Pulmonary Clinic & Pulmonary Hospital Staff 5 ! Been going to Children's hospital for my son's care every 2-3 months for 10 years. We do see several doctors every appointment when we go for his check ups & it takes a good while. It's well worth it as everyone has been wonderful & knowledgeable on my son's condition. They have been very helpful getting him the medical equipment & medications that he needs & have helped out tremendously with our insurance company, when I have troubles getting medications approved due to cost. My son has seen many of the same doctors his whole life. They know him well & have seen him grow from a baby to 10. They coordinate with my son's school, to educate them on his health needs during the time he's in school. My son has been admitted 3 times in his life. Once for 30 days when he was only 2. The staff on the hospital pulmonary level was fantastic with him when he was a baby. Very quiet at night not to wake him during his vital checks. My son still remembers that hospital visit as a good visit even though he was ill & so young. He remembers them taking him to the roof playground where they have Ronald McDonald. They helped us with parking passes, meal vouchers, a couch that pulls out into 2 beds for my husband & I to stay with our son in his room. My son was recently admitted for his third time a week ago. My son was afraid of the finger pokes, when they had to check levels due to the IV antibiotics. So the staff arranged it to come in very quietly at night while he was asleep to do the pokes without waking him. They listened to his fears & concerns, he had with being in the hospital. They explained everything to him when they would do anything from the IV, blood draw & even vital checks. They helped him feel as comfortable as possible with little worry. His room was in the new hospital building. Very nice room for a hospital. Again nice sleeping arrangements for my husband & I, so we could stay with our son in his room. We had our own bathroom for showers, baths for my son & us. My son took his Xbox as they have a nice TV, he took movies to watch, the staff brought him games, puzzles, had a staff member come to his room daily to take him to a gym for exercise & play, a staff member came to his room daily to play board games with him & they also had a massage therapist come give him a massage. He looked forward to seeing Justin every day to go to the gym!! Even though being in the hospital is no fun they try to make it as fun as possible for the children. I honestly can not say enough good things about Children's Hospital & their pulmonary staff! They have helped us & my son so much with his condition. I wouldn't take my child anywhere else for his health needs!!!

I wouldn't recommend seeking treatment here. We waited in the emergency room for over 4 hours without being called. The er waiting area was disgusting, littered with trash, food, and dirty tissues. Childrens used to be my choice for my childrens care, however they're severely lacking. I will be seeking treatment elsewhere.

Top notch professionalism and service. I travel over an hour to get to this location when my son is is super I'll or becauother I'lldoctors closer to home can't give me answers. I know they will get the answers needed to make him better.

My daughter was referred for ankle pain after 2 other Dr's could not determine the problem. They ordered physical therapy, did a steroid i
Injection into her ankle, and finally said they didn't know what was wrong and referred us to their pain clinic. They said they had psychologists who could help her. My daughter was not faking. Another Dr was found who immediately knew the issue, performed surgery and she is now pain free. What a waste of money and time... We live 2 hrs away.

My daughter received mega doses of vitamin D from a doctor there. Within a week she started getting nose bleeds, which she had never had in her life. I called the doctor, who was rude and condescending. He stated that there's no way vitamin D could have caused that and that I was being hysterical. I never even raised my voice during this call, but I was concerned. he then laughed my concerns off and told me to see a new doctor. She was 14 at the time.

We have now found that large doses of Vitamin D cause levels of K2 to almost immediately decrease, lowering clotting factors.

She later had an upper respiratory infection that they attributed to allergies.

They are nearly criminal in their misdiagnosis. They decide how likely you are to sue based on your skin color and income, then they treat your child accordingly. I would never go back there again.

My son was brought here by ambulance December 29th because he had a mass on his brain blocking the brain fluid from draining down into his spinal cord had 4 brain surgeries in his first 2 weeks here. We found out my son has An atrt tumor and if it wasn't for Dr Pendrick & Dr Lenard we more than likely would have lost our little boy the NICU on the second floor was great with my son even came by to say by to him as he was moved up to 12th floor. So now we are doing chemo he is almost done with his first cycle of chemotherapy this has been a great hospital for us and thank all of you guys involved in getting my son better

Horrible place. I had to bring my daughter here because my son had scratched her eye and it caused her to get pinkeye, they tell me she didnt have a scratch but yet when i took her to her pediatrition he could see one. On top of this she started to get really sick and messed her self. We asked for pants and never recieved after being told we would. Her blood pressure was high and never checked it again even after i asked. Now my daughter was looking at being admitted because her eye was so bad even at childrens it went to the other eye and down her face. Thank goodness her perdiatrition is amazing and got her tge care she needs

A dr in the cardiology department was very rude, and lied on file. The whole department has been "working" for almost three weeks to diagnose a heart problem, with 3 visits and still nothing.

One of the best children's hospital's in the nation, very friendly staff, clean environment. They go above and beyond to cater to parents and that's all we could ever ask.

I wonder how many kids have hurt/killed themselves or others after being turned away from psychiatric treatment. Time after time my daughter has been turned away from help. Pathetic excuse for childrens psychiatric care.

Failed hospital. I spent nine hours in emergency room, then a doctor comes, then another doctor, and in the end nothing. They do not know what to say and do not know anything about diseases, where can we go al the doctor there know nothing, must close it, and close all of clinic..we will go outside of America cheaper and know everything

I'm giving this based on wait times in ER only, first time wait time was 6 hrs second time wait time was 5 hrs. Once your seen it's very good service

My 18 year old daughter was having extreme panic attacks this weekend so we went to children's urgent care. Long story short, we was sent to the ER and sent home with melatonin to help her sleep. Came back the next day because she was literally going numb in the hands, feet, face and also couldn't breath. Same treatment. Sent to ER and giving her something for her stomach and for depression. The meds take weeks to work. Basically, we have referrals, stomach meds and a teenager that's still freaking out. I really thought this would be the place to get her help but now I wish I'd took her somewhere, anywhere but here .

The fact that you guys employee drug addicts to work around children is ridiculous! I will never bring my children here! This is probably why you guys have so many bad reviews!

My son spent 2 months in that hospital until we transferred him to another hospital in a different state, in which he is now recovering. The treatment we received from the doctors and some nurses was very bad, even racist in some things. Now that my son is in another hospital, I realize that the children took poor care of him, so badly that many of the things they used were deforming his little head. There are so many negative things that we go through in that hospital that I invite you to ask and do not trust the first thing in everything they say. My son wanted to open his throat but thank God in the hospital that he is now that was not necessary.

Called in to make an appointment for my 4 year old autistic grandson who had been crying uncontrollably for 4 days after a traumatic change in his life. The lady who called back basically said they would not see him until we figured out how to pay for his visit. He is not insured. Shame on you! Your mission statement is basically one big fat lie .

Words can't express how grateful we are, not only for the help Miss Megan has given in getting our son caught up, but also to everyone that we've interacted with. Always smiling and making us not just fell welcomed, but pretty much like family. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts

My daughter got hit by a car and they left her sit for 4hrs before even attempting tp place her in a room. Didnt Even check for internal bleeding or anything. Left her hungry and in pain sitting in a wheel chair the whole time.

It s an amazing place. My brother went here for speech therapy and I ve been here one or two times, amazing staff

My daughter had flu and we came to this hospital around like 12:00. after that we waited like 4hrs no one says anything. I went to ask them how long it s going to take and they said I even don t know the time. even they are laying on chairs doing nothing. we ended up going home without seeing doctor after 6 hours. We ended up going another hospital. Never ever going to come back this place. whoever come to this hospital you better pack you lunch otherwise you will be starving.

I am 19 years old (yes I am not a child lol) and I was apart the hematology unit which I had to be apart of until I am 21. So I was admitted and was there for 7 days and during that time I was having pseudo seizures where I would become unresponsive but I was able to hear everyone. The second day of my stay I was transferred to the PICU for no apparent reason for the seizure and was told I had a code violet (patient is violent) called on me. Fast foreward to my last night and I had a seizure that lasted for almost 2 hours. I wake up and have 6-8 nurses holding me down and they are talking about ordering restraints for my wrist and ankles. They ordered the restraints without calling my mother who has power of attorney over me when I become unresponsive. The nurses decided to now call my mom and tried to call a code violet on me while I m having a seizure. The lady who calls the codes wants to call a code blue because I am having a seizure not conciously trying to fight them and when someone is having a seizure you do not hold them down you have to let them shake until they come down from it which is what the nurses did not do they decided to hold my limbs down and could ve possibly hurt me. When it was all said and done they called the police on me and I had 10 police officers push,grab, and shove me (mind you, I am a patient) out the hospital and put me on the concrete and told me that I am banned from children s hospital. Idk about you but I wouldn t want my child to be treated like that

I have yet to have a good experience with the close to home urgent care centers and now the emergency department (that the close to home sent us to) and we ve been waiting for hours for one test that we have been told we don t need. We ve literally wasted almost five hours of our time to be sent home.

My grandson was transferred to Childrens to be admitted from another hospital. We were told to go straight to admissions as soon as we got here. We did that and we were sent to the emergency room and left to sit for going on 4 hours now. Why are we in the emergency room if we allready did all that and got transferred for him to be admitted. He is 1 year old and they left a urine bag on him for 4 hours.....you cant be serious. This is so unreal to me that we are going through this.Childre ns should be ashamed of themselves

This hospital is great. They make my daughter s blood transfusion procedure very easy. Nurses are awesome and very helpful.

Worst experience ever. Loooooooooong wait time. Staff aren't friendly from the time you walk in ( security) until you leave ( indoor pay machine is broken). If I wasnt in need to take my child there, I would of not even thought about going there, thus I waited 2 hours ( took to triage the first time) then took to ANOTHER triage ( why that wasn't done the first time??!!!!!), then waited 2 hours and I had other people a head of me ( i need most likely at least 2 hours) i asked the lady at the information desk ( how long estimated wait time for me ) she look at me , then looked at her computer and said I DON'T KNOW, yes, why would she know, she is the information desk!!!. Im sure at least 2 hours to even get in a room to be seen by a doctor who is most likely a trainee doctor. Which I believe will cost over all thousands of dollars after insurance. The time was close to actually morning so I decided to take my family rest at home then call my daughter doctor office for her to be seen.

Whatever the medical condition may be, Nationwide Children s Hospital has the means and the staff to assess and provide the treatment. In patient and out patient care is one of the best in the United States. The staff is friendly, courteous, respectful and helpful. The hospital is committed to providing care period. There are accommodations available for adults to stay at if their child requires long term care (Ronald McDonald House). There are also several on site places to eat at as well. Continuing education is provided for the children along with a play space for siblings to play in. The hospital is clean and appointed in very creative and decorative art and sculptures. The leaders of this hospital are very committed to the growth of their staff and it s arguably one of the best places to be employed at.

They know healthcare! My children will always come here if they are sick.

My granddaughter was taken by squad because she had a seizure and stopped breathing. By the time the squad arrived to there jouse she was breathing again awake and drowsy. The staff sitting in the front were cold and short and when asked how much longer .My daughter and sIL were told we are not worried. They had been sitting in the waiting room for 5 plus hours. This is a 2 yo who had never had a seizure let alone stopped breathing...... terrible service..... you can build and build but if your staff gives poor service. People will go elsewhere

The billing Dept. Cannot do anything right. Been getting the same bills every month that have been paid for for over 2 years.

Majority of the doctors are only worried about the money and not kids ! We hate this place!!!

I've never seen worse customer service in my life just from 2 phone calls (2 separate staff) were so rude, made it seem like I was a burden for just calling to schedule an appointment, first time was just calling the childrens number, and the 2nd time he transferred me to the department I was needing for my 9 month old to have a renal ultrasound, very rude attitude.

Rude and lazy doctors, ignorant medical students that think there doctors. The don t run any tests our pediatrician has asked for and the ones that they have run we ve had to a fight for. Pathetic unprofessional perfect for a city like Columbus. Maybe I m just used to Pittsburgh are doctors actually want to get to the bottom of what s going on with your child rather profit off your repeated stays there.

Words cannot express the gratitude I have for the staff here and this hospital itself is extraordinary. We're so lucky to have this place in our hometown. Thank you NCH!

Came in with my daughter by ambulance for a trauma- staff was rude and made me feel bad for being upset- MY CHILD WAS HURT! I was so disappointed in the staff there and the gentleman who did her IV was a joke- he took forever and it seemed like his first time. They also discharged us too early and never gave my daughter fluids- she in turn became dehydrated and we had to rush to huntington children s hospital the next day.after a sedation and stitches.

If I can give one star will do !!!if you planning to come here you should know will stay about 7 to 8 hours, will never recommend this place to anyone!!

So recently a young friend of mine was checked in for mental health and other things & while she was there she was extremely uncomfortable. They strapped her to a bed, made her SHOWER and use the restroom in front of them, mind you this is a CHILD. That s very unprofessional and uncalled for, for somebody who is in a very tough position.

My 8 month old daughter had a temp of 104 but yet we was still in the waiting room for five hours and the last people to be call and when we was call we still had to wait another hour and half. if I could give this place a zero I would in a heartbeat. This place is very unprofessional I will never recommend this hospital to no one

Avoid at all costs. Don't take your children here if you care about their health. They almost killed my child.

Grateful for their experienced care of our little one. This is a beautiful hospital and I love the colored lines on the floor to guide you where you need to go. All hospitals should have this... you cannot get lost this way it's great!!!

Terrible the staff is nice but I took my 3 month old in for a serious cough got there at 1:45 took about 5 hours to tell us he is okay not acceptable children's hospital is a big time health insurance finessee I don't care what the owner says but I will not consider bringing your child here if they are seriously hurt they could have 3rd degree burns and wait 3 hours to be seen just for vitals terrible as f@#$....

My daughter had to have her umbilical hernia repaired and everyone the was so nice! I appreciate each person that did all they could to make sure my daughter was comfortable.

I love visiting children's. There are super friendly and nice. My children see the Optimamolgy center. There staff is amazing.

My daughter was born in March and was here until December, almost a full 9 months in the NICU, they have been nothing but absolutely wonderful for us, I'm very grateful for NCH, my daughter has been readmitted and the nurses, doctors and all of the staff are so nice.

I have all leukemia and ohio state hospital would not do a transplant on me so luckily children's took me under their wings and saved my life. They gave me a transplant and saved my life great staff

I wanted to report particular nurse behavior today at front desk in emergency room. But i could not find any contact details to send it personally. Nurse, jenny jhonson, was really rude to a patient's mother who was concerned about her child. She requested if they can admit her child asap as she is in acute abodominal pain (probably apendicitis) she was vomiting and in a very bad state. We were first in the line and asked her to go instead of us but nurse denied to take her and said, i saw millions of such cases and she wont die right away. It will take few days. Those words really left me in shock. How can someone say such things to a parent? Mother asked nurse jenny jhonson, what will u do if this happens to your child. Nurse replied, i will wait in line and listen to the nurse!

It might be her job to take in people in line who ever came in first, but it was quite rude to talk to a worried mother that way. Mother was talking in very requesting manner!

My experience was good other than that! But i m not willing to give any stars after witnessing such behavior from nurse at front desk. Have some empathy for others pain. It is sure part of your(nurse) job

Outpatient Care Center. Pulmonary. Excellent. Top notch, especially for cystic fibrosis kids.

I had to take my 15 month daughter to the ER at Children s last night due to a dog bite. Everyone there was so kind and so caring. They had a woman who came in Hills soul purpose was to keep my daughter distracted and to keep her calmed down. They had three different specialist come in to assess her and then together as a team came up with an action plan. I was included in every decision along the way. They were quick and efficient. We were never in the room
For very long by ourselves! From the bottom of my heart... THANK YOU!

Not quite sure why the security guard asked me to step aside while he thoroughly looked at my name tag and didn t ask ANYONE else to while I was going to visit my newborn son that needs heart surgery and will be in the NICU for the next 6 months on 3/24/21 at 5pm near the elevators, but I didn t appreciate it and my family and I are going through more than enough that you making me feel like you need to double check my credentials while in visiting is extremely rude. I had a card in my hand and my two stickers but you thought you needed to double check my stickers just in case? Why is that exactly sir. Why didn t you ask anyone else. You need to speak to your staff because next time I will be speaking to someone.

This place is a joke I took my kid there tonight to get help for some mental issues and they took it as a joke it's not a joke when your six year old hits a 6 month old baby and then while he's at the hospital acts like he shooting people and talking about hurting the baby again right in front of them and they still don't do anything because he's not suicidal are you kidding me the staff told me I didn't have enough structure in my home and that I just wanted to get my son addmitted in the hospiatl because I needed a break like are you kidding me if I want a break I will get a babysitter obviously I needed help from so called professionals and didn't get it so yeah this place is a joke they sent us home

I just want to say thank you for everything this hospital and the team they have are the best I have ever seen they treated my daughter Rainna Rae Carter like the princess she is and they helped my wife and I with everything we needed and I will forever be grateful thanks for everything

Just like any other place in the world when you need to have medical attention you turn to your local children's hospital this particular location did an outstanding job in all aspects of patient care my hat's off to you keep up the great work

If I could give a cero star I d have done it. I ve been here 5+ hours and nothing they ll check your kid s vitals and give them Tylenol and throw you back to the waiting room, if you want your baby to die bring him/her here

The ER receptionist s attitude was rude, and she had no patience.

The staff at check in was very rude... and radiology staff were rude as well. Super disappointing for the fact that they deal with children how unfriendly they were. Not very welcoming.

This hospital is the best hospital for children in Ohio, Maybe even on the east coast!! All staff was going out of their way to help and make sure everyone was comfortable. The hospital was very clean and beautiful! All doctors were very great at their profession, and were very knowledgeable. We are going back for the outpatient services. Thank you guys so much!!!

The staff are very friendly and efficient. Cafeteria has great food and reasonably priced.

I live next to children's and people constantly come out of their parking garages without looking!! I had to slam on my breaks today to avoid a serious accident! The people working at children's don't care about my neighborhood and they make me feel unsafe!!

They did an amazing job with our son. He was Diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and had to be admitted to the hospital everyone was wonderful and helpful and they work with him help and keep him calm when they did the IV's and all his shots and worked well with us teaching us how to take care of him

On February 4, 2018, my son Nicholas was taken to PICU on the 2nd floor. I cannot express my gratitude and appreciation to the Medical staff who helped my son and treated him with respect. He passed away later that day and how the medical staff treated him ment more to me and my wife then I would ever be able to put into words. I will keep you always in my prayers and again thank you for your Kindness and Respect in our time of need.

A fine institution serving families with children in the Greater Columbus Metropolitan Area. You couldn't ask for a more caring highly trained staff. These fine folks will do everything they can to take care of your child.

Love this hosptial and will be bring all my kids here. When wr got her i knew somthing was wrong with my 7 week old baby after zanesville hospital told me other wise. Well they admitted her and told me they was gunna releaese us until they found out what was wrong well theu kept her all nigth and after dping a bunch of test they found out she had a very bad UTI that if left untreated xould have did some damnage or even death so im glad i listened to my motherly instincts and came up here will recomment this hospital to everyone. Thanks for takinh good care of my little gorl and.us..

My child spent 6 days in this magical loving caring place due to a medical emergency-- no surgery, no medications, and most importantly- no healing or solution. But I received an unitemized $50,000 medical bill in the mail with their sadistic smiley faces and flowers all over it to put my family in financial ruin.

My child ended up adding 2 more other problem she went with one ended adding up other two problems reason not quick respond by doctors! Be fast and hire more doctor if needed, can t stay unknown for hours! Dam!

Staff was nice.. Some didn't want to follow mothers instructions but over all very nice everything in the hospital is very convenient guards are super nice and helpful..

My son had surgery they were awesome until shift change when this lady came in she seems to have an attitude. Caught her talking about me to a nurse who wasn't even listening to her shame shame

Good bed side manners, good medical practice. HOWEVER, con artists when it comes to billing, sends bills 7 months later to try and balance their billing from insurance and will refuse to work with you.

This hospital is terrible. We got transferred from osu and have nothing but problems. My son was born 3 months premature and required oxygen. We usually don't have issues with the doctors, but the nurses are terrible. I feel like everytime we go here there is a complaint to be made. If I could I would never come back here...
