Badly in need of renovations, but I hope they don't tear it down. I like to be able to walk along over the water.

I can't say enough good things about this place. We're local and we drive through here and hike the trails regularly. I just wish they'd start ticketing the folks parking illegally and dangerously on the road going up from the base of the GGB. The last few times I've felt lucky to not have been hit. I can't imagine riding a bicycle through there. Be careful and enjoy the views safely.
Great place to walk, bike, run, etc. If you're lucky you'll see deer roaming around on the inner trail
Fantastic engineering work and a scenic spot with lot of history.
Pack plenty of water and snacks. A change of clothes would be smart for a swim, climate change, windy. Portable phone charger would be smart. Nice digital camera, rather than your phone, with a zoom lense. Prepare to do a lot, a lot, a lot of walking...or pack your bicycle. Sneakers and/hiking boots/shoes, a backpack.
Easily the best NRA. Check out Slacker Ridge or Tennessee Point! Point Bonita lighthouse is great too but often closed.
Muir beach is beautiful. My 10 year old loved playing in the water and searching for shells and rocks. I noticed many dogs who were off leash ( signs said this was permitted) and looked like they were having the time of their lives ! I like the fact dogs are able to run around off leash. Parking is difficult to get in the very small lot but this beach is worth visiting.
Don't miss the bridge! Walking on the Golden Gate bridge is a lot of fun. We spotted a bunch of whales in the water. Parking was not as hard as we expected. If you are familiar with angry bicyclists that want to own the road, they are owning the walking path here. They will yell at you for being on the wrong side of the path, even though many of them are also on the wrong side. I don't really see why someone would want to ride a bicycle over the Golden Gate Bridge. It is much nicer to take it all in by walking.
Sunrise is spectacular up here. Lots of parking and the morning sun puts some incredible light on the bridge. My little iphone didn't do it justice but if you're more of a photographer than me (which is anyone with a half decent camera) you would love the sunrise there. Grab a coffee before you head up and wear some layers as it can be chilly!
Amazing View of the bridge from here. If your looking for a good photo with the bridge in the background I was very happy near here.
What a wonderful piece of heaven and such a short drive from the Bay!
We Deai in Original Watches Of Premium Brands ! Fitbit Watches Also Available !!!
Always love visiting my birth city and all the beautiful sights.
Great location for seeing the bridge and spending some time near the water. Good bar at Cavallo Point too, if you get thirsty.
Great coastal hiking on well marked and maintained trails
I had no idea that this was in San Francisco but super glad my wife found out about it. We went to the Walt Disney museum and that was well worth it. Seeing all he did in his life and hearing him tell the stories was incredible. We also walked to the Lucas arts office to see the Yoda water fountain and all the movie stuff they have on display (the kids and I liked that way to much). This place also has a great view of the golden gate bridge. Well worth spending a day walking around learning about the area and the tunnel tops area.
The Coastal Ridge trail is arguably the most beautiful hike I've ever done. Rigorous uphill to get them glutes working and the view along the coastline is spectacular!
The beach was amazing! Water was cold, but worth the trip!
Very foggy morning, but great day at Covello Cove...lunch warmed up to enjoy a fab lunch.
Beautiful and huge park inside the city with so much to do and see
This place was beautiful it felt so great to walk on that bridge. I can t wait to go back.
It was pretty beautiful on the day we went, just outside Ghirardelli Square is the ocean and a great view while on the beach. Pretty romantic if that's what your looking for as well, traffic was horrible though.
Stopping by Pacifica for a stroll along the beach or a hike up one of the gorgeous hills facing the Pacific Ocean is one of the treats of living in San Bruno, a mere 10 minutes from this gorgeous coastal town. A number of cozy spots to enjoy brunch or a snack await you, and you can later burn the calories putting in a good walk.
On our latest visit, we had brunch with friends at Breakers Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch, where I enjoyed Huevos Rancheros (it gets busy!), and then walked north up the hill, and down by the trail... Great way to spend 3-4 hours on a Sunday.
Turtles water fowl fish and trees, this is a great place to get out for a run
Amazing views. You can get there by bus and rent some bikes there.
Every time I come to California, it's a must to visit San Francisco. Besides Fisherman's Wharf, the Golden Gate bridge is something I really enjoy. It's a unique and soothing experience while under the beautiful scenery of this world famous bridge... COME VISIT BEAUTIFUL CALIFORNIA
Usually busy tourist attraction. Nice views, in my backyard.
Amazing spot to check out even if you are a tourist here. I spent nearly 4 hours just walking through the park and I still have not seen it all.
Today it was full of fog golden gate was not visible
It was my dream . Travelling to SF and visiting the most beautiful and memorial bridge in US - GOLDEN GATE which we remember a lot of movies such as : DARK PASSAGE
Great fun for the whole family. Beautiful views all around.
Nice beach to walk and take photos of the golden gate bridge. Better view of the golden gate bridge is the area of the beach nearer to Fort Point
It's a beautiful ca beach. If we can get rid of the "do nothing Democrats" the state and it's cities would be beautiful
Great for walk on the beach. Always bring a jacket.
Beautiful views and scenery, perfect for a walk or bike ride
Beautiful views and also a very clean area. Worth visiting.
Clearly one of the most beautiful places in the world. You have the Golden Gate bridge as part of it plus the areas just north and south of the bridge. Starting in the North you have the natural beauty of the Muir Woods Monument and the Marin Headlands. Heading south you have the Golden Gate Bridge, The Presidio, Crissy Field, and Land's End and more. Even Alcatraz is a part of it!! You have to go to the website to truly understand how massive it is. Amazing!!
Great view bring a jacket it offers a variety of things to do and view
Beautiful but hard to find parking, also not easy to access
Good place for beach lovers. Dogs have a designated section, which makes that part of the beach best.
It was cold but we couldn't leave without taking a picture of the iconic bridge!
Just one of the best places to hike in the Bay area. So much to see and do.
It was awesome. San Francisco Bay area rocks there are lots of sellers in booths, you can look across the the water and see Alcatraz and tour it if you want to break the bank. But lots of places and tour old restored steamer ships sail boats with original furnishings and it's free to tour these places. I had the time dollars and I got 5 t shirts 4 shot glAsses And various trinkets for friends And family. Definitely awesome!!
Beautiful views. Great place to bring a loved one. Awesome photo opportunities
Absolutely spectacular view. From this point, the city of San Fransisco and surrounding mountains are clearly visible. The centerpiece of the view is the golden gate bridge, where the scene is unprecedented. Although the overlook does often get incredibly crowded. There is a large line just to climb the mountain around sunset. Although this is expected as the sunset is clearly visible from the mountain, and reflects off of the bridge and the city. If you were to see sunset from this point, I suggest going early and waiting up there at least an hour in advance, or going on a weekday
My big, active King loves exploring this beach/national park. There's lots of parking and we've never had any problems with the dogs or the humans who venture there.
Windy but great vista. The local bushes and plant gave hike pleasant aroma.
The tour and Ranger Dave were awesome! Service was great
It was great, huge and beautiful .I was really speechless while crossing it.
Stunning in rain fog or shine. A must view from both sides of the gg bridge
It's absolutely gorgeous here - the perfect place to relax and have a picnic
Take time to recharge with nature! A favorite place to relax and enjoy the beauty that is California!!
Great place to go very chill. May be crowded at times but it's worth going. Take your date with you.
A fabulous resource for all of the Bay Area use. Many miles of coastline, hills, park and trails all up and down the coast. Something for everyone I'd say.
An impressive structure to behold. Educational exhibits about the physics of the bridge. A gift shop and two food shops during business hours. Park is set up well to accommodate the amount of visitors that go to see the golden gate bridge. Wether you go by car, Uber, bus, bike or walk this park is ready for your visit.
Great walk across the Golden Gate Bridge 1.9 miles. Beautiful views from the bridge. Took the ferry from Sausalito back to San Francisco. Exercise with a view.
We spent time at a nearby park, so it's difficult to fully evaluate this site.
This place is amazing with great trails! Highly recommend the coastal trail!
The Park is beautiful at it's worst and there's so many amazing things to do and see... You can even watch some amature baseball games
Wonderful place! Beautiful views! It was really windy when I went so, my hair was in my face all the time. However, I was still able to appreciate the beauty in between hair slaps! I love visiting this area!
Always amazing to be there. Very picturistic. Nice views. But a bit windy.
Love that this park is so big...always an adventure!
I love golden gate park. The AIDS memorial is my favorite. The tea garden is special.
A great, extra Windy, spot to view the bridge from. The statue at the center is wonderful as well. Great place to stop on your way on or out... Just hold onto your hat.
Great park with lots of open green spaces and museums and gardens. Something for everyone!
The views were a lot better in person because the fog intergears with images it gives the wrong impression, the whether in Jan-Feb was like summers day. The people friendly and polite eager to give directions.
Great scenery, a bit chill and windy during the months of Dec to Mar. Easy access in and out of parking .
This place is an amazingly beautiful park. It has so many different areas to visit, and spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean, the Golden Gate Bridge, and woodlands. Some of the highlights are, the Nike Missile site, Fort Point, Fort Mason, Tennesee Valley, Muir Woods, and Milagra Ridge. If you can get a ticket Alcatraz is phenominal. Another hidden gem for history buffs is that they have their own archives for research.
