Yesterday we went to see a 19th century painters room, and a temporary exhibition of Mexican painting, and apart from a painting we enjoyed, we were surprised by the number of people who visited the museum's beautiful rooms mid-morning. Something will have the place for such an audience !!
For the rest, the environment in which it is, in the old part of the city, the most noble and worthy of walking and enjoying the pleasures of urban contemplation that it offers the visitor, is another great incentive for the visit. Do not leave it disappointed !!

The museum has at the entrance a closed park quite quiet and well spared the noise of the busy street. Good place to sit and tour the sculptures placed throughout the park. Small corner of fresh air especially in summer.

First time that a museum reminds me of the Louvre. Very beautiful collections of sculptures, a crush on "Christ in the Garden of Olives" of Chasseriau A superb part "Arts of Islam" which is developing. And beautiful temporary exhibitions. I highly recommend !

The sections dedicated to Egypt and the coins are really interesting and worth a visit. The restaurant is nice even if a little expensive. The terrace certainly deserves.
