Walk under the golden gate, the fresh breeze will sweep your mind clean. The cries of the many birds in the marsh area east of the gate will fill your thoughts. Watch for a while the kiteboarders and windsurfers and imagine you are them.

Great golden gate experience biking across the GGB to Sausalito and ferry back to pier 39. Awesome family experience. Bring your fully charged gopro...and cam.
Best Views of the Golden Gate. Make sure to go to all the way up and then start coming down to view the bridge and ocean in one landscape.
Beautiful sightseeing and free restrooms. Come during the off season for the best experience. Then travel to the west side of the bridge for a better vantage of the bridge and the ocean as well as the bay. Just beautiful about midday.
Was at rodeo beach. Bit of a walk to get to, but worth it.

Simply a great location with stunning vistas and a ton of history, especially of interest for military as it includes so many former army forts and defensive fortifications. Some lovely beaches, coastal trails. All a short drive or bike ride to escape the urban craziness that is the SF metro area.

Golden gate national recreation area. Has a lot of great places that you can visit with your family. There are some area like Point Cavallo, Battery Yates, Golden Gate Bridge view vista point, Kirby Cove Beach, Black Sands Beach, Rodeo Beach, The Marine Mammal Center; among of others. Nice place for walk, learn about nature, swim, and the most important spent time with your family.
We did the zwierlein picnic area trailhead loop. Amazing views with a creek following the path almost the whole way. Park opens at 8am.
Awesome place so beautiful it takes your breath away. It is so peaceful and majestic. You feel like one with nature. A must see.
There's a great view and the traffic isn't that bad. There is space on the sides for bikes and people walking, which is nice.
Weather was great. People were nice. Did not conform to the image of California presented by big media.
Fantastic viewing point to see the Golden Gate Bridge. One thing I'd highly suggest is bring an extra jacket because the wind can really pick up and it's pretty chilly, but an amazing view of the bridge & entire Bay. If you catch a clear day with little fog you can see downtown San Francisco as well.
Wow! What a sight! For those not from the USA I almost considered it as the gateway to the USA as it was my first time going to San Francisco! Would definitely recommend walking the bridge.
Closest place from the floor ground (other than the Golden Gate center) to get the best view of the bridge.
Picture perfect spot and very spacious.
There's also a cafe where you can also get good quality souvenir but they are pricy.
There's a grass area and bike trails as well.
Must do:
- Rent a bike and ride acroos to Chrissy Field
- Have a picnic
- Walk the shore
- Step into the beach
- Take a picture with the Golden Gate Bridge behind you

A few things to note. It may look like a lot of parking but it runs out very quickly, so show up early. Be prepared for lots of hills. Also be prepared for a lot of sun. There are almost no trees.

This NOT Golden Gate Recreation area. It is the Tomales Bay wetlands as part of Point Reyes National Park.
This place is nice and calm. Take a pair of headphones and spend out a day here enjoying the water and hills behind.

If you are on San Francisco trip. The you should not miss this place. What a masterpiece! If you walk on this bridge then you will get an experience of suspension. View of ocean from this place is breathtaking. You will enjoy the breeze which coming over ocean.
Awesome place for a run, walk, or bike ride! 6 miles one way totally secluded and devoid of traffic. Beautiful reservoir views the whole way. It's a climb to start from the Sawyer Camp Trail entrance and a downhill to go back!
Amazing view! There is nothing else like it. I think there should be more safety precautions, therefore everyone feels safe.
Do it! Every stop we made was excellent! Ft Point, Muir Woods, Muir Beach, Marin Headlands, Palace of Fine Arts, Alcatraz, Angel Island.

Come to SF many times this is the first time visit this place. Really nice place, spectacular view of the bridge from another vintage point. The weekend is very crowded though.
Fun Place with tons of stuff to do. Then there's the awesome variety of Food in the area.
It can get windy & cold so make sure you have a jacket. Parking is limited.
I love this place, because we can walk on the beach and also there are places that you can eat . The food it's great.
Lots to do and see! Take like 5 days just to see all of it, and even then, I always discover new looks and crannies hidden all over.

The drive alone is worth coming here. Stinson beach is awesome. The cliffs and landscapes here are gorgeous...breathtaking.

Beautiful place to spend an afternoon or a week. So much to see and do, make sure to plan your trip out ahead of time and find what you want to do exactly. Great places to stop and take in the view, and take a picture or two. Should be on everyone's bucket list.

Sweeping views of the Bay and Golden Gate Bridge. Best way to see is on bicycle. Bike to National Park visitor center, lock on bike rack. Take National Park free shuttle throughout the Presidio.
It's brilliant on a sunny day. Full of history which transports you back to the early 1900's

It is really nice to be here. To be relax, to have a hike with your family and friends, and most of all, to have chance to enjoy the great nature here. There is water, mountain, trees, hiking trails. Amazing views here. I have taken plenty pictures here. Enjoy.

This is an amazing park with great walking trails throughout. It really seems out of place in a crowded city. It feels secluded but safe.

This place is very nice to visit I would recommend if you're close by to take a peek this place is also very big.
Beaches, cliffs, hills, forts, and towering redwood trees make up the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, easily accessible from San Francisco. Many visitors come to embrace the outdoors, whether hiking, biking, swimming, birding, riding horses, or whale-watching. But this scenic area is also rich in history and includes landmarks like Alcatraz prison and the Presidio, an 18th-century military post. You can even base yourself within the recreation area; Cavallo Point s rooms and suites occupy restored turn-of-the-20th-century Colonial Revival buildings that overlook San Francisco Bay.

Fantastic way to spend any part of a day. Excellent natural beauty and well-manicured trails around the Presidio and Crissy Field.The highlight is Karl the Fog. Arrive early to watch him burn off, or late afternoon to watch him swallow the Golden Gate Bridge.
Beautiful views of the bay and the bridges. Clean and safe... Lots of trails and things to see. Need more bathrooms, but they are clean.
Who doesn't love the Golden Gate Bridge? Once you cross over the bridge you can pull off the road to get some of the iconic shots I'm sure you've seen in magazines and on TV.
It's so beautiful to see the lights, the city from there. If you're scared of heights you'll be fine, it's shockingly not a scary high that you feel, it's just a cool experience
