Many contents to explore, sculptures, paintings and other cultural relics. Spent a whole afternoon with my friend here but didn't manage to go through all the things. It deserves more time.

An art museum with a very rich collection, I really want to come in to Lyon. I intend to buy a ticket or a Lyon City Card in advance, because the ticket purchase on site requires a long queue, and the inside is very large.

One of Lyon's great treasures. The museum boasts an excellent collection, a capable and friendly staff, and a wonderful courtyard that provides a peaceful place to escape the crowds of the city center. Don't miss the excellent sculpture hall and the small-format landscapes by 19th century Lyon artists.

A Museum of Fine Arts located in a magnificent Palace which lends itself perfectly to painting. The inner courtyard which is open access is a haven of peace in the city. As for the museum shop, it is full of little finds and very interesting books.

The idea of thematic tours is very beautiful. Maps available for visitors.

The gardens, decorated with sculptures are a haven of peace, as well as the coolness in summer. Limit yourself to a few rooms. You cannot watch everything with interest. The provision of audio guides is a plus.

A must-see museum in Lyon, always superb temporary exhibitions and nothing but the small garden and the building that houses the museum are worth a detour.

Excellent museum, very good expos and explanatory texts clear, I have not yet tested their guide service.

Hermitage Museum - everything about everything. There are interesting sculptures of Rodin and 19th century impressionist paintings (Renoir, Degas, etc.)

Great museum of the finest arts, a lot of exquisite paintings!

Fine collection of sculptures and paintings, not to be missed!

The permanent collection is cool, but all signs next to the pictures were explained in French, nothing in English. The most important collection which includes Picasso was closed for refurbishment until end of March. Except for that it was a really fair price, they have free lockers and the part that covers Egypt is cool. Just we aware they close at 18:00 so be in advance as you might need minimum 3 or 4 hours.

Very beautiful museum in a magnificent setting. The gardens of st pierre (the interior courtyard) are accessible free of charge and are very nice, away from the noise of the city, shaded ... nice for a quick lunch on a bench

Nice museum, but that with the app does not seem to work so well, if you do not want to down the entire guide and as we have seen, then only in French :(

Very good museum with a superb permanent collection and very good exhibitions like Los Modernos which was a huge crush especially on the photography side where I took full view ~ only flaw for me but it can be avoided easily, the shop space where everything is expensive even the smallest thing, but again, nobody forces you to go through the shop side so it's okay ~

If you visit Lyon a fundamental stop is the museum of fine arts. Bright, welcoming and animated by all its historical pieces. Wonderful.

I enjoyed the film which shows Picasso painting and the evolution of his paintings.

If you are in Lyon and you love art it is an inevitable visit. On three floors, in a beautiful historic building with a shady and cool inner courtyard in summer. It is a generic museum: we start from the Egyptians with very interesting pieces and we gradually get to the 20th century. There is a painting by Picasso and one by Bacon ... two works that I love. Unfortunately, the internal cafe is very sad and the library is very small. But in any case it is worth visiting.

As usual always beautiful works on display. At this moment MATISSE until March 6, 2017 not to be missed ...

Very nice museum! By cons it takes at least 1 day to visit ... we will return with pleasure! I advise the purchase of the map of Lyon museums rather than a unitary entry.

I really enjoyed my visit to the museum. I preferred the section on antiques. But it's more a matter of taste.
Remember to book your during the Covid 19 period.

Super expo art and matter, please touch. We did it twice with my 5 year old son. Only downside this exhibition has many human forms. It could include objects or animal sculptures. But otherwise very nice museum, very nice building and very nice welcome by the whole team.

The inner courtyard and its garden ... A small corner of calm in the middle of the tumultuous city. And what memories in this place.

It is wonderful to have collected this far. Even if I visit the place for the guide, I will reply in English hard.
However, since the interior seems to be a maze, it becomes uneasy whether all the works can be seen.

The exhibitions are great, the permanent exhibition has very beautiful sculptures. But everything is expensive.
As for your wicket, they should ask if we are -25 years old or unemployed people, just to not pay full price.

A place to do in Lyon. The place is very nice and the exhibitions are varied. Do not hesitate to eat on the terrace or even for a drink.

Normal, nice museum. Not the Hermitage in St. Petersburg, of course, but you can spend time. Take an audio guide necessarily, because all descriptions of exhibits are only in French.

2nd largest museum in France, just after the Louvre. A must see

The Museum of Fine Arts which is located potting soil is a marvel. Excellent and exceptional works in a course very well thinking. Guided tour of the Emperor Claude: awesome: informative, funny, between art history and palace intrigue, the guide is really great. Practical and comfortable earphone system. Adapted from CM1: my daughter loved and did not see the time pass, although the target audience is rather that of adults.

I do not like the new hanging, I can not find the paintings I loved, they returned to the reserve ......

A wonderful classical fine arts museum with a superb collection in a unique old palace.

It was crowded with schoolchildren and there was no clear route through the museum which made it confusing and seemingly random. Obviously the artworks are amazing but the museum could be better.

We had a very pleasant time before this pandemic disrupted our lives. To do!
