather nice and quiet

They organize many parties such as the children's party. That's why you see quite a lot. You can even be photographed with stars at that party

Recently renovated this is lovely zoo and a nice place to spend the afternoon.

I have been here for years and it is still one of my best trips in Amsterdam. It is not a very big zoo, but it is very nice decorated. They have many species of animals, good food and a nicer souvenir shop. In short, a whole zoo.

One of the best zoo trips I've ever had! Expect to spend a whole day here if you want to see everything.

Special children's animal party for parents with sick people and children with a disability

Well maintained Zoo with a small aquarium - 5 minutes walks from the Hop On Hop Off tourist bus. Good place to spend an afternoon. Bit steep on the wallet for a budget traveler.

What is it a nice park! Really great! And the animals are well taken care of. There are also many small restaurants and play areas. Very expensive alone. And the souvenirs are very expensive. For the rest TOP park!

Nice park but the wcs very nasty especially in cheetah restaurant. The service in this restaurant also very untidy the frites were everywhere view of the food was very messy and the person who prepared the food did this really very indifferent. All that organic, too bad!

Nice for a day out, but the prices have gone up quickly which is not normal anymore.

Really worth the visit. The staff are knowledgeable and the animals are well taken care of.

Big enough for an afternoon visit, and good care of the animals. Loved the butterfly and the small monkey area, where they go free amongst visitors.

Zoo that has had its best time for 50 years. Lofts too small, animals with compulsive behavior.
Intent employees will probably be good, but really time to relocate this zoo outside the city.

Since renovating many animals away at artis is very a shame and soooo terribly diur for the ordinary burfer / family

A must do on any visit to Amsterdam for more than a day.
