Wonderful area! Lots of paths to walk or ride bikes on. Some areas look like a tropical rainforest. Lots of grassy areas to nap or play on. Parking can be interesting, but this is a great date spot.

One of the most beautiful places in San Francisco. A nice little wilderness in an urban setting. Sports Basement, YMCA, restaurants and actual parking. Great place for a hike, run, bike ride, kite flying. There are places to jump on a trampoline, climb a wall, buy or get a bike fixed. Find a little quiet, if you need it. Beautiful views. And something most national parks don't have a bowling alley.

Great place, that's why i live in pacifica near milagra ridge. The ggnra staff and volunteers are diligent at planting small native plants and they control their land with pride. However i find them irrational resistant to maintaining the trees properly. Dead or dying Monterey pine trees with pine pitch canker rot slow death are ignored, and not replaced with a new tree when totally gone. Never saw a single redwood tree planted by their staff. I heard they grow well near the coast....

Don't walk this bridge. Don't drive across this bridge. The only way you should ever see this bridge is on a bike. I may be a little biased here because I like riding bikes but there is to me no better way to see this bridge. In fact, there's no better way to see the amazing city of San Francisco. You can also bike to the north side of the bridge and up to the city of Sausalito. This was the coolest part of my entire travels in the Bay Area! Go far enough away from the tourist spots where it's not too busy and you will feel like your in a countryside village in Italy! Bike the bridge! Do it!

Beautiful place with fantastic views. You will find quite a bit of parking. It has free charging spots for your electric car. This has a nice beach to relax benches across the whole stretch to sit relax and eat.

This is a great place to visit. It is windy year round so be prepared w the right clothing. It is almost always foggy and I was told September is the best time to visit if you want clear skies.

WOW

WOW
Great place for a hike. Best to find a time when or is less foggy (see pictures).
Even with fog it was easy to find the trails, and the views weren t half bad.
Weather was slightly cool and nice, perfect for a short 2-4 hour hike.

This bridge is excellent bridge. There is no other bridge like this. This bridge is a little misdirectional because the bridge is not golden. The center is also excellent. I live this place. There cannot be any other place in world. Their mattresses are the best for the bridge. It is a wonder this bridge continues to exist. I am very pleased with the experience I had on this bridge. This bridge is one hell of a monumental miracle. This is really excellent in all the manner so please consider visiting this bridge.

Most of the Golden Gate National Recreation area is on the Pacific coast...... breathtaking & very photogenic everyday of the year... especially now with our old school winters.....it used to rain like this in the 1950s & 60s & 70s almost every winter & spring , all winter before that I'm sure too.....

Tennessee Valley Parking Lot in Mill Valley, CA and Trail Head. Hike all the way down to Tennessee Valley Beach, a black sand beach. Beautiful blue ocean waves, very ZEN. The waves and currents are dangerous though, so just be wise near the shore. Otherwise, fantastic 4 mile hike (round-trip).

Awesome place to visit. I prefer to bike the bridge instead of driving because you can t really enjoy when driving is better to take your time and see the story of the bridge and the big columns . Amazing structure.

This is the crown jewel of the San Francisco Bay Area. It'll offer deep history, unique lodgings and a very wide variety of recreational choices. You'll have to stay for several days at least to experience the whole gamut.

This photo was shot while on the Hornblower Mother's Day Cruise. We go every year and I have to say they are top notch.

It is usually a 3 hour excursion. The brunch was excellent as usual and if you are not happy with the music the DJ is queuing up for based on the crowd seen, you can always hop on to another level and crash their party to check out what another DJ is putting out. The third floor was hopping due to a younger audience.

it had awesome views of the Golden Gate Bridge. It was very nice out that day but it can't get very very windy and cold quick. Even though it's so close to the city it's as if you're so far away because of the untouched nature. One of the best places to view fireworks on 4th of July you can see three shows basically San Francisco Oakland and the other one far in the distance I forget LOL.

Definitely its one time visit place. If interested in architecture and history its must. For photographers its great place as well. For kids may be not. They are bored especially elementary kids...

This is one of my absolute favorite places in the Bay area. Beautiful vistas and the serenity that is available here makes it a must visit for travelers and locals alike. Great views of the Golden Gate bridge and the bay entrance are one of the highlights of this place.

Excellent view, u need to have a lot time to spend here. If you come from Fisherman's Wharf you can take route 47 at North Point street to Van Ness av and then take 28 route directly to Golden Gate Bridge, you can return in the same way. In the welcome center you can find restaurants, clean bathrooms and parking space

Great views and beautiful area. In SF you will always have to play it by ear in order to ensure you have see everything you want to. The weather and fog can be unpredictable and the winds can be fierce. Mark Twain once said "the coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco" and this is quite true especially at night. Layers are key in the city. Parking is scarce anywhere and everywhere most especially in the weekends but honestly, everyday. Traffic is also an issue so, you have to factor that into any trip you are planning.

I really enjoyed San Francisco. I recommend driving your own vehicle, as the famous SF streets are a blast to navigate. Be prepared for traffic, although nothing like Los Angeles' tangled mess. Be sure to check out Fisherman's Wharf, etc.

I love the Golden Gate National Recreation Park. There is so much to do on both sides of the Golden Gate Bridge. The San Francisco side has Chrissy Field, and Fort Funston. And The Marin side has The Marin Headlands which has the Point Bonita Lighthouse and the seal rescue center , the Visitor Center and a few really cool beaches. These are some of the coolest places in the Bay Area.
