Great place to learn about visiting the Grand Canyon. They have an Imax movie that tells you about the first explorers to the canyon and it's many hidden secrets. Maps and very helpful personnel.

Imax film was good, but starting to show it's age since it was filmed 20 some odd years ago. Would be better if they did a reboot. There was a large selection of merchandise in the gift shop but prices were quite a bit higher than even the gift shops inside the park.

We found all people at their desks were friendly and helpful. The Imax movie was a joy to see. It has views of the canyon that are not possible since restrictions for airplanes and helicopters were put in place after a plane crash in the 1970's. We took a 2-hour adventure tour in a pink jeep. Our guide, Frank, was nicknamed Frankopedia for his wealth of knowledge. We highly recommend stopping by this Visitor Center, just a couple miles before entering the Park. (Don't forget your senior pass if you are eligible. You will get in the Park for free!)

My goodness...I haven't been to the Grand Canyon since I was 3, and now I get the privilege to observe nature at it's finest at 16?! Dream come true I tell ya. I'm proud to live in Arizona

It is not an official park visitor center so you cannot get your National Park passport stamped here. They had quick lunch options but I would recommend getting lunch inside the park at one of the lodges.

Lots of good souvenirs for cheap, and the guy at the counter was super cool and talkative. The girl at the front organizing the tours was also very helpful. Bathrooms smelled pretty foul though. I mean, legistically speaking, it's understandable that water and overall sanitation is difficult given the remote region so it wasn't a huge issue.

Big location with lots of unique items in the giftshop and has food. They also house Pink Jeep tours, which I highly recommend you try. They also have a really cool 3D film on the Grand canyon and it's history. Great place to start your Grand Canyon trip and pickup unique souvenirs for yourself and gifts for those at home. It's also not as overpriced as you would expect for the items, it's fairly decent prices for a giftshop.

Plenty to choose from for souvenirs. I collect the passport stamps at all the national parks though, and was disappointed that they would only give me a paper pre-stamped that I had to glue into my book. Its kinda tacky. Rocky Mountain NP did stickers, which were a little nicer. Step it up Grand Canyon!

They are supposed to attract international guests, and do. BUT, they have no tour guides, books, or information pamphlets in other languages except Spanish or Chinese! Really. Boo. How about French, Portuguese, or German?

Very nice facility i would highly recommend the imax movie about Grand Canyon. It is educational and it gives a good framework for seeing the actual sites. The Mather and Bright Angel is extremely nice.

Great place for gifts & souvenirs, stay away from the food shop. My wife & I went in to grab a bite, 2 Pizza hut personal pizza's & 1 sweet & sour pork was $38!! Then all of it tasted horrible. We would have been better off getting frozen pizza. The gift shop however has a nice selection of jewelry, hoodies, shirts, post cards, souvenir magnets, coffee cups, at decent prices.

West Rim was better, not as overcrowded, the traditional meal offered at south rim was poor, simply because they ran out of food, only overcooked, dried rice and other non desirable items I couldn't identify was left...Or we had to wait fort fresh stuff to be cooked, but this so called amazing movie that was of poor quality, started like 2 min ago and you couldn't take food into the theatre. Was rushed!

Good!
