Mythos Palace Resort & Spa Review

Very nice, renovated, bright and clean hotel. The staff (often speaking German) is very nice, the buffet-style food is delicious, there is always something for every taste. The rooms are big enough, clean and newly furnished. The pool could be a bit bigger. The hotel is located directly on the sea, the sandy beach is interspersed with larger pebbles, but you don't need bathing shoes. The beach chairs are as good as new. Note: It can be stormy, so the red flag is hanging and you are not allowed into the water (was on in mid-July 4 out of 14 days this is the case with me). Discreet, unobtrusive entertainment, which unfortunately does not comply with the Corona rules. Otherwise, only mask requirements apply in the restaurant (buffet with service). Bus stop, restaurants and supermarkets within walking distance. Transport time from Heraklion airport a good 1.5 hours.

Here are without exception all around the clock super friendly. The food is always perfect and varied (always live cooking), ambitious animators and every day after the beach a perfectly clean room and new towels.

Awesome resort right on the beach, multiple restaurants, calm clear water, plenty of things to do on site and nearby, with three all you can drink bars . Plenty of day trips to be had all around Crete. Spent a week here over my birthday in late October, weather was still good enough for swimming and mojitos on the beach

- Well-kept and green garden
- Wide sandy beach with sunbeds and umbrellas, gently shelving beach
- Tasty food, but not enough Greek, you need more local cuisine
- The hotel staff was very polite
- Sports entertainment, animators and themed evenings I recommend

Very nice hotel, great rooms, good food, super lovely and nice staff and right on the beach with free loungers and umbrellas.

Service and staff top. Otherwise sufficient. Older plant. AI works like that. With half board the prices are cheeky. V.a. at the beach bar. Room and area definitely in need of renovation.

Most of the stuff at the restaurant and bars very friendly and kind, great animation team our girls had lovely time. Ladies who make the room were very kind and every time our room was nicely and accurately made. We had a pool access room and pool was very clean. Beachfront is very nice. Inconvenience was at the buffet as because of current virus situation we have to stand in line sometimes long and ask for each piece of food the stuff as it was not a self service. And would have been nice for the evening meal to have smart casual dress code as people were at the dinner in flip flops which is not so nice even if it s a hotel restaurant. Thank you

The structure is perhaps not a true 5 star but my wife and I had a great time. We really enjoyed the all-inclusive formula and we found ourselves very well with the boys of the Franco-Red Antonio the very nice leader and Alessia the girl who ran the courses very good and competent. They were all very kind in satisfying every need and we felt pampered in everything. The structure on the sea lends itself well to spend the holidays in serenity and without thoughts ...

An admirable, charming and classy hotel with contemporary style. With excellent food. Try the buffet in the Italian restaurant. We had the best pizza ever there.

Have spent in July 2019 there beautiful 10 days. Were very satisfied with the service and the food and drink. Can only recommend the hotel. Price and performance were right.

A really highly recommended traditional restaurant where you are very friendly and attentive with the Greek delicacies spoiled only that there are no gyros was a shame otherwise really highly recommended

This hotel is located on the beach Great atmosphere, very tidy and clean location, lovely flowers, wonderful staff, very friendly and helpful :)! Delicious food and perfect service ! A wonderfully renovated hotel in which everything is stylishly coordinated. A wonderful beach and good food invite you to a relaxing holiday. We stayed here for 16 days
The complex is located directly on the sandy beach, you can take a nice walk along the beach, but the pebble beach starts very quickly, so you should take bathing shoes with you if necessary.
The hotel is located a few minutes from the small town of Kournas, which is fully equipped with small shops and bars for a short evening stroll.
We had a junior suite with a private pool and sea view. The small pool was always clean, the gardener cleaned the filter every day. There is plenty of space on the terrace for the two loungers and the parasol. The room has been wonderfully renovated and furnished in a very smart way, especially the lamps are very extravagant.
The room consists of two optically separated rooms that are safely designed for more than 2 people.
All the staff were friendly throughout and you got along very well with English and German.
In all-inclusive hotels we have already experienced a wide variety of qualities, even with 5 *, here I have to say we were completely satisfied and often really enthusiastic.

High quality all-inclusive services, friendly service & absolute relaxation on the beautiful beach of the resort !!! We felt at home from start to finish !! Our room was spacious, spotless, with many amenities and fantastic sea views. The food was plentiful and with unlimited options that can cater to every taste. In addition, in such a difficult time of Covid-19 we felt extremely safe on our vacation as the hotel complied with all safety measures and provided us all with masks and antiseptic. The hotel offers activities for young and old from morning till night. My friends and I happily participated in the Pilates program and the Aqua Gym. Our favorite moment was the night cocktails in combination with the live entertainment program of Mythos Palace. I will definitely visit it again and I recommend it 100% to everyone !!!

This place is great but, the beach is was closed off a day because there were just waves.

Stylish hotel with amazing service! Our room was very spacious with a private pool and a wonderful view of the sea! We tried the Italian restaurant (pure Italian taste) and the really sophisticated main bar, a real treat! We really enjoyed our vacation here and we are looking forward to coming back!!!

Warm welcome. Very nice and attentive staff in all areas. Well-kept complex. Nice renovated and clean rooms. Buffet with freshly prepared dishes. Fresh fruits and vegetables. Zaziki great. Dakos, stuffed grape leaves and other typical Greek starters always available. Unfortunately, many guests do not adhere to the dress code in the restaurant.

Wonderful resort, on the beach and with private pool rooms, spotless, very kind staff and really welcoming. We were guests for a dream wedding, organized on the beach down to the smallest detail, making it an unforgettable wedding. Angelikulla wedding planner has organized not only the wedding but also the days before and after for all the guests, from the hairdresser to the trip. Beautiful hotel really to relax. The beach is beautiful and clean. The staff is great. The spa area for the massages really nice and relaxing From the food what your heart desires. We had a meal in the tavern and in the Italian restaurant. Both Hammer The main restaurant is great. The chef explains everything if you book a jeep safari at the hotel, it costs 62 euros but every penny is worth

Great hotel. The entire area, the lobby, the rooms and everything else was very well maintained. Very friendly staff. React immediately to the wishes of the guests with a friendly smile. The food was very varied and delicious. Although the evening program left a lot to be desired (very bad), I give the hotel 5 stars because everything else was 100% perfect

Good all around. Friendly staff, tried hard to make the best of it despite Corona, rooms are ok, food varied and good. Unfortunately not enough staff for the food distribution. There is a buffet, but not to take yourself.

2 very nice weeks on this resort! The only drawback that may be smoked in the open-air area of the main restaurant. Very nice and friendly staff everywhere, we will book this hotel again.

+ clean beach, isolated small stones - but definitely walk barefoot

+ The animation team is always friendly and hard-working, but could be more professional overall (for example, the music breaks off in the evening because it is played by YouTube) - mglw. Not enough value is estimated by the management here.

o Food is varied in the course of the buffet, but it repeats itself permanently - but you definitely do not starve and always find something

- Food partly lukewarm at most
- Mini-bar was not filled (in acquaintances also in 14 days not even filled) - if you meet a cleaning force, you can address them and they try their best, something to refill

- the Greek evening did not please us - you noticed that the entertainers were missing. The "mini-disco" turned off completely. The (external) musicians were the "coronation": one smoked constantly (you can not even stand for one hour without smoking - or at least one song ??). Another seemed to the service very derogatory, the waiter was obviously uncomfortable.
Fortunately, the dancers (inside) have spiced up the whole thing, from then it was a bit better and it was ever something like mood.
- The buffets were partially cleared 30-45min before the end of time?
- very unfriendly staff in the hotel shop (10 -channon not partout - is it money, or I understand that wrong?)

Tips:
=> No room on the west side book (also front shared pools concerned), the main street is there very loud day and night.
=> Definitely in between times leave the hotel and taverns outside the tourist zones test.
=> Euro Rent Kavros - very uncomplicated and speaks German
=> "Taverna Pelagias Yard" - across the street, should be very good

The very well run beach hotel is located directly on the sandy beach. There were never any waiting times for the buffets. On the beach were almost always free beach chairs available. The staff is absolutely friendly and helpful. The guest service speaks fluent German, at the bars is English welcome.

Wonderful hotel. Who complains, makes it on too high a level. The staff was incredibly friendly and very accommodating. Food, location ... Everything fits. We recommend this hotel. It was a wonderful holiday for us.

Cute ... something is missing! Maybe pay attention to restaurant service! Even if half board ... what you pay for a lunch at least the water !!!

Great hotel. Very clean . Great facility. Very nice staff in all areas. You can see the beach from the room. A dream. High quality cushions on the loungers. Everything is well maintained there too. We had an air mattress with us. Since there was enough to borrow down on the beach, it could stay in the suitcase. We went to the beach in the Terverne for dinner in the evening. It was gorgeous on the beach. It was my birthday. It was already dark before the waiters came with a small cake and candles. I was very touched.

Hotel is nice, beach great, food not really greek more international. If you want to eat Greek, you have to eat outside hotels.

The Animation was a 10/10. Dimitri ist the best of the Animation. Because he Loves his Job an he is Friendly and always happy. But the oder are also very nice. The food was also Good and the Service was very Friendly.

Relaxing vacation.

Basically it was very nice. Unfortunately, it is often very windy on the beach. You have to reserve the loungers by the pool in good time (at least in the main season). The meal was excellent. Shops and taverns are about 500m from the hotel. We had half board at the time. In retrospect, however, all inclusive would have been better. Our room was nice, but we were close to the hotel bar and the stage. It was very loud there until 11 p.m. That was actually unreasonable.

We stayed as a couple for 2 weeks in the wonderful hotel and enjoyed it very much. It is newly renovated, located on a beautiful long sandy beach. When we arrived there was an extremely delicious welcome drink. After a short wait, we were shown to our room. This was nicely modern furnished, with bathtub plus shower, safe, scales, ironing board, TV, air conditioning and balcony.
The food always tasted good and you never had the feeling that the hotel was fully booked. As there is a main restaurant, a beach restaurant and an Italian restaurant. The entire staff is extremely friendly and in a good mood.
Despite all the good experience, we still have a few suggestions for improvement.
The beach towels could be a little wider and longer so that they also cover the entire surface of the newly purchased loungers.
With the drinks that you can order at the different bars, there is only to say that some things could go a little faster.
Unfortunately, we also had to find out that small blue threads were repeatedly found in the rice. The last point that we could do better is the cleanliness of the room. In one place or another you could clean a little better.
All in all, we liked the hotel very much, so we can only recommend it and look forward to our next vacation at the Mythos Palace

Good value for money for a 5 star. .. friendly staff ... good service. ..can do better with regards to animations. ..furniture classic and correct ... nice spacious room (side sea view) ... on the other hand if it is again I take a pool view the view is more beautiful. Overall very correct hotel for the price.

Our best holiday on this island. Hotel was very comfortalble. Rooms were very good, food was very tasty, and Staff was very friendly and helpfull. Stavros at the pool bar made the best mojitos . See you soon.

The service is mostly great!

Unfortunately, there are often problems with the sewer system from the hotel which has a very bad smell!

What should also be noted, the location is very, very nice from the beach!

But there are few opportunities to go out in the evening, etc.
The bus only runs every hour, so a car makes a lot of sense if you don't just want to be in the hotel!

Fantastic complex and a beautiful sandy beach ... staff extremely friendly

We stayed here last week! Nice resort and friendly staff! I was delighted to see how the guys from the entertainment crew were picking people up from the beach for various activities: football, aqua gym etc.

In terms of the surrounding area they made the place look nice. I mean my balcony was at the bottom floor so I didn't have a direct view towards the sea, however, I was delighted to wake up and look out the window at a beautiful green park. We had our own mini swimming pool which was a plus!

The rooms are incredibly large. There was enough space for 4 of us instead of two. It was great! And I was impressed by the maids' carefullness when we were out. I was pleased!

Nice place, very friendly service, unfortunately there is no requirement to wear masks, which in the current state of Covid 19 is a threat to tourists living in this hotel.

First of all, I would like to express my great compliments to the staff, who are always super friendly and funny.
But the facility is also well maintained and beautifully designed.
As far as the choice of food is concerned, I am overwhelmed as it is ensured that there was always variety at the buffet except for the standard such as noodles (etc.).
In addition, the food tastes very tasty and the nice staff of course also made sure that you always felt extremely comfortable with food, on the beach and at the bars, with meals and drinks.
But not to be forgotten is the animation team that has always provided fun and entertainment and that is always very successful. Be it during the day on the beach and at the pool area as well as in the evening at the main bar on the small but nice stage
If you still want to see something of the island, you can ask the nice gentleman from TUI what other offers are available on the island
Even if TUI disappointed us at the beginning of the holiday ...

Everything was very nice and everyone was very friendly

The beach is excellent and the beach is commendable. The hotel didn't deserve 5 stars.
- two trundle beds that kept sliding apart
- Mosquitoes in the room, had to buy insect repellent for the socket themselves
- Room musty and only cleaned every 2nd day.
- Private pool too cold and only 1.10 m deep. The main pool too cold
- There was only still water for the minibar, the minibar was only refilled once a week
- No original drinks, but from the pump with syrup
- Food is bland and actually always the same, an imposition for us
- There was only one drink in a 0.2 glass with the meal
Hotel has potential in principle. Unfortunately for us it was disappointing.

More than a 5-star hotel it looks like a 4 for the structure and 3 for the services .. surface cleaning in the rooms, every day we found some missing pieces, broken stool, toilet paper holder on the ground, unscrewed sink .. as for the food c 'is a wide choice in the main restaurant from 7:00 to 21:00. The "Italian" restaurant and the one on the beach offer pizza, pasta, chips and desserts. Waiters very polite, too! they also greet you 10 times per meal. All inclusive but drinks are charged after midnight. Positive note is the fridge in the beach bar where you can take water bottles at any time. The sea is not spectacular, classic Mediterranean sea, to see beaches top council: Balos / Gramosa (excursion by boat, preferably by private owners) Elafonissi and Preveli (especially for palm trees). Pleasant pool, as early as early in the morning the families occupy the beds with towels. It was not a satisfactory price-quality structure.

Nicely furnished rooms, with air conditioning, TV, kettle, coffee and tea, safe.
The animation team is not intrusive and offers entertainment every evening, as well as sports and games during the day.
Food is very good. Large buffet, continental and Greek dishes.
Pool and gym free of charge.
Quiet location because it is on the edge of the hotel complex. 5 min walk to restaurants, bars and souvenir shops.

Beautiful hotel right on the beach. Staff very friendly and helpful at all times. Corona measures are implemented perfectly, we try to make everything as pleasant as possible for the guests.
