My favorite ski resort thus far!! Natural terrain, awesome terrain parks, all natural snow, tree skiing is truly something to write home about, and all the employee's are in good spirits.

When it's cold and rainy in Portland, there no better place to be than a snowy Mt. Hood Meadows! Whether you like downhill groomers, deep bowls, or mazes of trees, Meadows has something for everyone. The staff are smiling and helpful and the events are super-fun. With a season that can extend into May, you'll have months of enjoyment! Every day spent here is a day well spent!

Love Mt Hood Meadows but getting tired of so many lifts closed. It's my third time with limited lifts available and it's clearly not weather related. On my last time it was sunny! May be they don't have enough staff? If there is a policy, it was not communicated nor discount on the ticket.

Good ski resort with awesome views and trails when the top of the mountain is accessible. Snow is usually not great, there is heavy traffic if you are not arriving before opening time, and there is limited parking.

Amazing place, the instructors are good. It is better to arrive at the latest at 9:00 am to find a place in the main parking lot. The rental equipment is in very good condition. It is a little expensive. You need to carry chains or snow wheels

A magazine article about this ski area warned against the Disney-like crowds and atmosphere here, but given other options for skiing, it was the best thing going - more terrain and more challenging terrain, higher altitude for more and better snow, great views of the mountain during the drive from Welches. I was surprised by the speed of line movement to get to lifts. I had expected the worst since it was the first weekend for season pass holders for free weekends. Even though steeper terrain and cliffs attract some to ski bowl in government camp, it is the lowest of the nearby ski areas, giving it slushy, heavy snow. While timberline is wonderful for a short ski day, many skiers and boarders will get bored pretty quickly by the tame terrain.

Our family had a BLAST! We went up mid-week and we're able to park in the second row. We had done our research previously and had three kids in snowboarding lessons and one in day care. We arrived early and everything was extremely stress free. I really enjoyed the terrain(even though most the mountain was closed.)

My wife said she would be willing to drive the 3.5 hours to come back instead of going to our local mountain which is an hour away.

The school was good and the instructors did a great job with our kids even though the 4 year old was totally off the wall that day.

Brought our two 16 month kids and some friends here on a hot summer day. We came here to get up on the mountain but avoid the crowds at Timberline. My friends are not really hikers so they enjoyed seeing the mountain yet having access to clean bathrooms, food and some drinks. The hike to Umbrella Falls was great. Sure, it's not a wilderness setting but if you were inclined you could easily hike up above and away from the lifts. Basically its a great alternative to get good views of the mountain and enjoy some mountain scenery.

Discounted lift ticket and equipment rental along with your lesson. I was basically a beginner, having not been on skis for 20 years, and only once back then. By the end of the 2 hour lesson I could control my speed and direction reasonably well on green runs. Now I can ski to my son's snowboard competition areas.

Awesome ski terrain... the best on mt. Hood!

Downside: Prices are going up DRAMATICALLY for the 2018-2019 season. The are no overnight accommodations at the resort.

The weather is much different up here than it is near Portland. There is a ton of snow up here even when Portland doesn't have a speck of snow.

The ski resort has a relatively small parking lot. There is a slight chance that the parking lot fills up if you come too late.

You can reserve a rental for skis and snow shoes. They have multiple hills you can ski down. They have multiple trails you can walk. Please inspect the equipment at the rental location. My friend got a snow shoe that was missing a latch.

The restaurants are pretty nice. The spiked warm drinks are pretty amazing. I got the Meadows hot chocolate and it was delicious.

Mt Hood Meadows turned me away at 12:30 today, wouldn t let me drive up the road to the lots saying they were full. But there were lots of folks leaving, driving down and obviously there were parking spots open. Told me I could go to Hood River and use their free shuttle , adding 1.5hrs to my trip up and since I was heading to Bend afterwards adding another 1.5hrs. When I tried to explain this to the typically rude Meadows lot attendant, he walked away while I was talking to him. No care at all. Wouldn t let me wait there for the lot to open. Left angry and hating this place more than ever. Been skiing here for 30 years and I finally can no longer take this place s conceited disregard for its customers.

I have been a snowboarder for a very very long time now and meadows has been a massive winter playland for me as well as a good number of my family and friends. I have found a home away from home in the park and ABSOLUTELY love the pipe! My 1st season i was a skier and a really good friend of mine was semi-pro and as I was on skis he taught me the basics of how to use snowboard properly and I enjoyed it so much I started looking to buy a snowboard and that Christmas my buddy gave me one of his Burton snowboards with a set of boots and bindings! I threw my skis away and have never had any desire to ski ever again! Thank you Mount Hood Meadows!!

Great place to shred. Have been here close to 100 times over the last 2 seasons and its pretty money. Been only a few very minor things holding it back from its 5th star.

PS: left my wallet in the bar with a good chunk of change in it and the super chill long haired server we had returned it full earlier this year. Wish i remembered to catch his name.

Place is nice and food are fine... we are there for the view anyway, winter wonderland, kids love to play there and I just watch... renting stuff is a bit expensive for the whole family.

Good place, kids love it and I prefer to stay warm with the foods, fairly clean.
