I mean, come on. It's the Golden Gate Bridge. It's beautiful any time of day or week. Shame that it's a toll road. Probably for the best. Otherwise I'd spend all my time driving across it and not getting much else done.

A great spot for biking, but you'll probably encounter some hills! You'll likely pass through here as you make your way to Sausalito on a rented bike. I recommend checking and double checking ferry time so you don't get stuck in Sausalito for an hour and a half longer than you intend to be there. Otherwise, Ghirardelli isn't far and is a great place to check out.

Really great place to stop off and take in the surrounding views. We hired bikes to do the touristy thing, which was a lot more fun than expected, the area is well catered towards cycling. There is a few places to get drinks and food in the surrounding area, which you can get special deals for prior, if your renting a bike from certain cycle hire shops in San Fran. I would recommend to put sunscreen on regardless of it being cool or overcast, I was wearing a jacket as it was cool, but got burnt pretty badly everywhere which was exposed, don't say you wasn't warned! There are free to use toilet facilities located here too, although they get pretty busy, as this is a popular site, especially during holiday season, something to keep in mind.

Great place for a day hike, picnic or just to hang out. You can even take your bikes on the ferry then enjoy a day cruising the more secluded spots. But remember don't chase the geese. And even if Warner said you could feed the deer... She lies!

This is an amazing park, from the pier to the bridge itself there are plenty of options to have fun with family and friends! Shops, restaurants, museums and street are available to make your visit memorable. I really enjoyed the time there, animals in the pier, the wonderful smell of the sea and the wind blowing around you makes you feel awesome. Thanks San Francisco!

Lovely open spaces. Lots of people out and about either walking their dogs, having a picnic or riding a bike. We did an amazibgly long walk through the park which boasted great panoramic views . We hired bikes and rode to and over the golden gate bridge.

West Marin is a sanctuary for the senses. Whether it is raining cats and dogs on salmon running Lagunitas creek, or the sun cutting through the blue sky to observe Holstein cows on green meadows, or the stars pricking the inky black universe more sharply than they deserve to at this elevation, there is always a memory I am returning with happily. That spirit lives on in the locals there: good salt of the earth. Talk to them about schools, California, or owls, you will make a friend in no time.

Beautiful park, beautiful shoreline, ocean. I don't know how this bit of the world next to city managed to be protected but it is a great thing.
Plenty of great hikes, views, activities.

Please do not go to the incredibly lame lookout just off of Hwy 101 immediately North of the bridge. Full of tourists who line up to circle around that crowded spot. Plenty of other great lookouts not right in the way of everyone else.

A must visit when in the SF area.. There are many places to visit in and around the Park.. Alcatraz Island is one of the famous locations near the park..

Plan to visit for a day and you can bicycle along the waterfront from San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park, across the Golden Gate Bridge to Battery Spencer--and panoramic views of the city. You can also camp at Kirby Cove, with a panoramic view of the Golden Gate. There are many other scenic places to visit...

Not certain what is best, driving on the Golden Gate Bridge or admiring it. From this perspective, you will be in awe of the magnitude of this gilded bridge. In this park-like area, you can access small beaches along the Pacific Ocean and walk you feet to bruises while still admiring the bay.

The place is magical with a great view from the cliff that we stopped. I personally like the walk up there, with some small streams, the green forest, and wild blackberries. The hike to the top may be tough for beginners, around 5 miles uphill.

The whole presidio area of SF is a great spot to get away from all the city traffic and noises. I love the green grass field outside of Walt Disney Museum. Bring your four legged buddy and spend few hours or sit on the field with a blanket- all free!

Awesome. The trees are amazing and while your here go see the beach close by. Amazing views at the beach, can't remember the name maybe Mehr beach. Parking is miserable, sometimes you have to walk really far to the entrance of the park. Well worth the drive. Cell phone service can be touchy. Many tourist, they can be rude. Not much as far as food or anything but a small gift/coffee shop. There is a small town just over the bridge that was nice, Sausalito, get lunch there.

A must stop for locals and visitors alike. The walking path is great to stroll and enjoy the beautiful views and fresh ocean air. And of course you have the world famous Golden Gate Bridge, too. On a windy day, bring a kite and or just chill and enjoy the view.

This park has managed to bypass the requirement that national park areas be contiguous. As a result, we would be talking.about many very different areas in the Bay Area, I may be telling you about a part of the park while you are thinking of another. This place generally has captivating scenery and is very good to unwind on the weekends.

This place is gorgeous. The first time I was very confused at the one way driving and parking, but eventually got the hang of it by following other people. The views are spectacular and there is a lot of different things to look at; different bunkers and structures, plant life, cliffs, hills, bridge, ocean, etc. Lots of places to explore. On a nice day, this is a great place to go. Don't forget to bring snacks, water, and sunscreen.

My God son(Alan W.) treated me, his mom, wife, sister, mom-in-law etc, on a 2 hour Mother's Day Brunch cruise one of the Custom Ferries, and it was my 1st time ever, but I had a wonderful time with everyone. The food was top notch, the scenery once I was able to look out of the window was beautiful, they had live music, and all the complementary Mimosas/coffee you could want with your all you could eat meal. A very memorable experience...
