Dont be late! They are RUTHLESS and will make you pay full price for the next ticket. They said it was a 20% discount but really it was 1.9% less than I paid yesterday. Money grabbing **lovely people**
Been stranded on the side of the road for 2 hours on a broken down bus due to head to Perisher. No ETA no update and no discussion of compensation. Very poor service. Additionally Bus was 20 minutes late leaving the depot.
Cheap, on time and comfortable journey. I've done the Canberra to Sydney trip many times and is definitely recommended.
Don't have to worry about driving. Issue: I freeze on the bus so take something really warm on there. I travel a bit and it's every ride.

Originally, I only rated this service three stars. This was because the old coaches had broken air-con, and the seat wasn't as comfortable as I'd like. However, since then, I've used the service again - this time they've completely replaced their coaches with new ones, with much better seating by far. Couldn't be happier with the new service, so now it's five stars. Update May 2019: since my original reviews, I ve continually received excellent service - until today. Due to nearby light rail works closing the road, the coach bay was moved. Rather than communicating this change in travel confirmation emails, Murray s were quite unprofessional and simply posted someone at the office door to direct customers around the block to the temporary coach bays. After running over there, the staff are not nearly as friendly as normal, checkin is being done of a printed page instead of a tablet, and upon asking a question in a friendly manner, the driver of my coach starts yelling, and just everyone in general seems quite stressed out. Another driver also tried to intervene when I boarded with an empty coffee cup (to dispose of in the bin on board). I get it - Saturdays are busy - but realise that maybe some of us are seasoned commuters and regular customers on your services. Altogether, pricing on this service has also steadily risen, for honestly not much gain. The old coaches are gone, at least. This is just so much pain for what should be a Opal-enabled, frequent service provided by rail or government coaches.

The bus are mostly on time and reliable. Staff are very friendly and willing to help anytime. I love the fact that you can get 1 trips for free after 5 trips!!!

Pretty decent bus ride from Sydney to Canberra , there was free WiFi and so I was happy lol. The people seemed pretty cold though ,all glum faces. Overall the bus ride was good.
these buses stink. clean the bathrooms properly please. nobody wants to spend three and a half hours smelling stale urine.

Great coach company with unbelievable customer service. I left my bag containing my passport and laptop on the coach at Sydney airport, just 2 hours before I was to take my flight. I rang Murray's and they seamlessly had the bag transferred onto the next coach traveling to Sydney airport where I picked it up (hardly having to move a muscle) while still having time to make my flight with 2 minutes to spare.

Good service, very reliable and easy. Never had an issue being delayed or late for international flights. Clean and comfortable, with onboard toilet which was clean. Would recommend. Efficient service boarding too.

Very disappointed that Murrays changed their departing site at Central but with no sign or staff to tell what is the new location for passengers to take ! This is terrible & totally unprofessional & unacceptable!

Took 3 trips in July '18 from Sydney to Canberra. Nice coaches and courteous staff. Over all very comfortable journey.
Driver was a bit of a worry. Passive aggressive, rude and not the best driver. Not the kind of person that should be driving buses.
Brilliant service. Great to have onboard WiFi (gomurrays) and appreciate the underseat USB charge points. Staff load the luggage and check you on in what appeared to be a very well organised, quick and efficient process. Taking a Murray's Coach allows me to see the world go by in comfort, relaxation and very smoothly. If you plan ahead there are some incredibly cheap seats on Murray's coaches available. After having driven from Canberra to Sydney a plethora of times over many decades and despite the quality of the route nowadays I find the drive tiresome. And taking the trip with Murray's instead has some real benifits. While of course at the end of the day you really and obviously have to weigh up the pros and cons of driving against taking a Murray's coach. However it is a great way to reach Sydney Airport effortlessly. But the things you need to consider are, do you need the convenience of a vehicle when in Sydney? Are you willing to bear the cost of parking in Sydney? Deal with the frustration of Sydney's poor road conditions? Are you willing to deal with the inevitable traffic congestion? Willing to accept the vehicle fuel costs in comparison to a Coach seat ticket cost? Despite having originally come from Sydney I am no longer prepared to accept most of the above. And after using Murray's coaches for a recent weekend round trip to Sydney. I am more than willing to stick with Murray's coaches for this journey in future. While Murray's coach travel may not suit everyone's needs. It certainly has some very positive appeal to me, but at the end of the day it's a personal choice.

One of my favourite ways to travel, lots of services to Sydney & a daily return service to Narooma, connects at Batemans Bay with Premier motor service.
Cheap fast and convenient. Remember to arrive a little before departure so you get a good seat, and be mindful of where the sun will be (there are curtains but it's still better in the non sunny side)

After taking the plunge to try and get their passengers to Sydney on Saturday 21/12/19, the bus was forced to turn around and return to Canberra due to the bushfires. The passengers were immediately refunded. 100% gratitude to handing the whole situation with such professionalism. You tried and without success you returned our loved ones to us safely. Interesting terminal. The food is way overpriced, as expected from a convenient store. Coaches leaves on time and arrive mostly on time. Better solution for a Sydney visit than airplanes.

Australian Capital Sydney Airport is the most convenient and cheap way, the price is close to the European Flixbus, but the hardware configuration and service quality are stronger than Flixbus
I travelled from Bateman's bay back to Canberra, after spending 4 weeks down at South Durra's, I had the two seat's to myself.
Good service, only dissatisfaction was other passengers rudeness but driver was fantastic at sorting it out

Took Murray's Coaches from Canberra to Sydney. The bus was fantastic - it was new, modern and clean with wifi (good connection the either ride) and USB ports. Our driver Murphy was lovely. He was courteous and amiable and advised us during the trip when we should put on seat belts due to strong wind buffets. Even so, I found the trip to be smooth and comfortable. We left 10 minutes early and arrived 10 minutes early.
Tight and cramped seats that offer no support at all for taller occupants. Driver is friendly but service staff in the past have been very rude and inconsiderate at the Jolimomt centre. However theres really no alternative to getting upto sydney at $35 a trip.

Surprisingly pleasant trip from Sydney to Canberra and back. Wifi worked, we arrived early both ways, everything clean and comfortable.
They've improved massively since 10 years ago. With that said, the price does seem to have increased slightly along with these improvements. The recent updates to the website have been the biggest overall improvement - especially to those that remember how awful the old website was, now it is much more user friendly and quick to book. I'm amazed to see how much this company has improved. Well done to everybody who works for Murrays
Reliable and on time. Friendly Coach Captains, and comfortable buses. What more could you ask for? About the only additional thing you could ask for would be on-board wifi!!!
I have traveled with Murrays several times and it has never disappointed me with their services. The buses were on schedule almost all the time. Their patrons are well behaved and knows stuff and would help you with your queries.
