I was surprised by the speed of line movement to get to lifts. I had expected the worst since it was the first weekend for season pass holders for free weekends. Even though steeper terrain and cliffs attract some to ski bowl in government camp, it is the lowest of the nearby ski areas, giving it slushy, heavy snow. While timberline is wonderful for a short ski day, many skiers and boarders will get bored pretty quickly by the tame terrain.
