Obviously an amazing site with amazing historical value. I recommend staying off the actual bridge unless you love crowds (or really really want to walk on it). You can get the best view from Crissy Field from a little pier called "torpedo wharf.".

This is one of the best park's in San Francisco to visit with your dog, friends or family. Great place to bring a refreshment and a sandwich. Enjoy the ocean air and sights while eating.

Iconic suspension Bridge. As I was privileged to have an apartment 88 Howard street which was just opposite the Bridge. I enjoyed watching it at all times of the day. It was just wonderful .

While the southern side has more attractions, the views and trails on the northern side are more spectacular given the backdrop of the cities and the immemorable bridge. Just be warned that your Kodak moment shots will be subservient to Bay fog even during mid-afternoon.

Love it!

A worthwhile landmark to visit - obviously, with all the traffic, and wind-noise, it s quite loud. Mind the bicycle traffic, they share the land for pedestrians and add a bit of hazard to a walk as they speed by. I recommend the walking trails ahead of the bridge.

Golden Gate National Recreation Area is a huge collection of properties all around the San Francisco Bay Area, all managed by the US National Park Service. Most of the land was former US Army and US Air Force bases that are being converted into park land. Most of the properties are easily accessible from residential areas, often by bus or bicycle or even on foot. There are many spectacular viewpoints as well as historic area and ecologically fascinating areas. I suggest that you visit their website and then try to visit different parts of the GGNRA since each property has its unique charm. The area immediately north and south of the Golden Gate Bridge is the most popular, but GGNRA has much more to offer.

A vast area which can cater to people of all interest. Biking, hiking, camping, swimming, picnicking any kind of recreation you can think of. It is all there. Good views for nature lovers. Can get foggy sometimes which is also beautiful.

The SunSets are the best part of coming here! Some of the most beautiful sunsets I've ever captured.

It has iconic views of the Golden Gate Bridge with lots of trails through and around old military installations. All this free with lots of parking. Hard to find a better place in San Francisco.

Love this place! Such a gorgeous view of the city. The swing isn't there anymore, but it's definitely still worth the trip. There's plenty of street parking and when I came here, it wasn't crowded at all! The lookout point is just a flight of stairs away from street level. The views are amazing...assuming it's not too foggy. You can see over the rooftops of all the little houses in the city, and you're high enough so that you can see way out. Great photo spot! Would highly recommend visiting.

How can you not go there? Land's End and the coastal trail all the way to the Bridge is the most stunning natural and scenic area within the city of San Francisco. Except for the easternmost section, it doesn't feel like at all you are in an urban environment.

Best experience. SFO is a tourist hub and usually packed with local and foriegn tourists on weakends. Advice if you want to enjoy to the max try planning your trip during weakdays or atleast not during peak hours.

It's a lovely place with a great view of Golden gate bridge.

There are great photo points and also from here you can take a walk on Golden Gate bridge.

It will be windy and chilling, do carry a pullover with a hood. It is a must. Best time is early morning before 8am as crowd is less and you can take really good photos with out strangers in frame.

Be prepared it will be about 2+. Hrs over all with the walk on bridge and if you are hungry, very very limited option for you.

Do carry some thing to eat. Enjoy the park and Golden Gate bridge walk.

This area is part of the Presidio and is literally right at the Bay's edge. Crissy field (which is big enough to land an airplane on) is the big open grass area right here offering one-of-a-kind and breathtaking views of beautiful Bay Area and Golden Gate Bridge. Stunning.

Terrific spot to observe and experience one of the neat spots of the USA. Easy to take a bus in and out. There's a shop plus restaurant and clean bathrooms. You can even walk the bridge! Oh yeah, there's plenty of spots for pictures too! Go and see it!
