Very nice museum.
Garden course at its entrance, restaurant with views of the garden and shop. The labels of the exposed items are clear, it would take about 3h for a complete visit.
I recommend this museum.

Was expecting a more complete display of impressionism and post impressionism; two minor works from monet, one small portrait by van gogh, no degas or seurat, one or two manet -- and the modern art section was closed. Disappointing and not worth the 8 euro.

You can buy (not expensive) the young card for visited most of the museums of lyon free way. And you can go there whenever you want. There is not much of the world and it's pretty cool all there is.

This place has a great assortment of art and artifacts. It is worth the while to check out the history. The ancient Egypt exhibit is particularly spectacular.

Superb building, beautiful and silent cloister, beautiful rooms with magnificent works, a moment out of time in Lyon center! Thank you for the trip!

An incredibly rich museum in a very pleasant and well arranged place. Friendly staff. Good restaurant that served us at 14:30! thank you, it allowed us to have a lunch break without going out. Wide variety of works Hurry to come back because seeing everything at the first visit is not possible.

Good only because its free but dont bother with the audioguide. Some of the exhibits were interesting but no context or background is given, theee is no story to connect with (might be better if you speak french?)

The facilities were good and the works were so good, but it would have been better if there was a little explanation in English.

You can not listen to the explanation in Spanish, only in French, English or Italian. They are terrible these French.

Very beautiful pieces, especially antiquity with the Egyptian period. Majestic paintings, the magnificent and pleasant garden. A little extra for the temporary exhibition dedicated to Matisse! Plan a half day to see everything!

Only downside: the lighting of the small paintings of the Impressionists whose scenery sky is masked by the shadow of the frame. So difficult to value their works. Please !!! Change this lighting. Otherwise the visit would have been perfect. Attention also some rooms are not available between 12h-14h.

Really a gem. Many spectacular collections especially the statuary on the lower floor and the 16 th century Italien and French oil paintings. Veronese, Tintoretto, Perugin

If you don't have time to go to the museum at least take advantage of its magnificent central courtyard !!!
