Clean, tidy airport

Clean, tidy airport
Facilitated procedures, God willing

It has been improved significantly and the process is a lot easier. The choices of food is although good, but limited to a particular types of cuisine. There is no alcohol allowed in the country, and hence no alcohol consumption or restaurant in the airport. You get all the facilities and a wide variety of your favourite cafes and food points, including Star Bucks, Burger King, Dunkin Donuts and may more. There is also a medical facility to help in case of any emergency. To better help you and ease the process of getting medicines that you want, there are medicine vending machines available that you can use and avail many health products. The restroom and the washroom are kept clean and are hygienic as the other airport washrooms. The gates are marked well and can be located easily. It is not as big as the Dubai airports in terms of the shopping area, but you get a decent amount of duty-free products that you can take for your loved ones. The staff is not so polite and it can get hard to understand what they are trying to say as they do not speak or understand English very well. So be prepared to experience a nice and comfy place and some officials.

Possibly the worst airport terminal in KSA. The domestic and the international terminals are far away and you need to take a bus between the two. It is a nightmare to put all the baggage in the bus from the international terminal and then take it out at the domestic terminal. The bus timings are not defined and you have to wait for longer periods of time for the bus. The domestic terminal is new and is well equipped as compared to the international one. The international terminal lacks seating space and for a full flight its a struggle to find seats. I would suggest avoiding this airport if its an option!

Terminal 1: This is the international terminal excepting for flights by Air France, Saudia and Nas Air.

- Terminal 2: International flights by Air France, Saudia and Nas Air are hosted in this terminal.

- Terminal 3 and Terminal 4: Terminal 3 and Terminal 4 used to operate domestic flights. They are currently inoperative, although both are being redesigned to increase the passenger capacity. It is expected they will be operative by 2019.

- Terminal 5 (Domestic): The newest terminal at the airport, opened in 2016. Handles domestic flights and links with 5 different destinations in Saudi Arabia. The terminal links with the other ones via a shuttle bus service (runs every 10 minutes approx.)

It was Very nice..

It was Very nice..
But construction work make confusion how and from were to get in also to park..
Than on Saudi Arabia Airline Terminal 2 there was no enough seats..and men's had used all of it and even sleeping on it..so I have to stay standing for more than one hour..
The most ashamed thing was..the elevators was out of service..so we had to carry the luggage on the staircase..
It needs more action to returned as before..

The airport is nice but because of the alterations to the metro, it may cause you to lose directions to some new people in this way. I would recommend that everyone pay attention before connecting to the airport at the crossroads to the right and left so as not to enter the left and this will make you get away from the airport both of us and need a great time to return.

King Khalid International Airport The passenger complex includes two internal terminals and two international terminals connected by three connecting buildings. Each of these halls is triple-plan, meaning it has a triangular base and has a floor area of approximately 47,500 square meters. The first terminal (TR-1) serves international airlines, the second terminal (TR-2) serves passengers on international flights on board Saudi Arabian Airlines, the third terminal (TR-3) serves passengers on domestic flights, in addition to the fourth terminal (TR- 4) Each of the connected buildings is 168 meters long and has an approximate area of 25,000 square meters. The buildings contain moving paths, restaurants, canteens, offices for airlines, government agencies and commercial markets. There is also a concrete building of three floors, poured in place and used as a car park for the halls and mosque buildings, and it can accommodate about 8,000 cars in addition to 3,600 cars on the roof.
