Beautiful views of the ocean and bay if you hike out to Land's End, I enjoy beach combing on Ocean Beach and climbing the rocks at Suttro Bathes. There is also a nice park at Point Lobos and plenty of parking.
Pier was great with lots of shopping and food. Great weather for summer fun
It was a nice place to see and visit. There are some great views. It's something that I can say that I have done but I don't think I'll be back to see again.

Beautiful and amazing Golden Gate Bridge in Sf Ca USS
When I can't get to Muir Woods this is where I go. From arguello golf course past the cemetery. Visit "my" horse and then either in to the bridge or the palace of fine arts. I love the smell of the place. Nice walk.
It's a great view of the bridge but it is a head-on view. If you're planning on getting a picture to see how long it is, I don't recommend this spot. There are different spots for that. There is a cliffside that looks down onto a beach and it's gorgeous being able to see the bay from there.

Amazing that you can find as tranquil and quiet a place this close to a major metropolitan area. I spent a few hours here, but could have spent a few days. When you have had your fill of city energy, come here to recharge.

Gorgeous setting for the famed bridge and mouth of the San Francisco bay. The hills on the north side of the park make for amazing pictures and there are extensive hiking trails to explore. It gets windy here so bring a jacket even on the nicest of days!

beautiful, protected recreation area with lots of hiking, beaches, biking, and more. There are views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Bay Area, and Pacific Ocean. Highly recommend coming here if you are visiting and want to experience the outdoors. Be wary of the no dog policies in certain areas. You will get a ticket!

I can never tire myself from visiting this place. Thankfully, this time we discovered quite a few watch points and explored the golden gate bridge from multiple vantage points. One can easily forget the passage of time here, while gazing at the beautiful bridge and blue waters.
Great place to take photos of the bridge. They've got washrooms here as well as a restaurant. There is room to sit on the concrete that is outlining the shoreline.

Very wonderful experience at the Golden gate. It's worth to take the time and see this beautiful place and learn it's history... It is humbling as well.. best to take the hop-on hop-off bus tour and go around the City... Across the bridge even... Cruise is a must.. lots of things to do around the City.. children and grownups, both enjoyed alike!!
Wonderful place to visit. Views are incredible. Typically packed with tourists, Parking can be tricky. Lots of history and places to explore. If you know the story of the jail break from Alcatraz parts for the makeshift boat they prisoners made were found i8n GGNRA by the GG Bridge.
This is a must in San Francisco. It's worth every second of it. Especially when there is no fog!
This is the historic site of San Francisco, a world famous bridge called the Golden Gate Bridge of the USA.
Very nice walks at the afternoon. If the weather is good one can dress light clothes, walk on the sand, observe the sunset at the sea, take a lot of pictures. A place to go many times.
I give the Golden Gate National Recreation Area FIVE GOLDEN STARS. If you're giving the Golden Gate National Recreation Area one star you are very lame. it's always been a place to come visit and enjoy its beauty. 5 's THE GOLDEN GATE NATIONAL RECREATION IS A 5 STAR PLACE.
We went to the northern California girl scout Golden Gate Bridging event. Had a real good time. A bit chilly at first but warmed up in the afternoon.
Everyone knows about the bridge and adjacent parks, but what you might now know is that best way to enjoy the bridge is early in the morning about 6 when you can see sun rising on the other side of the bay behind bay bridge. Most serene view.
Awesome panoramic views. Currently, some of the trails are closed for restoration. Make sure to bring a jacket as it can get very cold at the top.
An Olmsted gem. Visited in the spring and loved how natural the park felt, even with attractions like a science center, art gallery and botanical gardens... Still so much free space to wander, bike and daydream.
It is a must visit place once in a life time. Each and every person loves this place.
Easy to get to and wonderful for walking along the beach (on the ocean portion of the recreation area). You don't need to worry about tide levels (unless you're near Fort Funston). It can get cold and windy, so check the weather beforehand and dress accordingly.
Sunday's are the best for biking & rollerblading with the kids.
I'm a bit birn but raised here kid ... I enjoy the historical landmarks and will continue to bring my family here to show them our roots and give them the San Francisco Experience !
It's nice, but the Park Police are a bit overzealous with ticketing the public. It doesn't make for a nice environment. I'd rather just avoid it.

Easy stroll through the park uphill and I got one of the most gorgeous view of Golden Gate and the bay. Really windy and chilly, even on a sunny day so make sure you bring a jacket. I saw cyclists struggling to go up slope with their rentals so be warned.
One of the best tourist spots - weather permitting - to get an incredible view of the bridges, the city. and the islands.

The Views are spectacular take time to watch the fog roll in. Clean and well maintained garden and walking area. Well worth a stop.
Nice area, for a bunch of pics, including the standard San Francisco pic with the Golden Gate Bridge. You can also access the bridge from near this place. There is a visitor center with some nice tshirts
This for fort Funston. Today it was extremely windy otherwise it was a perfect weather. Great to bring your dog. A few miles of hiking trails and gorgeous view of the coastline. Parking is free with plenty of parking spots. Bring water.

This park area is the "beautiful " part of San Francisco, and our Spring visit just happened to be very sunny and warm. Looking forward to another visit :)
It was great experience at Golden Gate, crossed the bridge and had an awesome beer and food. And main thing you can see the all the cargo and cruise ship going passing underneath.
Great little rest area! Vending machines and coffee vending also. There are Bathrooms here. Pretty clean too... Great place to rest!

First time here and man it was such an incredible view! I took a bunch of pictures and each one came out like a screen saver. Shout out to my fabulous sister for playing tour guide with me! Was my first time in Cali and I can't wait to go back!
Beautiful views!!! Great workout getting there, making it worthwhile and eliminating the crowds. Good anytime of the year as the temperature is pretty comfortable.

Most of the biking/horse trails in the hills above Pacifica hold up really well in the rain.

A nice place to see golden gate bridge, just be aware of the weather since it's to shy to show most especially on a foggy day.
Toilet facilities ok, view obviously awesome. Never observed any staff.

This place is really nice. The boat ride through out the area with an optional visit to the island is great. The ride below the golden gate is really great. It gives an entire view of san Francisco, Ghirardelli square, Fort mason, all the piers especially the pier 39 with all its sea lions. The cycle rode on golden gate is really popular to tourists. But to me the boat or the ship ride on the sea is much better.
Always beautiful whether it be foggy or crystal clear. Lovely views on a clear day, mysterious and ethereal in the fog.
A lot of gems hidden throughout the park. Best to explore with a bike.

There is a walking track on the bridge. I did notice many locks on the bridge. I was told that these locks were put by people who had wishes and once their wishes get fulfilled they come to remove these locks
When one is in the middle of the bridge they can see the ocean and Alcatraz island as well.
I love the freedom and culture colors of San Francisco and their food is amazing one-of-a-kind

I would give it a 5 star review but someone did a smash and grab on our car and stole thousands of dollars worth of stuff (we were moving cross country). The car was locked, all of our items were covered in the trunk and we parked in front of a busy bus stop in a paid lot. We filed a police report and no one did anything about it. It's a shame that someone probably watched it happen and did absolutely nothing and the police told us it happens all the time call insurance. Some of the stuff was irreplaceable.
Other than one bad incident, I love the Golden Gate, wharf area of SF to VISIT...it is pricey though and to live there seems absolutely absurd to me when you can live somewhere else for less money, taxes, snobs, traffic, etc.
