Wow! That's one word I would describe about this place. Beautiful view of Golden gate bridge !
Very well maintained. Really appreciate all the work they have put into restoring the native species and habitats.
Go here if u are visiting SF or if u live here beautiful
Lots of interesting things to see and so nice to know there is no charge for many sites!
Obviously an amazing site with amazing historical value. I recommend staying off the actual bridge unless you love crowds (or really really want to walk on it). You can get the best view from Crissy Field from a little pier called "torpedo wharf.".
This is one of the best park's in San Francisco to visit with your dog, friends or family. Great place to bring a refreshment and a sandwich. Enjoy the ocean air and sights while eating.
Iconic suspension Bridge. As I was privileged to have an apartment 88 Howard street which was just opposite the Bridge. I enjoyed watching it at all times of the day. It was just wonderful .
Went there at night. Got turned around. Looked great and bridge view awesome at night
The best place for photo shooting with golden gate bridge as background!
Great place for a hike with fantastic, iconic views.
California is the place you outta be so we loaded up the truck and moved to Beverly. Hills that is... Swimming pools and movie stars
A little chilly but the views are beautiful and I would love to return some day
Simply amazing. Cool gift store. Very touristy but no complaints. Clean and well kept. Staff very helpful. Decent eats here, of course lyft is all over which helps.
was there during the week and found free parking within seconds. the park was beautiful and clean with incredible views.
While the southern side has more attractions, the views and trails on the northern side are more spectacular given the backdrop of the cities and the immemorable bridge. Just be warned that your Kodak moment shots will be subservient to Bay fog even during mid-afternoon.
Nice place to hike and bike you also get a good view of the Golden Gate
Great experience!! I will bring the kids when they are a bit older... You know do they will appreciate it !
Unique experience to be here and walk the Golden Gate Bridge at sunset.
Good walking and cycling trails. Long walk out the breakwater grants unique city views. Seating area at beach front is great for relaxing or people watching.
This is nice place to visit with anyone and with your family. The scenes are so beautiful to take photograph.this is so wonderful and amazing place.i suggest everyone to visit this place at once
One of the great sites of the West! A wide open and beautiful area much larger than many realize. Hike, bike, walk... get back to nature!
Lovely outdoor space with variety of shops and places to eat
What could be better if you like the Golden Gate bridge. Good places to sit and rest. Great gift store.
Our favorite place to be, just can't come to the city without checking out the Bridge
It would be better if they separated the bicyclists from the pedestrians with more than just a line on the walkway. Other than that, it's beautiful. The bridge and the view!
you are not alive if you dont like spending a day at "the beach", coastline...go now!!
The park was beautiful,We especially enjoyed the Japan Tea Gardens. It was so serene and peaceful . Walking also gave us some exercise.
This is one of my most memorable places, I've ever visited. scenery in the atmosphere are absolutely gorgeous. The fog lifted on our last day there, luckily we got to experience this one of a kind area.
Everything about it is very nice. At the bay you can see random people performing. Like a keyboard player. I will say though there are people who speak different languages.
Nice foot and cycling paths, good for jogging and nice views of the Golden Gate bridge
Great birding amongst the cows. Waterways and cool breezes!
Had an awesome time didn't wait in line too long the ushers were nice
Very cool to see the bridge. It's an engineering marvel!
Great place to get a spectacular view of the bridge. This was a nice surprise as we went there for a hike. There is access to many trails with directions posted at regular intervals
Awesome.. today I made a new friend/walking companion.. a small coyote.. he fallowed me for a half a mile and then turned around and left.. lol he was cute! Unfortunately my phone battery was down to 4% so I couldn't take any pics.
Amazing views from every point, but what they don't show you is the lack of parking so be patient and be prepared to drive for a little bit to get a parking spot!
You got to see the Nike missile site. Great tour guides. Good unknown history.
A worthwhile landmark to visit - obviously, with all the traffic, and wind-noise, it s quite loud. Mind the bicycle traffic, they share the land for pedestrians and add a bit of hazard to a walk as they speed by. I recommend the walking trails ahead of the bridge.
Golden Gate National Recreation Area is a huge collection of properties all around the San Francisco Bay Area, all managed by the US National Park Service. Most of the land was former US Army and US Air Force bases that are being converted into park land. Most of the properties are easily accessible from residential areas, often by bus or bicycle or even on foot. There are many spectacular viewpoints as well as historic area and ecologically fascinating areas. I suggest that you visit their website and then try to visit different parts of the GGNRA since each property has its unique charm. The area immediately north and south of the Golden Gate Bridge is the most popular, but GGNRA has much more to offer.
Very nice great view and some construction going on. Almost thought we were going the wrong way. 1st time and it was nice
Beautiful hike highly recommend going early on a summer morning and enjoy the fog! Bring a camera you can't go wrong flick everything!
The boat ride to the bridge was really windy but on the way back towards Alcatraz was much better
Great open space with a view of the Golden Gate Bridge. Plenty of people and dogs, but not overly crowded.
Stopped here to enjoy the scenery after Napa. It was a beautiful day!
A vast area which can cater to people of all interest. Biking, hiking, camping, swimming, picnicking any kind of recreation you can think of. It is all there. Good views for nature lovers. Can get foggy sometimes which is also beautiful.
It's so beautiful here!
The SunSets are the best part of coming here! Some of the most beautiful sunsets I've ever captured.
Amazing sunset seen from a trail off Panoramic Hwy above Mill Valley
It has iconic views of the Golden Gate Bridge with lots of trails through and around old military installations. All this free with lots of parking. Hard to find a better place in San Francisco.
It's the classic CA coast experience. I grew up here but it never gets old.
I've been through here biking many times, up Hawk Hill and down to the batteries. Sometimes going through to Tiburon/Sausalito. It's absolutely gorgeous, albeit often windy.
Beautiful view of San Francisco from up the hill, just take the last exit before the bridge heading south and head straight up the hill... amazing!
Gorgeous yet do tick checks before you get Slymed by a bioweapon. Read Bitten.
The golden gate bridge is a must see for all travelers! There is also plenty to do other then just the bridge in the San Fran area
The San Francisco Bay is a wonderful natural adventure.
Gorgeous views! Fine dining at The Cliff House overlooking the mighty Pacific and her majestic CLIFFS... sunset was breathtaking! A must see place while in SanFrancisco!!
Love this place! Such a gorgeous view of the city. The swing isn't there anymore, but it's definitely still worth the trip. There's plenty of street parking and when I came here, it wasn't crowded at all! The lookout point is just a flight of stairs away from street level. The views are amazing...assuming it's not too foggy. You can see over the rooftops of all the little houses in the city, and you're high enough so that you can see way out. Great photo spot! Would highly recommend visiting.
How can you not go there? Land's End and the coastal trail all the way to the Bridge is the most stunning natural and scenic area within the city of San Francisco. Except for the easternmost section, it doesn't feel like at all you are in an urban environment.
Best experience. SFO is a tourist hub and usually packed with local and foriegn tourists on weakends. Advice if you want to enjoy to the max try planning your trip during weakdays or atleast not during peak hours.
Drive through the park almost every day, feels like I'm not in the city anymore
It's a lovely place with a great view of Golden gate bridge.
There are great photo points and also from here you can take a walk on Golden Gate bridge.
It will be windy and chilling, do carry a pullover with a hood. It is a must. Best time is early morning before 8am as crowd is less and you can take really good photos with out strangers in frame.
Be prepared it will be about 2+. Hrs over all with the walk on bridge and if you are hungry, very very limited option for you.
Do carry some thing to eat. Enjoy the park and Golden Gate bridge walk.
There is free parking here. Easy access to the waterfront, and I saw at the restroom area a water fountain that is made to service dogs.
Easy trail to walk or run, mostly flat ground, great to bring kids on their bikes.
Great and unique bridge I have ever been. There are many points we can take a nice photo shoot.
This area is part of the Presidio and is literally right at the Bay's edge. Crissy field (which is big enough to land an airplane on) is the big open grass area right here offering one-of-a-kind and breathtaking views of beautiful Bay Area and Golden Gate Bridge. Stunning.
A wonderful view, and many different rest spots. There's also a bike path.
Love the view from here. It is such an Amazing place to enjoy God's creation and to rejoys in all that He has created for us to enjoy.
Terrific spot to observe and experience one of the neat spots of the USA. Easy to take a bus in and out. There's a shop plus restaurant and clean bathrooms. You can even walk the bridge! Oh yeah, there's plenty of spots for pictures too! Go and see it!
Cool beach to visit. Huge. Bring a jacket though, the weather can change fast. Run your dog(s)...??
Beautiful curving drive and stunning views. A must see in Marin.
Awesome place for a drive and a hike, been there twice. Must visit
Beautiful place to picnic and get away from the hustle and bustle of SF
I went to visit a friend in the bay area in California and she took me to the golden gate it was amzing. In a boat ride of coures. It was so fascinating.
