Jack was extremely helpful, patient and accessible in my experience with Myspace NYC. I asked Jack a million questions and would call/text him at any time/day, and he would answer with patience and enthusiasm. It was my first apartment that he helped me with. It's very daunting to do all of this by yourself, for the first time. Jack helped me get through this process, and I moved in all within about 3 days (could've even been sooner if I had everything I needed right away).
Thank you Jack. I appreciate you.
**Gillian is who I initially was in contact with (who is also a part of Myspace NYC). She put me in touch with Jack. She was also super friendly and sweet, in my interaction with her.

Keanya Gubitose worked very hard for my roommate and I. She found us the perfect apartment for our needs, and it was under budget! She always made herself available to us to answer any questions we had during the process of securing our dream apartment. Thank you Keanya! :)
We worked with Brandon and he was super great! He took the time to sit down with us and map out each location to perfectly fit into me and my boyfriend s commute. He took us all around Brooklyn and gave us so many great options. We worked with other realtors and Brandon was the only one who took the time to get to know us personally. I would recommend him to anyone.
After dealing with a couple of less than professional realtors in Brooklyn, MySpace was a refreshing change. Monica was great to work with, making sure I was kept in the loop after we had a curve ball thrown our way. Rachel was really helpful in the signing process too. Highly recommend!
I would highly recommend Jamie Pelletier to anyone wanting a pleasant and hassle free experience looking for an apartment. Professional, local knowledge and respectful. Jamie went above and beyond my expectations and was a pleasure to work with!
Ha!!! These people started a new google profile bc they have terrible reviews. So I am posting my old review again:
Liars and thieves. They will say anything to take your money. Do not use them. They got me to pay $200 for the credit/ background check. Then jacked up the rent at the lease signing!!! There are plenty of other realtors to pick from. Zero stars. Garbage people.
Go find the old reviews from them. There are many similar stories.
My agent Gabriel was very kind and helped my mom and my family with everything, we are very grateful, I would totally recommend this company for the Spanish speaking community.
My agent Gabriel help me and my family with everything, he was very helpful and informative, I will totally recommend this company and this agent.
Do not do business with this agency, SHARI LOUIS told me a room was available, and I paid $793.10! To hold it. Then she told me that it s not available and it hasn t for a week now (seriously? you made me spend my money?) . She said there was another room available for $700.00 I said I wasn t interested, but because I wanted to move so badly I messaged her the next day and said I m interested, a few hours later she said the landlord filled it up on his own. I said cool because I m not going to get into it with her the fact that I trusted her and she tried to scam me, now she s going down! she and her company. I seen the same AD that was a day old for the same place being advertised and messaged KRYSTAL who said it was available (WOW).I messaged SHARI Louis From a different phone number and said Hello, I m interested in the room in Cypress Hills, She said yes it s available with Good credit and income. then I messaged SHARI LOUIS on my original number and said so I should be expecting my refund in a few days and that the $700 room is gone because the Landlord filled it up right? She said yes . All I can say is I better get my Full refund of $813.70!!.
Do not work with this agency, they are shady and full proof scammers, I reported them to DOS.NY.GOV Good Luck .
P.S. I m waiting for my $63.70 from a place that was already taken.
Had a great experience. Dylan S. was great, and everyone was very accommodating when we wanted to move in a month early. Would recommend! Cannot stress highly enough how much we appreciate all they have done.
I ve worked with Oliver Makula and I ve got to say that I ve never met an agent as professional and accommodating as he is!
He s been very reliable and helpful throughout my apartment search. He s responsive with inquiries and ensures the client doesn t get ignored. He s also good in follow up. Looking for an apartment can be very tedious and time consuming but Oliver made everything smooth and effortless.
A lot of agents from my experience will only show you their listing and afterwards wouldn t follow up on you but Oliver made sure he sends all the pertinent information and offers alternative apartments if the first one doesn t work out.
He s also very knowledgeable of what he sells. Not only knowing the specifications of the apartment but he provides information regarding the neighborhood. It truly shows that he knows what he sells! Impressive!
He s very personable as well. Very friendly and knows how to carry a great conversation. He has a positive demeanor that makes his selling more enticing and convincing.
met a great agent named Keanya Gubitose at MyspaceNYC. She is a native New Yorker with tons of knowledge of Brooklyn. If you are wanting to move to Bushwick or Brooklyn in general she is the agent for you.
I had nothing but a great experience with MySpacw NYC. Everyone from the agent to the management was very professional, amiable, and helpful in finding a great spot for me at a great price. I will definitely be using them for future rentals/leases! I highly recommend if you live in BK
I contacted Eitan in regards to a listing in Bed Stuy and he was kind, polite and courteous in every encounter I had with him. We arranged a time to meet to view the apartment, and I fell in love with it right away. Unfortunately, I had already submitted an application to rent another apartment through another company called Nooklyn so I was stuck waiting to hear back from them. After no reply from Nooklyn for a few days, I finally got confirmation I was not going to be accepted so that I could happily apply to Eitan s listing. The process with Nooklyn was extremely frustrating for me as they were very unprofessional and unethical, but Eitan helped me with any questions along the way so I was able to seamlessly apply for the MySpace listing. When I heard back about getting accepted, I wanted to view the apartment once more before signing the lease and Eitan gladly arranged to meet me to quell any last minute reservations I had. When I met with Subrina to sign the lease, she was extremely knowledgable and helpful. I would definitely recommend using Eitan and Subrina from MySpace in your next apartment search!
My wife and I relocated from Chicago and were looking for a new place to call our home in NYC! Dylan was super nice, professional and accommodating and answered all our questions. We found a place at 7pm and were able to start the paperwork right that moment and Dylan and the team made it happen that we already heard back the next day that we were approved! Super smooth and easy process, not pushy and really honest feedback and insights! I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a new home !
Most unprofessional real estate firm I have ever encountered. There are plenty of buildings out there in NYC... go to a professional firm who will take care of you, not one like this.
Total Sham. They appear to be running a bait & switch operation with the listings on their site vs what is actually available for rent. I reached out about an apt, spoke on the phone w/ rep Chad Payne that night. He was friendly, I was really excited about it told him it was my dream spot, checked all my boxes, & that I'd move my schedule to see it next day. We made plans, set a time, only to have them cancelled the day-of. Then the very next day he told me it was no longer available. Even though I also requested to see it the night before & that day! Long story short, I got cancelled on THREE TIMES IN ONE WEEK, where I asked about a specific apt - agreed on a time, & moved my work schedule only to be cancelled on 1-2 hours before the appointment. Everyday it was some excuse about not having access to the keys, or that "management lost them" - and then him trying to post-pone viewings one more day. Additionally, even when I included the exact apt link & their listing ID # in my request, he acted like he'd never heard of the place. (what is that about?) He also had all my requirements & continued to send me apts throughout the week that didn't match my criteria! MySpace NYC was a complete time & energy suck in my apartment search process.
Coming up from a small town like Tallahassee, FL to NYC, it was daunting to even begin to think about the potential difficulty of finding an apartment in a city where it seemed to be near impossible to find a serviceable place for a reasonable price. I chose one weekend to look over 15+ apts, which is probably normal for most people, but stressful nonetheless. My agent Jamie P made the process smoother than I could've ever imagined. To be completely honest, I had some other places in mind in which she was not the broker, but her enthusiasm, proactiveness, and desire to help me (she was literally on queue anytime I'd call) pretty much made my decision for me. This process also seemed way less about the money for her, which is really refreshing in a business where it seems like people do literally anything for a dollar. I can't speak for other agents within Myspace NYC, but if they are anything like Jamie, the company is in good hands. Thank you guys.
Robin should be the first person you call if you are looking for an apartment. She is truly the best agent I have ever worked with and has helped me find TWO amazing apartments in the last four years.
Robin really cares about her clients. Within a few hours of first contacting her, we were applying for the absolute DREAM apartment that she managed to get us in to see. She works so hard and I trust her completely.
Katie was really helpful and great to work with. She really put in the extra effort and was really responsive and punctual. She knew my exact needs and I am very satisfied with the place she found for me at the last minute !!!
I've tried to view 4 different properties with myspace on 2 separate occasions & on 4 out of 4 of the occasions, the realtor discovered that he WASNT ABLE TO GAIN ACCESS to the properties, and each time he calls someone from the office and they tell him to knock on a neighbors door & ask if they'll show their place to me instead, which results in a door getting slammed in our face & an angry neighbor. Why would you waste people's time like this? your one job was literally to open a door and you couldn't do it lol. I tried to avoid myspace after the first time this happened but they have their reps posting incognito on craigslist and facebook, i'd recommend asking these people first before you waste your time going to view their properties
I had a wonderful experience with Jordan, Danielle, and Subrina! My roommate and I found the location online and contacted them - and we got an immediate response. They were always very responsive and very communicative. So far a great company to work with! They were very flexible in meeting with us after hours (I work late hours). We just signed our lease and will be moving in a couple months. As far as apartment hunting/signing and reviewing leases...this was as smooth as possible. Very happy and would definitely recommend!
Everything went really smoothly. We met up with Tom and he showed us the apartment the next day. Then took us back to the office and got everything in order. Answered all of our questions and was super helpful!!!!!!
First time working with a third party agency and it has been the worst NYC housing experience. Corey in particular (who is our agent's "boss") says a lot of things that either aren't true or that he doesn't mean, and then tries to get personal with you in order to make you feel bad and/or give in to the scenario (mostly in the form of incredibly lengthy text messages.) (Not to mention, feels comfortable enough to say you seem like bad tenants and further insult you, but then "bends over backwards" to make sure you can sign the lease (that you no longer want in the first place) ...so he can get paid! Go figure. Welcome to New York.) When we put a deposit down on a unit, he told us we'd have to go through an interview process with the management before our applications could be fully processed. After we submitted paperwork, we received an email from the closing manager suddenly saying that we were approved, and that the "interview" is actually the lease signing. On top of not being able to get our deposit back after being approved, we weren't allowed to be in any sort of contact with the management before signing which we weren't notified of until it was too late. In other words, if we find out that the management is awful upon meeting/researching them, we will still lose our deposit if we back out for this reason. Awful communication with us and especially amongst eachother. Sad excuse for a trendy business. Heard they were legitimate but should've scrolled through reviews first. Will never associate with MySpace again, but would definitely work with Lakeino, our primary agent, in a heartbeat.
David and Rita were so incredibly helpful in my apartment search! I was living in NC and needed to see places urgently while visiting NY one weekend and they were beyond accommodating! I fell in love with a place in Ridgewood and David helped me with the easy application process! I just moved into my new hone today! Sooo excited!
My roommate and I had an amazing experience using MySpace to recently find our awesome apartment. Our realtor, Oliver, was extremely fun, transparent, and informative. Our best interest was his first priority. He was able to find a place that perfectly matched our needs under our original budget. We appreciate all the help. Highly recommend- ask for Oliver.
I wish I could give them zero stars. They are incredibly misleading -- they ask for a deposit to hold the spot before showing you the rest of the paperwork, which turns out to be incredibly restrictive and financially invasive. I don't know if I should walk away now and lose $700, or stick with it and risk being screwed further...
Honestly most stressful lease signing of my life. When asked what time and day we were available to sign.. we were completely ignored and asked to skip work in order to make it convenient for the MySpace employees. They care more about themselves than their customers. Then at the lease signing which was rescheduled last minute after finally coming to an agreement on a meeting time, the staff was sassy and seemed annoyed. Would avoid this company at all costs. No respect for the people that keep them paid.
If you are in need of help to find an apartment, I highly recommend Reda Janah from MySpace NYC. He worked with us and helped us find a really nice one bedroom, in our price range and the location we wanted. During the whole search and application, until we signed the lease and after, Reda was there for us. He was very responsive, kind, supportive, encouraging, reassuring, and patient. We are so thankful for him.
I had a wonderful experience with MySpace! Everyone I met was honest and extremely helpful. Brandon Sanders worked so hard to make sure I got what I was looking for. I felt like he always had my best interests in mind. I highly recommend Brandon and MySpace. Thank you so much for helping me find my dream place!
Worked w/ Jamie - helped us find the perfect place in Brooklyn! Was super helpful and attentive when we needed her. :) Definitely will continue to work with her in the future!
Vicky was professional, well-informed, helpful and above all gracious and a pleasure to work with. She assisted me with all the paperwork and somewhat taxing requirements for moving to a new apartment and made it feel seamless and easy. I am thankful to have been helped by someone so honest and transparent. Thank you MySpace NYC!!
It was a great pleasure working with Jessica and Subrina in getting my apartment, at first I though it would of been difficult and I wouldn't get a place due to not having a guarantor but thanks to Jessica for reassuring me that it would be fine and everything will workout and thanks to Subrina for working with the owners of the apartment and seeing me through with it.
Reda and all of Myspace NYC employees helped me find a new spacious and affordable apartment for me to begin my new family with. I greatly appreciate everything they have done for me.
These people are sharks. Speaking from my experience of course, but being honest. Financially if you dont want any suprises then it's best to do your own searching whether that be craigslist or your own network of connections. However, if you are new like I was then you may need to tap into organizations like this. In that case go with someone like Roomeze etc. They are more down to earth and not trying to screw you...In my opinion. Summary...Don't work with MyspaceNYC and use good judgement in any other case.
I had a great experience working with Jordan from MySpace! He was very accommodating and worked out an amazing deal for us. Unlike most brokers I have worked with in the past, Jordan had our best interest at heart. He was able to get us into the space a few weeks early and was happy to show us the apartment after we signed to take measurements. I tend to ask a million questions and he always answered professionally and in a timely manor. Would definitely recommend MySpace to anyone looking for a new apartment
Oliver was an amazing realtor and I am so grateful for everything he did for us. My roommate and I were moving to NYC from a different state and he really went above and beyond helping us find our apartment. We are so in love with the place and if we ever leave it, Oliver is our go to!
The broker responded to all my calls/emails in a timely and efficient manner. They explained in detail the steps of the process and assisted in resolving any issue that came up.
I used MySpace a few years ago to find an apartment and they made it so easy that I contacted my agent, Tom, again when I needed to move. He asked what my budget was, and what neighborhoods I wanted to look in, then showed me a few places. The second one I saw was perfect, and I signed the lease that day. He's super helpful, and knows the Brooklyn market inside and out. Tom was even helpful when I needed to negotiate a move-in date with my new landlord. Moving can be a real b*tch, but he made it tolerable. Thanks Tom, thanks MySpace!
I worked with Jamie Pelletier, and the only word that comes to my mind is brilliant. She not only helped me find the apartment of my dreams... she found 5. Her attention to detail and impeccable taste left me in awe. She is also very kind; one night after showing me a few apartments it began to rain and she ordered me an Uber ride home. Sometimes it s the extra little thoughtfulness that really make the difference. Recommending her to all of my NYC crowd.
We had a great experience with Reda, Subrina and the agents from MySpace. They definitely increased the traffic of potentials beyond our own ad, and ultimately found us two tenants that fit our brief almost perfectly.
I had a great experience. My broker, Tom, helped me find a great apartment in Williamsburg. It was my first time in New York, so I didn't know the best areas of town. Tom showed me were to find VALUE for my dollar.
I have since recommended to my friends and family, including my brother Eric.
I never leave reviews, but Tom @ MySpace deserves one. He broke down an intimidating rental experience, making it a whole heck of a lot easier than the last time. He was super patient through the process and helped me find a killer bachelor pad after my divorce. Thanks again bro!
The New York rental market is extremely stressful and the team at MySpace NYC (especially Reda) found us an amazing place and got us to signing within just a few hours. Made our lives so much easier!
Me and my roommate had an incrediblely easy process with our Agent Wileen and our Closing Manager Subrina. MySpaceNYC made the whole process smooth as a whistle!
My broker was Jamie P here at myspace. After moving 5 times in 4 years in NYC this last move was nerve raking cause i only wanted to find a place that i could finally make a home. Jamie showed me my current apartment and (the first one that i saw) but after talking with Jamie, she calmed me down and i took the apartment.. All i can say is it was the best decision i ever made. I never want to leave, and hope i wont have to. I HIGHLY recommend Jamie she has great apartments / personality and she'll be real with you about any questions you have.
From the initial apt viewing to the final lease signing, the whole process is pretty smooth and efficient. Cassandra is very responsive and professional. She shared the apt information very accurately and helps me with every step along the way. Thanks to the detailed work of Subrina and Mary, who patiently assisted with preparing and signing lease, all paperwork is completed in a timely manner. It has been a great experience working with their team and I will recommend their quality services to other fellow apt hunters.
- You fill out an application and pay $100 to apply. - Once approved you need to put a deposit down. - Once you show up to review the lease you see it's different than what you applied for. Some were even applying for pets and you find out no pets allowed. - If you decline the apartment because it's not what they put in the ad or application, they'll keep your deposit. - If you choose to continue you have to finish paying a 1 month fee, which they call an "option".
They're con-artists hiring broke kids to run around scamming anyone they can.
As exciting as finding a new apartment can be, it is equally as daunting. I've dealt with brokers who promise to show an advertised apartment and then give you an address to a completely different property. On other occasions I've found what would be the perfect apartment only to learn that the listing price is not what it actually is. I found a listing by MySpace and met with Jamie Pelletier who was honest and extremely attentive. I was in a pinch to find a place to live and she ended showing me the perfect apartment. It was exactly how the listing described and she was prepared to answer any and all questions about the property. She even had a cool laser tool to measure the dimensions of the rooms that she busted out right there on the spot. In less than two days she had all the paperwork ready and made sure to secure my future home.
After I found on a place, Subrina was extremely helpful during the approval process. It took about 2 days before I was making an appointment to sign my lease. I highly recommend MySpace NYC.
My roommate and I went down last Saturday June 15th and Christian Dosamantes showed us one apartment that we didn t love so she drove us to another one (we didn t drive into Brooklyn we took the train). We loved the next one but soon after we left her we found out it was taken off the market. Then a new listing came up on Monday and Christian went and viewed that apartment for us and took a video because we were back upstate and couldn t see it. We loved it, did the rental application, called Christian 5 to many times, and we just got approved today. Not only is Christian reliable, she goes above and beyond for her clients. Answering calls and texts within seconds, driving us to apartments, and helping us through the steps of getting this apartment. Cannot thank her enough! Would recommend her to anyone looking for your next apartment!
Carly S was outstanding and she works hard to make sure her clients are satisfied and goes above and beyond. She made my experience one to remember, choosing the rite agent is equally as important as finding your dream place. You can t go wrong if you choose Carly S.
Definite 0 stars. My roommates and I nearly lost $2,500 to this company. We signed papers saying we would have a move in on the 2nd of the month, and after putting up our deposit were told that our apartment wouldn't be available for at least a week or two. This left us homeless and living out of a U Haul, which we wound up having to pay out of pocket for. We played phone tag with three of their employees, each one explaining the situation differently. They then tried to shift us off on to another, smaller apartment, in a less desirable neighborhood.
It was a classic bait-and-switch, and we fell for it. Beware these guys. They kept our deposit and left a desperate group of college students without homes. They insisted it was just business.
MySpace NYC is a fun office with great, attentive employees. The lease signing process was simple but thorough. Definitely recommend them for apartment searching and signing!
I couldn't recommend MySpace highly enough. I've typically approached the apartment search process with cynicism and skepticism but my experience with MySpace has been a positive experience from start to finish.
I was able to find an apartment through Tom who was responsive, helpful, and accommodating the entire way through. To be honest, I was not the easiest perspective tenant to work with but Tom was more than willing to work with me to help get an apartment locked down that I absolutely love. The next time you are looking for an apartment - go through MySpace!
I interviewed with Michelle to work as an agent in their rentals department. Michelle was super easy to talk to and answered all of my questions. (Being a new agent, I have a lot of them). I ended up working for my family's company instead, but I can see MySpace is definitely a great place for new agents to start. No hidden fees, free training, and a laid back office. If the firm I'm at now doesn't work out, I'm coming back for sure!
Tom was easy to work with, showed me a bunch of places that fit my budget. Mary made the paperwork easy. Renting can be confusing in the city and they helped lay it our for me. Thanks guys!
I ve had a terrible experience with this company and Allyear Management which works with them. They overcharged us for absurd things when we moved out. I ve never received an email or confirmation email about my security deposit. I ve sent two emails about it and not one reply. Never received a copy of our lease. We followed all the procedures when it was time for us to move out and nothing was left in the apartment. We cleaned everything, all the dust, cat fur, countertops, bathroom, as best we could. And we were still charged about $4-500 EACH for repainting and moving out late, and leftover cat fur. I never want to work with this company ever again and will definitely be spreading the news to my friends looking for apartments.
Myspace NYC was amazing! They made the entire process so smooth and enjoyable. Couldn't have asked for a more efficient staff. I'd recommend them in a heart beat.
Christian D. @ MySpaceNYC was the best broker I ve ever had! My roommates and I set up an appointment to view a few apartments with her and she was very communicative via text (sent videos of the units before we saw them, answered all of our questions, etc.) We ended up touring 4 apartment units with her and loved the last one we viewed, so we submitted our application and accompanying documents the same day. Christian had our file submitted & approved by the landlord in less than 3 days! The whole process was very smooth. My roommates and I are so happy with our MySpaceNYC experience and are so excited to live in our new apartment! Thank you Christian!!!!
Fred did a wonderful job assisting us in narrowing down our choices and finding the perfect apartment for us! He truly went above and beyond to make sure we acquired and were happy with our new place. Thank you so much!
Michelle and MySpace is the worst she will take you in and make you think your going to money you will NOT! You end up paying for everything and they will steal your clients. Do not work with Michelle or MySpace! The pray on people who say to themselves that you're not going to quit is only going to lose you money and time. If you can waste that try it.
*This review is also being written two weeks prior to official move-in date, FYI*
Admittedly, the broker we worked with was a straight shooter who kept it real and really gave us solid options for our budget. My biggest qualm is the overall customer service.
My room mate and I didn't feel exactly welcomed to be working with them. The entire process seemed very much bottom line driven. They seem more concerned with getting your name on a lease than they do about providing a genuine relationship and basic courtesy. I felt like a number, a signature to sign, a deal to close.
The entire process was very much "k thanks bye". May not be a big deal to some, but if you're a company providing a service to people there should be a default level of positive interaction and not just revolving door treatment.
only good thing this company has going for it is the agent Brandon. He hustled to show me all options in my budget and had a good sense of humor which is paramount in an industry notorious for discouragement and complication. MySpacenyc should work harder to set its agents up for success by ensuring keys are functional, updating listings efficiently and encouraging clear communication amongst its team members. I ll be honest, I doubt I ll ever work with this company again but I would work with Brandon again.
No "stars", but I had to add at least 1 to post this review. This company ripped my daughter off for her 1300.00 deposit. She complied with MYSpace rules in order to receive a refund. Myspace NYC gave her deposit to a landlord even though my daughter DID NOT sign a contract. Renters beware!!!!!!
Vicky was so great to work with. It was my first time finding an apartment in NYC and she was extremely patient and thorough, making sure I was well informed about every step of the process. She is so sweet and answered all of my million questions and concerns. Highly recommend!
Gillian and Matt were two of the most professional agents I've ever worked with. Both were entirely helpful and communicative, making the search an absolute breeze. If you have the opportunity to work with them to find a place, know you'll be able to count on them!
Amanda E. was amazing to work with. After suffering a few defeats with other agencies, Amanda worked tirelessly to help me find my dream apartment in Brooklyn. She was professional and caring, and went above and beyond to make sure I found a place I was happy with, had my musts and musts-not, and was within my budget. The process was quick and efficient, and she was able to advocate for me. Absolutely recommend her as well as MySpace NYC. Thanks!
Beware! Travis Tighe and the Broker of this office are not acting in good faith. They will use your inexperience to their advantage. Even with a signed agreement and $1600 to take property off market for 24 hrs these crooks gave the unit to another party. I repeat -bad ethics and SCAM artists!
