Fantastic views in this area, be carful of the Fog in summer. If you have a car head across the bridge and up the hill, go all the way to the top lookout then keep going, don't turn back, go down to the light house. Everyone turns back at the top and misses the best part. Then come back up through the old forts to the highway.
One of the most beautiful places I've ever visited. Plenty of scenery to swoon over and some great walking/mild hiking.
Great bridge to walk or bike ride around preferably with a nice electric bike or drive the little yellow car!
Simply beautiful, often with impressive crashing waves on the rocks. Also it is cool to be able to look up under the Golden Gate bridge.
I visited south rim, where is private place. Don't pay for sky walker, you can't take any picture yourself and too expensive. Actually the last Point of the entire course where there is the native american restaurant has much better scenery.
Fabulous views in a natural setting, yet so easy to get to.
Recommend to tour with bicycle to experience this area in depth.
Besides having several dozen view point on the Golden Gate Bridge, it also has hiking trails to the beaches which also has cool views. There are several decommissioned forts which is also cool to visit.
Very cold (of course!) but really beautiful. You can rent a bike for a nice ride along the ocean
What a Park. Even though I work at SF Maritime, GGNRA is phenomenal! Get out and hike the trails!
Absolutely beautiful scenery out here! The coast line is spectacular and the hiking trails are easy to navigate and not harsh.
Nice scenery, I even saw some seals. Tends to be a bit chilly so dress accordingly.
Beautiful park to walk around. Make sure you walk across the bridge at least once in your life. It's not hard, and the views on the bridge are spectacular. Don't miss other areas like Fort Point and the battery.
Easy access by public transportation, FREE for public visit and beautiful scenery
One of the nicest parks I've been to. Wonderful views, and a fun experience to walk the bridge. Expect crowds and be patient to park . Worth the effort.
It's located next to a highway what do you expect it's okay
Tricky getting down to the beach, but all the more rewarding for it. Almost no one there but for a few fisherman. I use a cane and was still able to manage without fall or injury. Beware of the incoming tide! It'll eat the sand out from under you.
Nice views of the ocean walk drive or bike.see the goldengate bridge or walk across.lovely place to visit.
Beautiful beach near a lot of fun things to do. I would check out the caves!
The views on either side and the dinner at the base are excellent
Such an Amazing place to visit. So many things to do and see. Things for everyone of all ages to see and do. Fresh air and so much history in one place.
Excellent hiking and biking trails. Historic batteries overlooking the golden gate bridge.
Great view specially on a clear day! If you are new this is one of the best spots for pictures.
Not trying to be offensive but it's really just a bridge
Very nice Area but before visit kindly check weather report as some time it is under heavy fog
So cool. Literally. Shaky walk. Ocean breeze. Beautiful views.
Good place to visit, you can feel the ocean breeze and is beautiful
The bridge is an American icon and always amazed by the views and the engineering. It was free to drive over the bridge leaving San Francisco but had to pay $7 to go back with a fast track pass. Worth it for the experience but would go broke if it was a daily necessity
Very cool place! Best views are from the north of the bay. Make your way to Exit 442 on 101, then up the hill to the vista points. Stop reading this. Just go see it!
Really had a blast with my kids who had never been to San Francisco. And good beer.
Nice beach and large car park. Restrooms are available in the larger lot. Good views of the golden gate bridge.
Nice area for the views and maybe picnicking and biking or just some lounging. The is a small place/cafe called the warming hut open til 5 too
Great. A great place that people should visit when traveling. I feel very excited.
Edge of the continent at the most pictured place in the world!!
Amazing views of the city. Can be a bit windy, so dress appropriately.
Beautiful spot if you want to see the Golden Gate Bridge up close! Go at dusk!!! There will be a LOT of other ppl parked too but it's so worth it!!
Decent park but lots of second hand pot smoke. The 420 games had lots of people smoking weed despite it being against park rules. Dont leave valuable in plain views lots of cars with smashed windows.
Beautiful scenery. Best time to go is early morning when the fog rolls in. Great photo ops and truly a national treasure!
Beautiful view. Pretty busy in afternoon. Avoid restroom, it was the dirtiest I've seen in my entire life.
Bicycled from Ft. Mason to Ft. Point this morning along Marina Blvd, Marina Green and Crissy Field. Fantastic views of the Golden Gate Bridge heading west and on the way back the City skyline. A terrific way to exercise and enjoy the outdoors.
Amazing history. Just a great place to do some walking and hang out on a nice sunny day
Best vantage point for views of the Bridge. Nice place for a picnic. Interesting history behind the Bridge.
Great area to visit both the national parts as well as the commercial and beach. Very rich area.
Love this place.. It's beautiful from the Vista point and battery Spencer view.
"Beautiful landscape with a wounderful monumental structure" - The Golden Gate SFO
The Golden Gate bridge is truly a wonder. I did multiple visits just to this lovely place. Its constant surrounding of water and fog (#KarlTheFog) is just mesmerizing. Everyday is a different look and experience. I was lucky enough to take an airplane ride over this marvel. Karl, you beauty, just keep making this place more and more authentic everytime I visit.
Beautiful place to spend any time of the day. All you need is good company!
So peaceful, doesn't even feel like you're in the city. Great view of the Golden Gate Bridge!!
very nice views, cold when the sun is gone or there is a lot of wind so take a jacket if you tend to be cold
Breathtaking vista. Everyone gets carried away by the historic eminence of the eras gone by. Beauty of the place is beyond anybody's words. Simply awesome.
This is an impeccably well kept area. I loved my time here, it was truly the highlight of my time in San Francisco.
Great open space with a small parking lot, outhouse bathroom, and plenty of places to dispose of your garbage properly. Hopefully everything who comes keeps up with maintaining the cleanliness of the spot
A beautiful (and free park) with gorgeous views of the GG bridge. Well worth a visit on any trip to San Francisco! Parking can be tight so get there early or take a Lyft.
It was an amazing experience to walk the bridge and to be in the park. A must for everyone. Overall, I would estimate it takes about 90 minutes to cross the bridge. One side is for walkers and runners and the other side is for cyclists.
You fall in love with this place as it offers beautiful view of bridge
Wine was all solidly good! Did a wine tasting: 1 white & 4 reds. Afterwards decided to get a glass of Barbera, which wasn't on the tasting, and it was the best wine they poured!
We had the bruschetta - excellent- and a piece of the best apple pie I've ever eaten! It was a daily special: miso apple.
The new bistro is gorgeous and Sunny, the bartender, was a delight!
Wonderful time among huge sequioas and the misty air blowing from the pacific. Just 30 minutes away from Central San Francisco by public bus. Wander around the trails and enjoy spectacular views of the ocean!
A great place to relax and explore around in! There is a long trail along the coast that leads to beautiful scenery. Be wary of the rocks near the coast however; they can be hard to trek through and can be dangerous if inexperienced. Also remember to check the weather or else the fog will cover up the bridge. Other than that, enjoy the view and bring your friends along for a great walk near one of San Francisco's most iconic symbol!
A great place to learn about the history of the bridge! Google for a self-guided tour of the bridge.
Amazing place to get as close as you want to the bridge.. So many excellent angles for pictures as well!
This place is absolutely astonishing! Was able to go here with my parents just before they had to travel back to Europe, and it was an experience we will never forget. We watched the sun go down and see how SF slowly lit up, with the Golden Gate bridge right there in front of us.
Beautiful scenery at the edge of the City. Easy hike down to the lands end
San Francisco has a lot of good places to see to visit to feel the breeze enjoy what is up there.
A Hystorical bridge in Los Angeles an open area with fresh air for the human
One of the best and most beautiful areas in the world! Historic. Naturally breathtakingly lovely. Much to see and discover. A truly awesome place to see and to "be" -- Spend a lifetime here or come for a visit. Experience as much as possible of the GGNRA for yourself!
Love San Francisco! And Golden Gate Park is where you go best place ever
Just in town for a few days visiting family. Our kids enjoyed the walk, although it was a little chilly. Be careful of the off leash dogs. Plenty of folks throwing balls for dogs to fetch. A couple excited pooches jumped and knocked over our kiddos.
Breathtaking green mountains and tall redwoods, completely covered in shade with peeking sunlight. Lush vegetation, endless acres and hills to explore and hike through. Unspoiled nature at its finest. Highly recommended.
It was a beautiful day at San Francisco. Come and see for yourself.
Great views of the golden gate bridge, parking was free (note this was on a Friday, not sure about weekends).
Easy on/off Fwy. Clean, no admit fee. Beautiful views. What's not to love?!
Beautiful view of the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco Bay....
Really great place to have fun with family, and have a picnic with a parking charge of only $7.00 for whole day(compared to the rest of the city -it's amazing) get great iconic views and an exhilarating mini hike up the stairs to have access for a walk across the bridge! Just make sure you have your navigation set to Crissy Field.
Great views, but be prepared for windy weather. Worth to take a scarf and warm clothes. Don't be suggested by temperature forecast, the wind is really very cold. Nice sidewalk and a lot of places to take a photo. You can easily left the car for free for four hours, during the week you shouldn't have a problem to find a place for your vehicle.
I visited Alcatraz with friends and the experience was amazing, they take you back on time and t
You can experience how these people suffer
It's a must see and beautiful landmark.please experience it if you haven't yet.and go back if you've been.its a very great reminder of the country and state we are blessed to be in.
Seeing the bridge from the many vantage points at the either approaches of the bridge was a memorable experience. We visited on a July day. The breeze was exhilerating and the intermitent fog added to the mystique of the bridge. There are a lot of recreational facilities at the sprawling park. Saw many joggers also.
