Excellent surroundings,nice climatic conditions and very pituresque location

Hawk Hill is a great hike. It's uphill 1.6 miles with three sets of steps - 98 then 65 then 46. An excellent workout with a view

This family trip was the best we've had yet! I suggest getting the Go card so you can enjoy all parts of the city at a great price:)

Awesome place to take the family, furry kids included. The Marin side is well maintained. The San Francisco side needs to have their honey pots dumped periodically.

A very nice place to walk and relax getting some appreciation of the ocean while staying in the city

It was cool to drive across but I didn't read ahead to find the toll. The toll is a pay by plate, so be careful if you rent a car. We didn't know how much we owed or anything. The car rental just added it to our bill in the end.

Great location for a late night drive. Awesome views of the bridge from here. Can get windy at times and is pretty cold during Winters. Parking is limited.

Beautiful park with great mixed-use trails. Lots of work on restoring natural habitat. They're also a golf course and driving range. Lots of dog walkers use Mountain Lake trail so if you don't like dogs not the place to walk. The lake is beautiful restored with lots of good information about the natural fauna and Flora of the area.

Went to the Disney family museum and it was beautiful. We went for memorial day and surprisingly it was very quiet. The museum itself was really cool to see the history of Disney. The workers there are also super friendly, kinda felt like I was at Disneyland. Would recommend going here even if you're not a huge Disney fan, it's great to see the history of art, and how things were back in the 30s.

If you come in a good weather (sunny, not so windy), it's very pleasant and refreshing.

The parking was free, but it took awhile to park.
The bridge was very crowded. And the bikers were hard to navigate around, but it was an AMAZING sight! 5/5 Recommend!

SF Archers in Sharp Park is an absolute gem for anyone interest in Archery!! Jim Robeson & a great crew of volunteers consistently put on some of the best archery tournaments in NorCal! Hospitality, the best!! Challenging tournaments, the best!! Easy to enjoy & well organized, the best!! There are excellent teachers here to if you want to attend their JOAD program. Become on member & get the best of both worlds.

Free, easily available parking and bathroom at Crissy Field. Beach access and very nice view of Bay, Golden Gate Bridge, Angel Island, Alcatraz, etc. Lots of dogs and walkers.

Make sure you go when it's clear, 'cause if there's too much fog you won't be able to see anything. It can also get very, very, very, cold in there.

This place has almost a mystical feel to it, especially when there is thick fog. There is also plenty of wildlife including deer and rabbits that run freely about.

Somebody post parking tips for those who want to visit this place. Nearby parking areas. That would be a million dollar answer for sf travelers. I'm waiting to hit that helpful like button for that review :D

Although foggy and a little cold even in the summer, nice bike ride and great views over SF from the bridge along with a really good feeling of yes, you really are cycling over the Golden Great Bridge

More restrooms need to be Installed at the visitor center. The queues were too long

Really pretty. Go for a hike don't just hang out in the parking lot. Also there is usually lots of parking spots on the back side of the circle don't feel like you need to park immediately.

It is very well created area along with the history of the bridge and how the structure and design was selected for the bridge. The is also a separate recreational area where you can relax and enjoy with your family.

Great place. Not crowded. We saw a beached grey whale here spring 2019.

A beautiful hike. We hiked the Pedro point. The trail is well maintained and the views were stunning. Try going on a sunny day.

Very uncrowded .. 1 mile from main beach near Cliff house...no real close parking...park on del playa and walk 50 yards across hiway

Took a day trip to San Francisco for my birthday. After walking around Pier 39 were headed to Fisherman's Wharf and crossed paths with the cruise lines. So glad we're decided to jump on! We took the baby cruise out and under The Golden Gate and around Alcatraz Island. It was just enough to get a flavor of the bay and so exciting to travel under the bridge. It is absolutely breathtaking! There were great historical tidbits and stunning views! A great experience!

I love the park, and enjoy the historic matks however they could add more historic information around the area with accurate all inclusive history.

A beautiful expanse preserving old military forts, expansive gardens, hiking trails, and beaches. Well worth several days exploration!

It was completely overcast this morning, so I took a rip through the old forts and Nike site. It was just after 8:00am, so there was no one in the park and I could rip through the twisty roads. Very fun.

Wonderful view of the bridge, the bay and the sky line of San Francisco. Rent a bike, go across the bridge and have lunch in Sausalito. Take the Ferry to come back to the city and do not forget to pay with a clipper card!

i have been walking this park for over thirty years... i am never disappointed.

Huge, limitless, amazing urban playground in our back yard. However, please DEAL WITH THE DOGS. Dog owners, voice control is bullshit. Keep your dogs away from people and their food unless we invite the dogs to us. The wildlife would also appreciate your really respecting the leash laws. Dogs are our friends, extensions of human life, yet you let them act like drunk college students.

Such a great place to day hike through museums, play field sports, go for a jog, and learn or natural history. Will need multiple days to see it all.

Limited choices of tea but the options offered are delicious. Must pay to enter garden even if it's just for tea house.

Wonderful National Park. Can't believe I live this close to it and missed going here for so long. A true Bay area treasure. Handicap parking is available but limited, if you can I recommend you make reservations for the day to get a spot up close. a wonderful time for all but ground can be uneven and what you walk in has to be walked out. Be sure if you're groups activity level before heading in.

Walked the bridge. Almost 2 miles long.30 minutes walking. Beautiful view.

It is a very convenient method to reach your friends and family!

Other than sailing under the Golden Gate this is the best way to experience our unique bay. The San Francisco Bay is one of the few natural harbors in the United States.

Awesome views of Presidio cliffs and the ocean.Best spot for Lyft ride sharing back to San Francisco.Plenty of nature trails to access from this side.Thre is a walk way under bridge to main parking area of Vista point.Provides a great view of the enormous engineering technology of this wonderful land mark bridge.

Nice area but quite the drive. The drive is scenic but long. Visited the Pt. Reyes Lighthouse which is really beautiful on a nice day

It was really fun experience because you can see far away from your point of view, and a lot of people are walking with their friends, or family, and having fun and enjoying the moment

The over look was amazing but disgusting at the same time...car windows had been broken out and glass was everywhere. Toilets were so nasty piled high with poop and blood everywhere...people were sitting in parking lot smoking weed.
Drive by for the view...but dont stop, God knows what'll happen

Amazing view and beautiful area. The weather is unpredictable and the winds can go crazy. Parking is scant any day and if its a holiday, then it can go crazy. Traffic is crazy too.

I love it I have no words to describe the beauty of Golden Gate National Recreation areas in San Francisco other than come see it for yourself thank you fourth generation San Francisco.

A lot of nice park areas and trails besides the bridge.

Get off at the first exit after the GG bridge driving North and follow the road along the coastline. It becomes a one-way road with spectacular views of the SF bay. Pick a warm day when the high-pressure system is keeping the fog away and you are in for a real treat. We saw deer, coyote, seals and whales playing in and around the water. There are picnic benches and BBQ stands for public use and great views from every angle. No running potable water (just an outhouse) so bring your own.

A very special place. Vibrantly full of life. Fog dances in the wind, wildlife abounds, glorious when sun comes out! Hiking trails are a must to experience the peace that is just off the road.
